My dog had a great time and it was the first time she had been there. I love the pictures posted to see how she is doing and who she is playing with. The report card is a great idea too. Definitely a great place to take you dog for a day and get them good and tired.

We have been taking Zoey to Charlie's Bark Park in Belleville about 2-3 Days per week for about 3 years maybe and Zoey LOVEs this place and the Staff! Charlie's Bark Park in Belleville is a great place. My dog loves going there and gets excited and whines and wiggles her butt every time I say "daycare". She always leaves happy and tired. The staff is also very friendly.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR DOG! I took my son’s dog to Charlie’s Bark Park for the first time on August 9, 2017. She was only there for 3 hours – from 1:30-4:30. When I brought her home, I noticed she had been bitten several times and ultimately had to take her to the emergency vet for stitches. When I asked the owner about what happened, he said they didn’t know she had been bitten. He said these things happen and he will not accept any responsibility for what happened to her. My son questioned the verbiage on their website that states “Our Dog Park staff are experts when it comes to introductions! Dogs who are new to daycare will go with a small group of compatible dogs. Newer dogs are constantly observed during the first several days of attendance.” The owner told him that statement probably needs to be re-worded. It should be noted that when I picked the dog up, the “handler” that was supposed to be watching the dogs was in the reception area talking to the receptionist and obviously was not caring for or watching the dogs. Since my dog’s son was new to the site, according to their website she should have been with the dog at all times. This obviously was not the case! He also insinuated that my son’s dog was bit because I brought her in the middle of the day instead of first thing in the morning. My son again asked him about this statement on his website “Half Days – You are welcome to drop off and pick up anytime during our open hours. A half day is 4 hours or less. We do have a 15 minute grace period because we all run late once in a while!”. He said they are going to get rid of the half day option. If newer dogs are constantly observed, how on earth is it that she was bitten in several places and the staff at the bark park were not even aware of the fact she had been bitten. My son asked to see the camera footage and the owner stated their camera system is not working. It should be noted that when I took my son’s dog to the vet to have the stitches removed, my vet said she has had several dogs come to her that have been bitten or have been injured while at Charlie’s Bark Park so this is obviously not the first time this has happened. If you love your dog and care about your dog’s well-being and health, DO NOT take your dog to Charlie’s Bark Park!

We took our pup there after various attempts to trim her nails (including having the vet putting her to sleep twice). Chad did an amazing job! He and his team member took the time to explain what would happen and although we heard a few yelps/whimpers she was back out in about 20 minutes with her nails done!

Charlie's is absolutely amazing to us and our pup. Our dog is deaf and therefore can't be trained the same way a normal dog is trained, and the people at Charlies are so patient with him and give him the type of coaching he needs. Our dog gets so excited to go to Charlies during the week. We are so happy that such amazing people work at Charlies and that our dog is so well taken care of with them!!

My two huskies have been going to Charlie's for almost 2 years now. This is the best place, the staff is so caring and my dogs love being there. Chad and the staff communicate so well with us and are accommodating of any extra needs our dogs have. We have boarded our dogs there as well and they do so great since they are familiar with being there for daycare. I would never take my dogs anywhere else, and I would recommend them to anyone.

This is the best dog boarding place I have ever sent my dog! It is seriously worth the money. I walked in for an unscheduled tour the day before I dropped off my dog and the owner was so willing to chat and show me around. The place smells nice and their operation is so well organized. They write directions for feeding/toys/medication outside of their kennel so you know they are being fed just like they would at home. The owner gives the dogs plenty of time to adjust before the dog gets thrown into the daycare crowd. I was so impressed with his tour and the way I saw the dogs playing in the daycare, I was sold! I picked up my dog and he looked so healthy (if he does not have a good time he is usually full of dandruff). I was not worried about my dog at all during our weekend away. I am excited to have a place I trust in Madison to take care of my dog during the weekends we cannot. Thank you Charlie's Bark Park!

My dog Ruger and I love Charlie's Bark Park! He can't wait to get to day care in the mornings to play, and sleeps so well after visiting. I was nervous about boarding, but the staff are amazing, and make sure you feel comfortable. I love that there are so many extras I can add to make his stay with them great! I would recommend Charlie's to anyone!

Chad, Heidi, and staff consistently go above and beyond to ensure that Cooper and the other dogs are happy and well cared for. I tried to write a review, but there are so many issues with this facility(mainly the owner) that I couldn’t fit it into the word limit, so I will sum it up as best I can. Long story short, the owner of Charlie’s Bark Park is extremely rude, disrespectful, and condescending. My fiancé and I took our dog here while we were on vacation because the facilities reminded us of the facility that we took our dog to when we lived in Florida, a location that we as well as our dog had very good experiences at. I wish I could say the same about this facility.The main issue with this facility is how the owner treats people. My fiancé and I each had interactions with the owner in which the owner was condescending and extremely rude. He is a self proclaimed “dog psychologist”, but a used car salesman is a better suitable description of this person. He speaks to people in a way that is very degrading, trying to make others feel as though they are inferior or “below” him. He has no respect and has no ability to have a respectful, adult conversation with others.I could go on and on about his treatment of people, but that would be pointless. Overall the things you need to know before considering Charlie’s Bark Park for your pet is:1. They are highly disorganized (losing items i.e our dogs blanket, calling our clearly male dog a she & forgetting to note things)2. They obviously do not have the staff and resources to handle that many dogs considering we found out our dog was left alone with others on multiple occasions. No matter what, dogs should never be left alone with others…especially in a boarding type situation.3. The owner is rude and disrespectful to pet parents. The way he speaks to people is absolutely insane and I really do hope he treats animals better than he treated us. This is an obvious trend if you look at other reviews.We will NEVER be returning here and do not recommend this place to anyone. I encourage anyone thinking about this place to read the reviews left by others. You will see a pattern in issues related to the Owner.

Great facility. We brought our lab/Pitbull to Charlie’s Bark Park for an evaluation for daycare/group play. Our 1 year old dog lived most of his life in a few different shelters in a few different states. He is s good dog but has a lot of energy to burn. If he passed he would spend days it half days expending his energy. Even though I work at home I can’t give our pup all the energy burn he deserves. Unfortunately he did not pass but Chad told me he didn’t flunk either. He needs us to work on socializing him with dogs. Our dog has hope. Why am I giving 5 stars? Because Chad did not accept our dog just to make money. On the contrary dog he was honest. He believes our dog can “get there” but isn’t there yet. So honesty! Chad carefully evaluates the dogs to make sure every dog has a good and safe experience. I hope we get there and can have our dog at Charlie’s Bark Park soon

Feel very fortunate to have found a place that I can board our dog. The facility is also so very clean. Will not go anywhere else for boarding or day care needs.

Very easy to make an appointment and very friendly staff! Took my rescue dog here to get his nails trimmed today and I was nervous that it would be a traumatic experience for him. Staff member Molli was so sweet and helped calm my nerves. My dog came out happy with perfectly smoothed nails and I couldn’t be happier ! Thank you!

Charlie's Bark Park is a truly awesome place! Chad and Heidi (and staff) are simply amazing!!! My pup Miko loves the place, and so do I. They are extremely knowledgeable. Your dog will have fun. You will learn a lot of if you take lessons. They can also help, well, with any issue your dog might need help with (or you might need to learn about). I recommend them wholeheartedly!!!

I would recommend Charlies to anyone with a dog. The staff is excellent with dogs of all ages and breeds. We use to take our elderly lab and current take our hound mix puppy there. We use them for boarding, grooming, and day care. We also hired Chad to help train us in how to raise a Puppy which was extremely helpful. We have been using Charlies for over a year and have not had one problem, but if we ever do I know Chad, Heidi, or Carla would make sure it was taken care of right away.

We just started going to Charlie's Bark Park for daycare and I am so impressed. I've taken my great dane other places in the past and have always had normal concerns. Chad and the rest of the staff walked me through every step of the process of a new dog coming into daycare and my mind was at ease immediately. They know what they are doing and put importance on the behavior and health of the dogs that attend!

I would highly recommend Charlie's to anyone with a dog. I have been taking my pups there for 4+ years and always know they will be taken care of. Both my pups aren't your docile golden retrievers and Chad and the rest of the staff at Charlie's work on understanding them and taking the best care of them while they are there.

I have taken my dog Jax here ever since he was a small puppy. Jax is an extremely energetic, strong willed dog who can be difficult to handle. From day one, Chad and his team took a detailed interest in helping me train Jax and provide excellent care for him. Jax LOVES coming to Charlie's Bark Park and its the only place I trust with him. I've tried other places that are closer to me (for the short period that the Belleville location did not do boarding), but have not had good experiences so I was thrilled when Charlie's Bark Park did boarding again and gladly drive the extra distance. Thank you to Chad, his wife Heidi, and the whole Bark Park team for always taking good care of Jax.

Simply outstanding. Really. They know me and Oscar and they clearly care. There's a good reason a second shop could be opened. They're just great.I've had dog training at home too and Chad is definitely the dog whisperer. Gre as the help. Oscar was a rescue and might have been again if not for Chad.
