Staff gives me a weird vibe, not friendly but not rude, not forthcoming or enthusiastic at all. Just makes me a little eerie when putting my cat in their hands.They did the job but probably going to find a new vet clinic that has friendlier staff that makes me feel more comfortable.

This clinic and the people that work there are outstanding. I don't usually do reviews, but the sincere and kind way Veternarians, Vet techs and staff have treated our dog and us at the end of his life exceeded our expectations. True professionals who also show compassion. Their pricing and cost for care are more than fair. Can't say enough good about our experience here.

One of my dogs got a nasty cut and they got him in right away. They are excellent communicators, VERY friendly, accommodating, and great with our dog when he needed it the most. 100% everything you want in a hometown vet. The parkinglot is small...but you're in and out in a flash. Thank you so much!

Absolutely horrible! My dog was abused as a puppy and is very timid which I explained to the vet before his first wellness check and she seemed to be understanding. My dogs not aggressive in any way and would never bit anyone which the vet had asked and I responses with no, he would never bit. They thought is was a good idea to put my scared dog in to choke hold to do the wellness exam! The vet tech put an arm around his neck and an arm around his stomach and when he got scared she even chocked him a little. Horrible vet!! My last vet would never!! I d not recommended this place one bit. The also never checked his teeth or gums and barley completed a wellness check. Total waste of time and moneyUpdate: Without even calling me to ask how they could help me better. They sent me a letter in the mail telling me to get a new vet and not come back because I wrote this review!! Absolutely terrible!

Always receive a warm friendly greeting. Vet doctor Emily and staff are very empathetic to the animal's wellbeing and are very knowledgeable and capable of giving my animals the best care around.12/20/I9 Had a follow up visit for this naughty little guy to get a booster shot and rabies vaccination. Terrific care once again!

Update 9/5/19:Everyone could not have been more welcoming on this visit. As below, the level of veterinary care was excellent. Had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Emily. She and Kelley introduced themselves then addressed all Munchkin's issues, even those not related to his dental procedure or this appointment's vaccination. Glad to say it was a good experience this time. My pup loves everyone here. Now we both look forward to coming back.Original 4 star Review:Happy with the care my pup recieved and he's doing great so far. The facility was exceptionally nice, as well. For those reasons, I'd go backThe suggestions below are based on my experience at five other vets. They all concern important attention to detail and would make for a better experience:1) Provide more complete written post-op instructions and go over them with client. Questions gladly answered over the phone but shoudnt have to call, especially since you close at 6pm.Examples:> Bandage removed at __:__pm.> Give medication at __:__pm then every __ hours, __ times per day.> Meds can/cannot be taken with food.> Emergency after-hours number or reference to 24 hour care.2) Accurate line-by-line review of procedure and charges. No complaint about the fair price, just would like to know what exactly was done. My friend and I were surprised to see a far more extensive procedure than told when we reviewed the bill at home.3) Ask about scheduling follow-up appointments at check-out or when to drop in for vaccination.4) Would appreciate doctor, nurse, and assistant introducing themselves when first meeting. Also, everyone should address the client and patient by name. Only one person did any of the above on either visit. As nice as everyone was, I felt somewhat anonymous.

Amazing experience. I called everywhere to try to get my sick fur baby to be seen, and this place answered right away and fit me right in, the same day. Amazing reception women, Vet techs, and Dr. Emily was amazing. These ladies were so patient and caring for my kitty. The prices for everything that was done was so reasonable! Will definitely be my place to go from now on.❤️

During past appointments the techs were condescending and were not able to relay the vet's instructions. It took over 45 mins to get a straight answer. If your pet needs something in less then two months they will charge for "emergency" medicine. I recommend going outside of Baraboo entirely for quality pet medicine

The place was clean and employees were friendly and helpful. They have a very nice handicap entrance. They could have better ways to get rid of the animal waste. You have to ask for waste bags and then you pickup your dogs waste you have to walk along ways to throw it away.

I have had 3 different dogs visits Baraboo Valley over the past year during COVID. For vastly different conditions and reasons. We have been clients longer than that but I have to say this clinic has been absolutely phenomenal throughout this pandemic.Though I am not allowed in with my dog- I surely don’t mind! I feel like my dogs must be better when I’m not there, they always tell me they do a great job. When I’m there they likely feed off my own anxiety.The communication between vet/vet staff and myself has been great. I love how caring and compassionate they are. Looking forward to being longtime clients and I am happy to have found such a wonderful clinic- the quality of staff has been amazing since we first started coming- even before the gorgeous renovation!Thank you for caring for our girls, from our now late Maple and Bella, to our current Sadie, Halo and June (who had not been in yet since she came with her shots.)An amazing clinic. ❤️

The people here are professional and friendly. They were able to get me in quickly during a busy holiday season. They examined my dog who had been sick for days and got him the medication he needed. My dog immediately felt better. They called afterwards to make sure he was alright. The price was more than fair too. If I lived here I'd want them as my vet

Most excellent care...my one cat escaped upon arrival...they were more than helpful opting to see our other cat and doing her vaccine and wellness checkup while my son and I searched for the escapee. Fortunately my son found him (whew!) and all ended well!! I highly recommend this Vet Clinic. ( Also highly recommend securing your cat carrier well!!)

Dr. Emily is a lifesaver. While on vacation, our dog got a UTI. She was able to fit us into the schedule and get our girl on the way to better health. She not only treated the UTI, but, also thoroughly examined the rest of her. Another vet in the area turned us away. So appreciative of the help.

Called there on Friday at 1:15 regarding our elderly dog because we thought she as dying and wanted their advice on what to do said they’d call back. I Called back at 5:15 knowing they close at 5:30 front desk stated the doc would be calling me back after all patients were done. NEVER GOT A CALL BACK and we had to take our dog the next morning to the emergency clinic and had to put her to rest. We’ve taken our dog there since she was puppy- she was 12! We did fall behind the last few years with routine check ups but for TEN years we were regular patients and they didn’t have the decency to give us a call back when our dog was dying. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!! Poor customer service!!! :(

I do not live here, but found the BEST veterinary clinic. Very knowledgeable, very sweet, nice and caring. I'm having my 6mo old Shihtuz spayed. She's my baby but wanted to trust someone because we are out of town and won't be back until late July. I was so relaxed and felt as if I'd been going here for years. We had Dr. Emily, love her. Try them out, I believe you will not be disappointed

One year ago today, during a global pandemic I had to say goodbye to my best friend, Tucker. The staff was amazing. They set up a back room for us, let us in the clinic, and gave us time to say goodbye. They will kind and gentle with my buddy but also with our sad hearts.I recently shared that experience with a woman who seemed like she needed to talk. She said that she needed to put her Barrett down and wasn't ready but knew he was. I told them about the amazing staff at BVVC.Today on the anniversary of Tucker's death (a rough day for me), the woman dropped off a thank you card explaining that she had the best treatment from the BVVC staff as well and it made all the difference in one of the worst days of her life.Thank you so much for the love and care you show our family members. Took time to listen and understand my concerns for my pet. Made sure they explained very thoroughly what I needed to do to ensure a quick recovery. Very welcoming staff and always had a smile on there face. Great experience.
