While we've had good experiences the few times we've used this place in the past, our experience last week made sure that we would never do business with them again.I was returning from shoulder surgery in Duluth when we stop by to pick up our dogs. Blue ribbon allowed the roadway to the kennels to be blocked so we had to drag the dogs cages 60 yards across the parking lot right next to a busy freeway. I asked the employee for help loading the dogs and her response was "I WON'T help you load your dogs."By the time we got our dogs loaded they were terrified and I reinjured my shoulder. Through all of this blue ribbons employee was unhelpful to the point of being antagonisticAfter seeing the attitude of their employee, I would not trust my dogs to this place. I don't know if my dog suffered abuse their, other than what happened when we picked them up, but I'll never give this place a chance again. If you love your dogs you might want to look at them too.

Jodi and Lauren are fabulous with my 2yr old chocolate lab. He came home clean and smelling good and most of his loose hair was gone. I love them❤️❤️❤️‼️

I have NO idea why I didn’t do this sooner… this place is FAB. I truly recommend it. My dog comes out happy and pristine. They take great care of their clients and have a lot of valuable advice. Their selection of stuff is limited but HIGH quality - the stuff you actually want. Go ahead and book your appointment for your furbaby - they’re worth it.

My dog Roux just got a great warm-weather haircut at Blue Ribbon. He is a long-haired Aussie Shepherd/Louisiana Leopard Dog cross and now his spots are showing and he is feeling cool.

It has been sometime since I had a dog groomed here.However when I did the service was above and beyond.Jody does an excellent job.They also sell pet food and pet supplies and have a pet boarding facility.I very highly recommend if you have to take your dog for boarding this is the place to go I have been inside the facility and have seen the conditions and have seen the treatment of the animals and highly recommend this place.I also would recommend their dog foods that they sell due to that they will not sell anything that is not good for your animal.The owners are very picky about that.At one time I had a cocker spaniel that had chronic ear infections and chronic hotspots and was told by Jody that it is probably caused by the food he is eating.She recommended I switch to a better food and told me if I could not afford what she sold where I could get something more affordable.I switched to making my own dog food for a period and then started buying canaday dog food and my dogs chronic ear infections and hot spots disappeared.I also highly recommend the grooming service due to that it is a full service and how nicely your fur baby will be treated.They do everything grooming draining of anal glands clipping of claws bathing and probably a few things I don't know about.Along with Jody's knowledge of animal Care and pet training make her a great asset when you need advice.I very highly recommend this place

The groomer was awesome. She said she was all booked up and was still able to fit two dachshunds in the very next day and it was even after closing. She did an incredible job with both dogs and the cost for each of the dogs was very reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend, and we will definitely be back.

Jody and her staff are wonderful and do an excellent job. They go out of their way to help and take such good care of the pets in their care. The ability to leave your pet with them to be groomed or boarded knowing your furry family member will be treated kindly, and will be happy and well cared for when you return is priceless! Jody has been able to blow out and groom my great pyrenees when all others have failed, and is very skilled with her trims. And if you have ever tried to groom a wiggly pet with a clippers you know how hard it is and how much skill that takes!

Our dog Josie has terrible separation anxiety and this place makes her forget all about it. For being part lab, you'd think she'd be in heaven having a bath but it always takes both my husband and I to get her and keep her in the tub. I was worried about her first professional grooming so asked to stay. The staff was great about it! They took such great care of her. We will definitely be back.

My small dog is going in tomorrow. We're from out of town. I'm so happy they can get him in. The price is higher than where I'm from. But, then again EVERYTHING is more expensive up here. I just wanted to say that I read the reviews and I want to point out there are 3 bad reviews for the same cat. That is not fair to the owner and staff and it is not nice. So, plz people, take that as a grain of salt. Be blessed. 😊

I looked at the reviews on google, and they were all good. So, I brought my LONG haired cat to get trimmed. They asked multiple times if I wanted her shaved. I stated numerous times that I just wanted her trimmed up. When I went to pick her up, she was utterly BALD. When we got home, she was so embarrassed and didn't know what to do with herself. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone that wants their animal to look good. It's so sad to see her so uncomfortable, and no cat should have to go through that.

I love the place I e never boarded any of my pets till a few years ago and now Blue Ribbon is the only place I would I e kept my dog there several times and they are always great to my dog shadow and us. I totally recommend them. Thanks again

Jody has been grooming my little fur baby for 14 years and has done a phenomenal job! Jody is the ONLY one that can even get close to my 8 lbs fur ball with sharp scissors without needing at least 3 people to hold her still. This became even more evident just a few days ago when my dog had a very difficult grooming situation (thank you quarantine and the extreme length between groomings). I dropped off an extremely shaggy matte filled dog and Jody worked her magic and when I picked her up....I was astonished with what Jody was able to do! She was able to remove all of the super tough matted fur...even the most difficult on that was right near her eye! I was sooooo impressed! I recommend Blue Ribbon 1000%!

Blue Ribbon Kennels is an amazing place for many reasons, one for you to take your dogs while you're at work for doggie day care so you know your pups aren't getting into trouble at home, also I love that they have a wide variety of dogs foods and cat foods to choose from, along with flea and tick treatments for the seasons ahead! My dogs love to go and spend time with the staff at Blue Ribbon kennels and always come home smelling nice and clean when they get groomed! I'd highly suggest them over anyone else :)

The prices are a little higher than what I'm used to. We did come from a completely different area, so I may be a bit spoiled on price. However, they did excellent work. I have a very large husky/Akita mix and he came back absolutely beautiful. The price is probably spot on for his size, but like I said, I could be spoiled. I do recommend this groomer! My dog is very much a mommas boy and he seemed very comfortable there. He usually goes crazy when I pick him up and he was calm. Could be bc I didn't have to leave him all day. For such a large dog, they were fairly quick.

We have used Blue Ribbon for about 10 years now for two of our dogs. Baylee especially loves going to day care to play. It’s nice to be able to trust someone with your dogs when you can’t be with them. They also have a nice selection of treats, food and supplies. The hours are convenient as well.

My moms 1st visit here with her yorkie. She did a pretty good job on her..i personally loved the cut, but 50$ to trim up a dog n bathe her..lets remember this is a 4lb dog, seems abit much..my mom assured me it is not..

We brought our cat in to get a bath and her long hair trimmed. We picked her up three hours later and she is totally bald. I am not OK with this!! My poor cat is uncomfortable and embarrassed. When my husband called them they said sorry it was just miscommunication and it will grow back. I recommend you do not bring your pets here!

We took Coco in for the first time requested about 1/2 to 3/4 length of hair be removed as she had gotten very scrappy looking with the whole staying at home thing going on. Yes, she had one spot under her collar that was a little matted along with an ear, however, I was assured that it would be no problem.I was very displeased with the result of the cut. She has a shave down to less than 1/4 of an inch of hair that looks hacked, there are gashes everywhere. Her head and face left long. Will not be returning, nor will not recommend.

Blue Ribbon Grooming is the only place I take my dogs to for their grooming needs, for as long as I've had dogs; and also buy their food from. I took my shaggy collie here on a Saturday for the first time- I was greeted with friendly staff- and assumed my dog would be in good hands- staff told me come back in 3 hours. I drive 45 mins in 3 hours to pick him up- right when I get there they say it’s going to be an additional 1.5 hours. (Thinking they would have called). The look didn’t matter much to me as long as he was comfortable- he could barely walk when he came out- he had zero breaks during the groom- he was extremely thirsty and lethargic. I wish they would have called me to tell me my dog was not going to be done at the correct time.

It was really nice that they have an after hours pickup option, but my dog was able to escape from his enclosure into the back room, so I could not find him when I arrived to pick him up and eventually had to basically crawl in to see where he was.
