Excellent! Both the Whitefish Chowder and the Lobster Bisque were so good! The best Lobster Bisque we've ever had... even better than what we've had visiting the east coast! Everything else was cooked to perfection and presentation was beautiful. Service was very good...we didn't feel rushed at all, keeping in mind it's the off season. The ambiance very nice. All in all, it made for nice relaxing evening!

Right on Lake Michigan in the middle of Bailey's Harbor is this grown-up yet kid friendly offering with a well balanced menu. Loving Wisconsin's drink, the Old Fashioned, I had to try their seasonal specialty made with Pumpkin Whiskey. Normally I only like pumpkin in my pies but this was a delightful drink. The friendly and efficient staff made our choice just that much better. After lunch we took the short walk to see the lake and then headed out to see the rest of this little town.

We enjoyed our evening here. All workers were very pleasant, professional, and prompt. The views and atmosphere were peaceful. Started with Shrimp Cocktail. Scallops for my wife, Filet for me, were all served perfect for us. Loved the mashed potatoes and asparagus. Ordered a side of Brussel Sprouts with Bacon, OMG!Key lime pie as always for dessert.

Nice view, good food and good service. I’ve been here several times and it is consistent. This time I tried the Mediterranean Ravioli with shrimp. It was kind of like a veggie stuffing inside. The romesco sauce was really good. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and tender. We also had the calamari which was tender, lightly breaded and the topping was fantastic, different than the usual sauce. Highly recommend.

My husband and I dined at the Harbor Fish Market & Grille on October 14th, 2023 to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. When we arrived, we were led to our table promptly, even though we were early for our reservation. Our kind server, Kayla, immediately took our drink orders and started us with some warm bread and butter. We enjoyed it while sipping on our drinks and looking at the menu. The menu was large, but not overwhelming. We each ordered our food. We ordered crab cakes and lobster bisque as an appetizer. I ordered the scallops with sweet potato & brussels sprout hash. My husband ordered the ribeye with Korean barbecue brussels sprouts and potatoes au gratin. We also ordered a side of brown butter sage gnocchi. We were served our meals approximately 10-15 minutes after we ordered. It didn’t feel like we were waiting a while. Although it did give me some time to look at the decor. It was a little outdated, but it did not detract from the overall relaxing atmosphere. We were served the lobster bisque first. It was mediocre at best. It was under salted and needed some heat. We used the salt and pepper provided on the table, which we were very disappointed in. The pepper must have been at least a year old because it was tasteless. The servers should bring a pepper mill to the table and ask the patrons if they would like freshly cracked pepper on their dishes. The salt on the table was obviously iodized salt, which is a culinary nightmare unless you want your guests’ food to taste like a penny. It’s tacky to put salt on the table in a fine dining establishment in the first place (because you should expect your food to be adequately salted), and even worse to assault your guests’ tastebuds with the McDonald’s equivalent of salt at a fancy restaurant. When we got our meals, I asked about our appetizer that we ordered (the crab cakes). Our server said she forgot them, but apologized and made it right by offering us a free dessert. I took her up on it and we skipped the crab cakes. When I looked at my plate of food, it was beautifully plated, however it seemed a little overkill. There was caviar atop my scallops, sweet potato and brussel hash, a few grilled carrots, and some sauce. It was much too busy. I tried the scallops first, without the caviar. To my surprise, the scallops were slightly undercooked and tasted fishy. I only ate one of the five I was served. The brussels sprout and sweet potato hash was bland and, like everything else I had eaten thus far, needed salt. The grilled carrots were my favorite thing on the plate. Now for my husband’s meal. He said the ribeye was cooked nicely and he enjoyed it. The brussels sprouts could have used less sauce, as they were swimming in it. However, the flavor was excellent. The au gratin potatoes were not his favorite, the potatoes were cubed, which is not how au gratin potatoes are supposed to be made. They should have been scalloped. The brown butter sage gnocchi was enjoyed by both of us equally and we had no complaints about it.For our free dessert, we chose the cherry bread pudding. I have a huge sweet tooth, so my hopes were high, but I was let down again. There were maybe 3 cherries in the whole slice and it was not flavorful. All in all, spending $140 before tip made us extremely disappointed. We will not be back.

I cannot overstate what an exceptional experience we had here. The drinks were phenomenal and so was the food! When you come here you will feel like you’re being pampered with the most amazing cuisine by a phenomenal wait staff. The vibe is refined but casual at the same time. Harbor is welcoming to all walks of life and as you walk up to the restaurant you can’t but help to notice the pride flag boldly on display. So would I recommend this place? Absolutely, we drove three hours just to get there and I can’t wait to do it again soon!

The food was delicious, the service was good and the atmosphere nice and relaxing. Only you need to make a reservation before you go, otherwise the waiting time might be up to an hour. Beautiful garden and lake view.

The overall the experience was great! We had had excellent seafood, including the surf and turf, Calamari, Lobster Bisque, and the Friday Night Fish Fry [featured in photo]. Our party of six was seated indoors at the back window that over looks the view out to the lake and man was it an absolutely stunning view.My only negative was it seemed the waitress didn't like us. We were a "younger-aged" group and she just seemed to be very short with us. Could have been an off night for her, but it was noticeable.

Amazing evening. Sit outside if you can. The smell Of the wood fire and lake view will make it a special evening. Lobster roll and pork porterhouse were very good and the brussel sprouts with the porterhouse are the best we’ve ever had.

Good lake view. Good service. I think they are trying to be more upscale than they can really pull off. They need to learn how to properly wash a table. Smearing it with windex does not sanitize and leaves a gross film. The rolls we were served were so sad and probably from the freezer. The walleye was not bad. The dish had a supper club vibe, not really a pro for me, but overall it was enjoyable. Our server did a great job helping us decide which fish to get even though she was worn out at the end of a long day.

The location looks great. The outdoors seating is about 50 yards from the shore. They have a "Diner" sign at the front but this is not a Diner. Prices are too high for the food and quality of food. The sea bass was delicious, served with asparagus and sprouts but pricey. The prime rib indeed was a terrible dish. ordered it well done and received it rare. Waiter took it back but it came back medium well. We left and opinion card filled which was given to us. We received a call from the manager but they did not take our comments as important and made to feel that we knew nothing about food. Not a productive conversation if opinions are taken personally. We have taste buds and know how to enjoy a good meal. On a lighter note, waits staff was excellent.

Nice place to eat and enjoy the view of the lake in Baileys Harbor. A bit pricey, which is to be expected given its touristy location. But the food is decent and outdoor space is quite inviting. One thing to remember when ordering old fashioned - they use brandy in WI, unless you specifically ask for bourbon. What can I say? I am a FIB.

Star ratings. 1 bad. 2 below average. 3 average / neutral. 4 good. 5 excellent.Good food. Several items on the menu I'd like to come back and try. Wife and I both had the lobster. Both kids had the shrimp. (Apox $200 with drinks). Nice outdoor area. Cherry mojitos are good.Update. New owners visited again. Still great food. Can't go wrong good for the whole family. Variety of options.

Great view, delicious food, friendly service and dog friendly! We came here because they have an actual dog menu, we got our dog the burger with kibble. We enjoyed the lobster boil which is boiled basically right outside infront of us. It was amazing! The lobster boil is a 3 course meal with lobster bisque, lobster boiled with clams, muscles, potatoes, and corn, then to top it off you get cherry bread pudding which was to die for!

Food was good, not great; so I was disappointed. We went for lunch. I was disappointed that you couldn’t order grilled fish after all it’s called fish market and grill. The fish sandwiches are all breaded and deep fried. I ended up getting Maui Maui tacos which were grilled but I felt were kind of dry and not all that tasty. My husband got the Rachel which he enjoyed. The view and atmosphere too I thought would be nicer being near the water. But you aren’t that close and I felt the cheap chairs lined up near the water cheapened the view. So all in all, it was okay but just not what I was expecting for a fish restaurant near the water.

Although the food was excellent and the service was acceptable, being seated in the middle of a gravel parking lot was unacceptable. Made reservations two weeks in advance, noting it was our first visit for my wife's birthday. I'd say they are more concerned about you showing up for your reservation that your actual experience while you're there. We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation and were promptly escorted to the hotest, in the sun table in a gravel parking lot even though all the tables were open except one. Not the "Door County" experience I was hoping for. Too many great choices in "The Door" to consider returning.

Was seated immediately at time of reservation. Service was excellent. Lobster bisque was a bit creamier than we're used to. We added pepper to help the taste. The amount of lobster was finely chopped. Shrimp dish was tasty, but my spouse's whitefish was again, underseasoned. Loud atmosphere made it difficult to carry a conversation without yelling.

Best lobster mac n cheese. Seriously should've ordered two. It was so good I forgot about my drink. My wife ordered a sandwich which was terrific and her fries were really good as well. Nice bar area, outdoor seating area, wonderful views of the harbor.

Lobster boil 4x a week. Door County must get preferential delivery of giant Live Lobsters. Good wine list, caring servers. Crackers and small forks provided but I missed the picks. Inside dining tables socially distanced but room was extremely hot 🔥. Open the doors and put the fans on high please. Food is excellent.

First time here. Was staying in baileys harbor so we settled here cuz it was our anniversary. I ordered the surf and turf cuz I thought it sounded decent and only $52. My hubby got the lobster roll and daughter got lobster Mac. The lobster tail I got was really good. Potatoes ok and asparagus was only 3-4 sprigs. Filet had no seasoning and tasted like a cheaper cut. Good steak should not have an after taste. Also asked for med well and you can see it’s charred. I had to get steak sauce which if anyone knows a only good if the steak is not the greatest. My hubby was semi impressed with the lobster roll. Daughter liked the Mac and cheese. Then I get the bill and the surf and turf is really $75! Both me and my daughter read the menu and swore it said 75. That meal was NOT worth 75. The menu items are so squished together that I thought it said 52. Anyway you can get a whole lobster boil, potatoes, corn, chowder and dessert and a whole lobster for cheaper!
