We stayed during the quiet season (end of April) and loved how quiet it was around the grounds. At our check-in Andrew spent 15 minutes giving us a great description of places to visit and sites to see (very helpful as we were hadn't done a great deal of prep for this trip). We received an upgraded room (there was an issue with the one we reserved). The jacuzzi tub was fabulous, the fireplace very nice and for us, the beds were great (we discovered we sleep better on a softer bed). For the price, we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations.

The motel section is NOT worthy of Door County, especially for the price I paid. Uncomfortable furniture, scary bathroom, TV gets 5 channels (not that I spent enough time in the room for that to matter) and Wi-Fi barely works. When I turned the shower on, black water came out at first!! The place is very dated and I think the owners just don't care. The website says Bailey's Harbor is a short stroll away - which is true, but the first mile or so is in the highway, not sidewalk. I don't consider that safe.Overall, very disappointed. I can't recommend the place.

Hate to write these types of reviews, but the lack of cleanliness alone warrants the 2 star rating. My husband and I stayed in the guest house and when we arrived late at night went straight to bed. When we laid down we found a vape pen in the sheets. The next morning we let the manager on duty know and he apologized but no solution on new sheets, etc. was offered. Additionally, there is no deadbolt on the door. For the price we paid for three nights there was an expectation that was not met.

Very outdated and just dirty! NOT worth the money!!!! The air conditioner is broken, the light switches don't work, the light in the bathroom is a strobelight, it smells like smoke and dog, the bed sheets are yellowed, the tile is broken in the "kitchen", the walls are dented and chunks of paint are missing, the TV is from the 1900's and the door locks are not very secure! I definitely do not recommend it.Rooms: Don't do it! Not worth the money!

Old and outdated. We stayed in the main building. Had a 2 queen room with fireplace. Most everything was broken or didn't work. Tried to plug in our phone charger and it just fell out of the socket. The sliding glass door would not lock. The screen was busted out so we couldn't leave the slidingdoor open to enjoy the cool air. The ac would not cycle like it should so you would have to trun it on then let it cool off the turn it off. Then repeat. One day we didn't have hot water. The room smelt like mildew. Only had a shower no tub. The shower leaked water on the floor. Bout the only thing going for this place was the good location. Staff was friendly.

It would have been nice except for the air conditioning filter was coated with dirt and dust and didn't blow cold. But I cleaned it and it worked ok. There was no internet, and I had to do some computer work and bad cell service, which was marginal. And the room smelled like wet dogs.

Excellent find! We lucked out with this one. Clean and well kept exterior/grounds. Exterior even boasts private little patios with chairs/grill...and a trickling creek! Also has a common area fire pit w/ free wood and seating. Gorgeous and simple...feels like home! Inside is a bit more dated but I didn't feel the need to clean anything before moving in...that is huge for me! (Normally rooms feel ick to me.) Family owned with owners on site socializing and making sure all is great! Comfortable CLEAN beds with plenty of room for 4 adults and a great counter area w/ fridge/micro/coffee pot/cupboards. Just a stones throw from downtown....can't beat this one!

First and last stay here! I’ve never experienced such filth In my life, and this is supposed to be a hotel.We had a deluxe queen room, the whirlpool had visible filth, smears, etc on the tub walls, and no towels as pictured. Turning on the water and letting it fill to the jets, yielded brown gritty bubbles.All of the linens including the two bath towels, two hand towels and the two wash clothes were stained. The sign says for fresh towels, you should place all used towels outside your room. Despite the fact we had done so by 5am the first morning, and had another evening booked, fresh towels were never left. We did not ask for replacement towels because they probably would not have been clean anyways. We’re grateful we’re heavy packers and were able to utilize our own clothing so we could feel somewhat clean after showering. I could continue, but I think you get the idea. If you don’t mind filth, stay here, the nature piece of it is lovely. Otherwise avoid at all costs!!!Multiple colored stains on every towel?!? Come on. Bleach is incredibly inexpensive!!

Truly a disappointment. The video made it seem like an unassuming alternative. It was a tired location. We stayed in the guest house which we wanted to find an alternative to immediately but most places were booked completely being in the high season. This experience was the low point of our Door County vacation. I would recommend the facility to stop booking people in that house. The money we spent was simply not worth the experience of dirty room vents, cigarette smoke odor in the entrance, a door to the house that would not shut, and peeling paint in the rooms by the air conditioner. Simply put, I heartily do not recommend this place. I am truly sorry. Good thing you don't stay in your room much when in Door County.

We were very disappointed with our room. We had room #5. The lights by the bed we're missing a bulb and the other bulb wasn't the right size and it wiggled in the socket. The light in the bathroom was also missing a light bulb. The bed felt like it was 15-20 years old and felt like we were laying on springs. The bathroom had hair on the floor and in a drawer. The wall unit for the heat and air had filth on it and the vent in the bathroom had dust on it...a lot. The room stunk like musty wet carpet. The air had to be on to help but it still smelled bad in the room. The manager was nice to us when we told him we couldn't stay there the other two nights we booked. We didn't get any refund due to signing and paying before we saw the room. Big mistake. Will not stay here ever again. We were very happy to get a room in Egg Harbor.

Room dark, dingy and grubby. Not really clean. No updating, nothing but bare bones. Bathroom smelled like urine. Stains in sink and shower from iron in the water which hadn't been attended to. We asked for a refund. Were told before we left, however, no response. We spoke with owners son. Very nice young man, but no response. Best thing about the place was they take dogs.

We arrived to our room... to find the heater for the room was broken. The gentleman on staff that evening did his best to help alleviate the situation, and give us extra blankets etc... But we were told that someone would be by the next morning to fix the heater... which did not happen. I would have been able to look past the other quirks / less than stellar features of the room and enjoyed our stay... but the fact that was not made right and was just shrugged off with a "Meh, sorry about that" and was still charged full price compelled me enough to write a negative review. Will not be staying here again nor would I recommend it.

We stayed in The Loft, which is not necessarily designed for privacy... The building had an awful weird smell, the lady at the desk said it was because the building was 100 years old and built on marsh and wasn't much help to get it removed. The tvs are standard dated cable, but they have a DVD player. However their DVD selection is dated and there isn't any place to rent a dvd. The loft in the loft, had curtains that covered the perimeter, but any movement in the beds upstairs, is really loud in the bedroom downstairs. The pullout couch was stained. The master bedroom had no door, just a very short lace curtain... and it was right next to the bathroom, which the door to it (the only door inside) doesn't close all the way, it's always ajar. The shower is suuuuuuper small. I'm a small person and I was very uncomfortable trying to fit. Definitely not built for anyone hefty. The water from the shower and sink smelled dirty. The male grounds keeper was very nice. Aside from the smell and the small shower, it's a cool place to stay IF you don't care that their is very little privacy.

As others have said, this is a place that is a good value for a reasonable price. We stayed here for several days with our 2 little dogs (it's very pet friendly, another bonus!) and found it to be very clean, well kept and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location is great. Nobody said this was going to be a 5 star luxury hotel...it's a nice clean place that won't tax your wallet like so many places in Door County. And they like dogs! :)

Great price and super clean. The room had vaulted ceilings which was very nice. The gas fireplace also add great ambience to the room. Bathroom was very small, but functioned well. Would highly recommend!

This was one of the most disgusting places I've ever stayed at! Walked in, thinking it was going to be a really nice place. After all, we paid $187 per night, so thought it was going to be a pretty nice place. The place reaked of stale cigarettes and mold. Everything was old and run down. The bathroom toilet was just about ready to come out of the floor. The shower curtin rod was cracked, as was the handle to turn on the water. The TV didn't have a clear picture. The beds were hard as a rock. Think we could have slept on the floor and had a better nights sleep, although I would have never slept on the floor. The carpet was stained and dirty. I was clearly very DISAPPOINTED in the whole place. I would never recommend this place to anyone. VERY disappointed.

We stayed in the motel and it was a good value for the price. Our room had a nice view of the woods. The staff were very welcoming of our dog and even gave us a list of dog friendly restaurants in the area! Beds are pretty comfortable.

Such a cute place. Very clean and quiet!!! Close proximity to all the towns. Ethan the night manager is so friendly and helpful!!! We rented a one room cabin and it was perfect for our needs. We will be back again in a heartbeat!!!

Rooms were very spacious and clean. The place was a little outdated but honestly that didn't matter. The fireplace was a nice touch, Wi-Fi worked well, hot showers, etc. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Roadside place surrounded by forest so it is calm and relaxing at the same time... Small creek crosses the place, very beautiful. Friendly and helpful host. Place is a good "base camp" to explore peninsula. May recommend to everyone and will come again

Key would not work in the door. Personnel left property and no one around to assist and it's 930 pm. A mouse hanging around the Coke machine outside of office. Cob webs, dirty walls, stairs, and deck outside of rooms. The whole place needs to be swept and hosed down. Decided not to stay and continue driving that night. Did not refund my entire charge though I never checked into the room.

Worst waste of money in town. Beds were comftorable and that sums up to good. Parking is horrible, DID NOT HAVE HOT WATER. Payed $140 a night water took 10 min to get hot the first night, second night none at all. Emailed as soon as we left and no response. Forgot about it till my credit card statement showed up, pissed me off enough to call and see why they hadn't responded. Then told me because I hadn't said anything during our stay there was nothing they could do. We fish from 330am till dark, sorry we didn't want to wake you. Tv was smaller than most computer monitors and grainy. My advise is find another hotel, can't be any worse.
