I went to Menards in order to buy shades for my son’s room. Warning, Menard’s does not have the equipment to cut shades to any size, although they claim to have this ability. I gave them measurements and took the shades home. I should have looked at them first but I trusted them. The shades were the correct width but looked like they had been cut with a child’s safety scissors.I called the store and made another trip to Menards because they promised to recut them. This time I checked the shades. The young man cutting them acknowledged that they looked awful and said that they just don’t have the proper equipment to cut shades. After 2 different trips to Menards and talking with 4 different people they tell me I can’t get a refund. They can give me a store credit. I’m not interested in shopping there anymore. Big corporations like Menards and managers like Gary don’t care if they can’t deliver what they’re advertising. If it’s faulty, and the fault is there’s, you’re still out your money. Please shop smarter than I did and go somewhere more reputable than Menards.

Good selection good prices and mostly good hardwood. Its a go to for home repair/improvements just wish the staff had some idea of how to use the tools they sell and store is laid out very strange so finding things means a back and forth hike

We love Menards. So many products and so many helpful employees. Ordering ahead to pick up is the most awesome feature! The procedure is so simple and the employees were so friendly and helpful.

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE!!! Once they leave the store Menards is done. If you have a problem they will only give you the manufacturers 800 number & you will be lucky if they give you the right number! Find an appliance dealer that will stand behind what they sell, it might cost a little more but it is worth it. I bought a Maytag washer that did not work, that was back in July, it has been serviced 4 times, parts replaced twice. It is NOVEMBER and still not working properly. Whirlpool/Maytag still dealing with them. MENARDS won't do anything.

"Menards " I tried to go on their web site to look up some things I am looking to buy and can't access it. I then found out that several other people are having the same problem. This has been an ongoing issue for some time apparently. Don't they monitor it to make sure it is working right?

If I could give negative stars I would, the incompetent workers they have working there screw up the easiest things like measurements and do not know how to do their job DO NOT SHOP HERE!! The general managers DO NOT CARE whether they get your service or not.

The cashier Nicole is the worst person ive ever delt with in my life. i understand equal opportunity for working but if the management is also just as slow maybe they shouldnt be MANAGER. 20 minutes to check out 5 items.

We did laps around the store trying to find a discontinued fireplace and wasn’t able to find it. We came across Jon the assistant manager and asked him for help and he was able to track it down within minutes and had someone come right away with the fork lift to bring it down from the bay! Made my weekend! Thanks for the great service Jon!

I called ahead to see if there would be someone in plumbing to help me out with a large list of items for our new home we are building. Scott answered the call, and let me know when he would be available. When I got there I found him hustling and being awesome. I gave him a large list and apologized that I would be not much help in locating the items. He found everything VERY quickly. Double and tripled checked the list, asked knowledgeable questions to ensure we had the right items. I wish every company could have a Scott. Best customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. I also appreciated the help loading everything at the end. Thanks Scott and Baraboo Menards team!

Horrible customer service. Impossible to find anyone on the sales floor. Customer service tried reaching a rep on the radio for 10 mins before she walked me to the products herself. Also needed a ticket to pick up an item from the yard. Had to wait for the manager to come off break to print the ticket, nobody else knew how since I never received an email. After I got the ticket I had to wait for an older/senior man struggle scanning his ticket. The attendant just kept yelling at the man he's scanning it wrong from her booth. Apparently she couldn't take the two steps to walk over and help him. Wasn't any better service loading up. Absolutely zero help. All the employees acted as if you're bothering or harassing them when you ask for any help or expect them to do their jobs... Worst experience I've had in a retail setting in a long time.. Update, I finally received the emails saying they received my order and it's ready for pickup. Again, poor timing as I picked the order up a day earlier and had since installed it. Poor experience with Menards with every step of the process.

I would give this place no stars if i I could. Terrible help at the building desk. No one that works there is knowledgeable with building. They ordered me the wrong pieces And I still had to pay more shipping for their mess up! The store manager wasn’t even forgiving and took the employees side when they ordered me the wrong tin! Just a terrible place to work with!

Purchased paint for two rooms. Employee was very polite, helpful, and informative. He was able to answer our questions and helped us find the right product that met our needs. Painting section was well organized and well stocked.

Came in recently on a Friday evening to get a replacement for my toiletflapper( which I had in hand). The two young gentlemen in plumbing (sorry didn't catch their names) got the replacement flapper for me. Took it home. Replaced the part. Works Perfectly!!! Thanks from all the "Grandma's"😊

Went to replace a garage door opener. They didn’t have a very good selection everything over $20. Prices online were much cheaper, so before I decided to leave I figured I would ask if they price match Amazon, it was a $3 difference so not a huge savings. The sales person walking around said I needed to go to the back of the store to building materials. Waited in line, was asked if its the same exact item, I said yes and showed the post. The guy told me I needed to go to the front to ask a frontend supervisor. Got to the front and was told no. That was a lot of run around to try and get a $3 savings. Poor customer service. How does your store associates not know your price match policies?!?!? This store has very little customer service. Not friendly either.

Wanted to buy a Mattress and Adjustable base. Talked to Peg and young gentlemen in morning. Came back to show my daughter what I was going to get. Took forever to get credit card, finally got it. Told me I had to go all the way back to get the sku number. What I was told in am was now totally different when I came back 4 hours later. To Deliver 3 blocks away will be $69.99. To haul the mattress in the house is $20.00 and another $20.00 for the base. I was told $15.00 for both. Then if you want them to set it up guess what,another $40.00. Your customer service needs to know what the charges are because I was told differently and what I know about customer service you give them what you say. You lost my business that is for sure and might want to teach your employees about being polite to your customers. Negative remarks will get you no where.

The gentleman who helps with carrying out customer items and collecting carts is a model employee. On his way to clock in I asked if he was currently working because I don't want to bother someone who is on break. He said he wasn't clocked in yet but was willing to help me find what I needed in the store. He clocked in and came straight back to me to assist me in moving a heavier item to the front so I could pay for it. He's a true model employee going above and beyond to help anyone who needs help even when it's not his department. He's very knowledgeable and customer based and is a great representative of your store. More employees should be like him.

Do not go here and pay for your stuff because when you go outside to load it they have already sold it to someone else so you do not get what you want so then when you check out at the guard gate they have to write down what you’re short then you have to go back inside get a refund and then re-order your product so that the next time when you come somebody else will probably be here and get it before you do and it won’t be here when you get back to pick it up. Their policy is first come first serve so just because you buy it and pay for it does it mean it will be out in your yard their yard when you want to pick it up so I would highly recommend and going to Home Depot or Lowe’s probably American do it center at least there when you pay for something it is in there lad and you can take it home with you.

I could spend hours in Menards. They just about have everything you could want. It seems like the employees like their jobs. They are helpful when asked questions. Overall I find Menards a great place to shop for all home goods

They have the most beautiful Christmas section. I can go absolutely crazy with the Christmas stuff. And of course they have lots of other goodies too but with the holidays approaching and the country the way it is it made me have hope again. Loved it.

Store associates are really helpful. Store does make you wear a mask but i do feel a lot safer shopping here because of it. Although everybody has their opinion on the issue. Thank you Menards for providing a safe place to shop.

Horrible customer service. I Spoke with Joe Witt from delivery services today regarding our damaged refrigerator and the luxury vinyl plank flooring that they forgot to bring today!! We paid $150 for delivery, and it was only 24 miles from their store. After YEARS of being a loyal customer & spending thousands of dollars at THIS store, this is not what I expected! I have never posted a complaint before, but it is so agrievating to waste two entire days, waiting for deliveries ( they give you no time frame in which to expect delivery so you potentially have to make yourself available ALL day), in addition to the numerous back forth time calling and sending photos! We are TAKING our Future Business to HD . They ( HD) also honor veterans and military too, with a 10% off purchases. I'd post pictures of the flooring but of course that was forgotten!! So much for starting our flooring today!! I really should just return everything , in addition to the 3K of their merchandise that i just purchased two days ago. Not a happy 😕 customer!! Hmmmm... And tomorrow a call to the BBB!!

I asked for wood dowel finials to go on the dowels I was buying to use as curtain rods. I got told 4 different places to find them. None were correct and one guy said they don't sell them separately they come with it. Since they are not attached I would have to say that he was not correct. I have been in there many times and never been so disappointed by the lack of interest in helping. Not one of them offered to help me find them.

Don’t expect anyone to ask you if you need help here. And when you finally track someone down to ask for help, don’t expect them to be friendly. The person who helped us was clearly very annoyed to have to assist with lifting a few interior doors onto a cart. When we asked him about trim pieces he pointed and said “over there someone else will help you” and just walked away. So we left, without purchasing anything, and went to Home Depot.
