This is my favorite bar, not only because I'm the house DJ here Thu-Sat nights but because the staff is fantastic, the food and service are both excellent, the customers are friendly. I can't say enough. I'm glad to be a part of this wonderful group. I've been a mobile DJ since 1995 and I mean this sincerely when I say this is the best bar I've ever dj'd at from Tucson, AZ to Baltimore, Annapolis and D.C., Polk County, WI, Chisago County, MN, the Twin Cities metro area and everywhere in between.

Meal portions are huge, Friday night fish fry is excellent. Price is a little high but it is in line for the amount of food you get. Waitress is very nice and responsive. The soup is always home made and very very good. Salad bar is pretty fresh. Soup could have been a little hotter, my only issue.

New menus since my last visit and the back DECK. ABSOLUTELY best olive burger around. Everything was great and the staff, she ran like crazy to please everyone. Have to say she was fantastic. Happy and busy made for a great experience for us. The back deck is amazing and we enjoyed our night out. Thanks again to the happy staff and the cook who are knocking it out of the park.THANKS.

Terrible slow service. Was told by the waitress that she was really swamped. We asked bar tender who was not waiting on anyone if she could get our beer, soda and water but she refused. She said it had to go through the waitress…. Our food arrived before drinks again and we asked again. Still waited. Salad/soup bar was below expectations. Soups were both barely warm as was the taco meat. Prices were way out of range for this type of menu. I will definitely go elsewhere.

The staff was nice and the food amazing. I had this garlic burger that has garlic, green olives, and pepperjack cheese on an Angus patty. It was phenomenal!! Will definitely go back!! Like the happy hour drink specials to second drink for a buck! 🤘

Very nice and great food and good service. If you like to gamble a few dollars they have plenty of that also. The only complaint I have is that the workers watch you play the machines and when you walk away they jump on them. I watched one of them play three different machines after people played during her shift.

My son got married at the courthouse, there were about 14 of us, that stopped to have lunch afterwards. The service was amazing. Especially, since it was the bartender and the cook who were the only employees in the place. Plus the bartender had people at the bar. I can't say enough about this place. Definitely one of the best in Balsam Lake.

We had the cheese curds, best we have found. Cowboy bites which were good but not what we expected, we thought they would be more like a fritter. The Jalapeno popper burger was awesome! The kids meals mini corn dogs and fries were larger then the average kids meal and they were good. The waffle fries are good and they have seasoned sour cream, which we haven't found at most places. The place was packed so service was a little slow but not bad, they are under staffed coming off the Covid restrictions. We will go back.

Extent food, my wife and I both had the breakfast skillet and it came out hot, really hot witch is a big bonus for me. And the flavor was perfect couldn't ask for better food and a lot of it.The waitress was real friendly and upbeat just a sweetheart of a person.We will definitely be going back.

Nice place to grab a burger or sandwich. My grandparents devoured their prime rib sandwiches which were pretty large! Their salad bar is awesome! Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there was no changing table in the restroom; a must in my opinion.

Service was a little slow but the staff are definitely friendly! Got a pizza for lunch over the weekend. Also had the deep fried pickles. YOU NEED TO TRY THE FRIED PICKLES. The pickles and the oil that they were fried in is fresh, and the batter is light yet crunchy. Probably the best fried pickles I have had in a long time. And I love fried pickles.

It's clean, and looks like a fairly nice place and the service was not excellent but still okay. But I do find a cheap that when a large birthday party comes in that the bar can't buy the birthday person a drink ? That birthday person brought in a whole bunch of other people on their birthday and chose that bar. If you're too cheap to buy a person a drink on their birthday as a bar owner , how many other Corners did you cut with your cheapest? Life experience has taught me the cheap people do Shady stuff when nobody's looking , it's a testament of their character . Based on that, I believe the place barely deserves the 2 stars. I know this, if you're on a birthday cruise with a group of people, you should choose somewhere else. It's not about the one free drink, but that one free drink for a birthday person tells you a lot but the commitment the owner has to their patrons.

This is the place to go for delicious wings I can say with a fair amount of certainty that they are the best wing around this area. Wait staff is seemingly unaffected by how many patrons are on site and provide personal service even when swamped. Thanks and keep it up. Favorite lunch stop in Balsam Lake.

Awesome Pizza for lunch. Great crunchy thin crust. Great service from the bartender. The bonus was the 6 pull tab boxes. Highly recommend to visit. I will be back.

We ordered the prime rib and chicken and ribs special. When the food came, everything but the chicken was cold. The prime rib, the green beans, the ribs, the French fries, and the baked potato. The baked potato was also burned on the bottom. Since the waitress did not come back to check on us, we walked the food back into the restaurant to the kitchen. They stuck their finger in the food and agreed it was cold. They were fairly quick to bring out a new prime rib. This time it was warmish. We continued to wait for the ribs and a new baked potato. In the meantime some other patrons were asking about our prime rib. We told them not to bother and to stick to the burgers. When the waitress finally came back, she asked if there was anything else we needed. We informed her we were still waiting for the ribs and the baked potato. She was shocked and didn't have a clue what we were talking about. The ribs finally came, and they were hot this time. The potato was also hot, but again, burned on the bottom. I had barely started to eat the ribs when the manager came out, smoking a cigarette, and told us that we were rude to the waitress and she did not like us telling the other patrons about our food. We were told to pack up, pay, and leave immediately. At no point were we ever rude, did we raise our voice to the waitress, or say anything mean or negative to her. In fact, we told the manager they could talk to the other patrons sitting close to our table to verify that. Instead, she insisted we leave because she didn't like us criticizing the food. When paying $57 for the food, I would have expected some quality to come with that price tag. Instead of getting an apology for the cold and subpar food and the slow service, we were told to leave. I am in shock and disbelief. I can't believe they even expected us to pay for the food, let alone told us to leave immediately and pay. We will never ever patronize that establishment again.

Docs staff always goes above and beyond for their customers. Amazing service, great food, and even better atmosphere. I’d visit this place every single day if I could. You won’t find another bar that has the same affect as this bar. Hands down favorite bar/eatery. 10/10.

Actually I'd only give this place a zero Stars the bartender the blond one is always so rude and never asks us what we need or anything ! Helps everybody else that comes in definitely will not go here ever again cuz she's like that every time! If you ain't their normal common customers you ain't wanted !

I was very impressed with the French dip. The bread was light and the meat was simple and well flavoured. Our waitress was friendly, but not overly talkative. I only wish that the fries had not been crinkle cut.

This establishment is a disgrace. My father recommended this place so he, his lady, and my family ate here after helping raise money for the local Fire Department. We sat down and ordered just as any individual in a restaurant would do. Food arrived for everyone else at the table expect my family's. It then didn't arrive for another 45 minutes after the other food was served. They profusely apologized for their error. Given the situation, reimbursement on my family's meals was offered. I wasn't entirely captivated by their proposition, so I approached the bartender to further discuss what could be done to compensate their mistake and was promptly met with "Get out of here" and "If you don't leave I'll call the cops" which was absolutely baffling. I tried reasoning with the individual to no avail. No more than 5 minutes later the cops arrived and arrested no one.At the time the manager wasn't on the premises so I waited to talk to him over the phone. I just finished that conversation which held a lot of phrases like "bud", "man", "I don't know what to tell you" and, "well i can offer you, like, xx dollars if you come in".All in all if you enjoy being treated like an idiot and not eating your meal with the rest of your party I highly recommend this place. If not, I would forgo the experience.
