I've been volunteering at JJH for a few months now and am so grateful that a place like this exists! Rachel was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable and I immediately felt at home. And that's how it feels to these sweet dogs who get to live out their lives in comfort and love. I look forward to their expansion someday into offering education around how to keep and properly care for senior animals where possible. My years volunteering in shelters has shown me how unfortunately common it is for people to "throw out" their old dog for a puppy... These dogs deserve better than that and I appreciate how JJH gets it and is doing what they can. Thank you for the courageous work you do everyday and how you do it!!! ❤️

It is so wonderful there is a place for elderly dogs who have lost their human companions to age or illness and have no one willing to love and care for them. Now that we are getting older, the decision to adopt another dog (our 17yo pup passed recently) includes the reality who will care for them if we are unable. Fortunately, both of our children are kind-hearted animal lovers that would take him/her into their home. For now, visiting the pups at Jane's Journey fills the void and warms our hearts.

What a wonderful rescue and exceptional mission. It’s heartbreaking to see elderly pets in shelters no matter the why or how they ended up there. As an animal lover I’m thankful for places like Jane’s Journey Home.

I absolutely love spending time here volunteering with my child. The staff here is so kind and patient with all the seniors and volunteers who grace their doors. While some of the residents stories are sad how they got here, they all now have a loving place to call home.

The sanctuary is beautiful place for dogs approaching the end of life to receive the love & care they need from volunteers with big hearts. It truly is the happy farm where pups can pass in peace & joy.

I highly recommend for people to visit or volunteer at Jane's Journey Home for Dogs. You can just see the wonderful care that the fur babies are getting. Thank you so much for taking care of them!!

Very rude! Her name is Racheal L.I would like to telleveryone what she said to me on the telephone.(I'm not responsible for taking care of your dog!)I can't believe she is an executive for that place. I'm sure the owner is a nice lady. I would not recommend anyone going there with a woman with a bad attitude like Racheal has!!

I cannot say enough how much respect I have for JJH. I know what it is like to raise elder dogs. I had the best time meeting the dogs and talking with the 2 persons who were there when we dropped off two platform beds with beds to fit.

Beautifully renovated barn providing cozy feel for elderly pets in the picturesque Baraboo bluffs near Devil's Lake. Jealous of those dogs, I wish I could stay there.
