The Dog House is the best place for dog boarding and daycare in the Appleton area. (This is the third place we have tried.) The staff is so friendly and truly care about the dogs. They are well organized with a great system and offer a variety of services and products. The communication about how your pet is doing is great. I was a bit nervous leaving my precious dog and they respected my hesitation, put me at ease, put up with all my questions and the occasional phone call to check-in. We are already booked at the Dog House for our next travel plans. We have a 12 year old Chocolate Lab.

The Dog House you should be ashamed of your care for animals. I have never been more disappointed in a business and disgusted in someone that claims to specialize in the care of dogs. Care. Ha. I dropped my dog off with you to expect he would be cared for. When in fact it was the furthest thing from care. There is absolutely no good reason why when I pick up my dog you tell me he is covered in feces and he was too timid for you to do anything about it. The biggest crock of bull I have ever heard. Then you further go on to tell me at pick up that not only was there feces in his kennel during his stay but you claim he spilled his water and it mixed with the feces and he was standing in “a swamp” and again didn’t do anything about it. First, that dog is OBSESSED with water. I doubt he tipped it, and if he did he would have licked it up. I do however wager based on his awful smell that what caused the “swamp” as you can call it was piss, mixed with the feces. He came out soaked and had poop all over his hind quarters. I was then told he will most definitely need to be in the pick up part of the truck vs in the cab due to his condition. I’m so angry at the straight up neglect and actual animal abuse my dog faced! You had THREE emergency contact numbers you could have called any one of us if he was THAT distraught and any one of us would have dropped anything to make sure he was picked up. What you left him in is deplorable. I couldn’t even greet and love on my dog when he came out because when I touched him he was soaked. I paid the full amount and I left without a scene because you had a line of people waiting to get their babies. I only hope you did better for them. I left your establishment and drove directly to the dog wash, because unlike you and your employees, I realize no dog deserves that and I will take care of it.I will never recommend your business to anyone. If I hear of someone wanting to take their dog to your establishment I will share my experience. I will always advocate for these animals who can not speak for themselves. If he could talk he would have asked you to just pick up the phone and call one of us. But you ignored that. Shame on you.I feel guilty for leaving our loved one in your neglectful hands. Whoever worked this weekend should not be in this industry and you should be ashamed of your business. Do better. These helpless beings deserve better.

I love this place! There's a great selection on toys and food, and the dog treats and doggy froyo are adorable and fair-priced. We took our dog, Harley, and she loved the froyo and the pool. The staff is friendly and it is easy to get in and out quickly.

My pup has been going to The Dog House for almost two years and he LOVES it! He's extremely fearful of people and they've been so incredibly patient & accommodating to his challenges. Now, he has so many more people in his small circle that he trusts and ADORES thanks to their wonderful care over the past two years! Thank you so much for always taking great care of my sweet boy!

It was SOOOO fun seeing all the dogs learning trick and just being so happy. The store there was wonderful too and the things i looked at from there are well sourced with good ingredients. I recommend this place, as this place is also where many wonderful pets who need homes can be adopted. I just got my bunny Juniper there 1 week ago today and shes settling in well, already completely potty trained and everything. They do a good job at keeping it clean, and I recommend this place to anyone who need a loving and responsible pet sitter and trainer.

Took Bear a week before we left for vacation. He had fun and when I brought him back for boarding I was not worried that he would have fun. When I came to pick him up he was outside playing with friends. I watched for a few minutes and he was having so much fun. He slept most of the rest of the day. I will definitely be bringing him back for play dates!!!

My 11 month old Pomeranian Nikky can't wait to get there to play. He seems to know that every Monday he gets a whole day of playing with his friends. I highly recommend that you bring your doggies to play there. Very well organized and clean.

My dog was boarded over Christmas time. When I picked up and paid for services they handed the leash over and my dog had a hole in her side. No one knows what happened or even when it happened or so they say. Went straight to the ER, 10 stitches and 10 staples later she is doing fine now. Owner said he reviewed footage but still can only guess what happened. He takes no responsibility and compared it to children running with scissors or a kid breaking their arm at school. If you love your animal please don't trust them.

My dog had a blast here! The prices are super affordable (his other daycare charges $30 for a full day and $19 for a half day) and they didn't charge for a temp test (his other daycare charged $10). The staff was super friendly and the report cards were honest and adorable (if my dog had issues I'd want them to be honest). Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

They do a nice job of nail clipping. We also brought our dog for a daycare try out they're great with her. This is a good place.

My puppy Aruba loves going to daycare twice a week to play with her friends and to burn energy off for mommy and daddy! The staff is always so good with her and happy to see her. It makes me know she is in good hands. I love the shared photos on Facebook and the daily report cards. I will continue to bring my baby girl there!

I see a few negative reviews, but I've personally not had one in the past 2 years I've been taking my pupper there. My dog gets incredibly excited anytime she hears the voice of any of the girls who take our call for doggy day care. We've left her there for trips and have never been disappointed.ALSO, we recently started buying her wet food there and treats, as we are all about holistic food (no grains) and no raw hide. They have an awesome selection, and the owners are really friendly. I love coming here and the staff seem very happy to see my dog (since she gets some dogs to play that never do!)

I board my cat here and while cat boarding is inherently different than boarding a dog, she is safe, gets fed on time and has some exercise time. I can relax knowing she is in good hands.

I have bringing our Sadie Me here for 1 1/2 yrs. The employees were patient and understanding thru her separation anxiety and her fear of strangers. They continue to be patient with her when a new car giver comes in and will share their excitement of over coming a fear. I absolutely love this place. The employees are very compassionate about dogs and their health.

We take our dog here whenever we need to (or for a little treat for her). It’s a great way for her to interact with other people and other pups. The staff are all very friendly, and you can tell there are enough staff members to actually care for and watch the dogs. They also give you “report cards” everyday!! They also gave us a welcome bag after her first day!!!

I have nothing but positive things to say about The Dog House. I have a 2 year old Husky/Great Pyrenees mix that has enough energy to run a marathon every day if he could and he always comes home from daycare exhausted. The staff here is also fantastic; always friendly, always informative and my dog loves every single person there.I've done boarding twice with them and have picked up a happy pup both times as well.They are also very cautious about sickness going around. My dog had been coughing one day and they quarantined him until I could pick him up. It turned out to be nothing, but I appreciate the fact that they take precautions to make sure the well-being of the other dogs there is taken seriously.I, and my dog, HIGHLY recommend this place for daycare and boarding!

I asked for grooming services while my dogs were boarded for a couple of days. After picking my dogs up they look no different from when I dropped them off. I paid for a service that I am pretty sure never even happened. I also do not like that I have to pay extra to have my dogs played with and taken outside to use the restroom. The only reason I rated a two star is because the people in the shop are very nice and welcoming.

Very very nice - our 2 fur babies really like it there. Staff is very nice & friendly. Clean - very clean so happy we chose The Dog House for our babies for daycare & overnight stays...our one guy is a very unsure dog - here we feel very comfortable will be bringing them to daycare once a week. That should help Mikie. Both George & Mikie really like going there they can't wait to go through the front doors to go see who is all at daycare to play with.The 4 of us all say thank you to "The Dog House".

We actually got a hamster here the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. They do adoptions for little critters instead of breeding. Good if you are concerned about that with the industry standard being what it is. It's a clean place too I feel like they would take good care of a dog that they where dog sitting for someone.

We have taken our dog there for daycare 5 days a week for a year and a half. She absolutely loves her time there and comes home tired every day. The staff are great and our dog is so excited to see them every morning.

I recently had the experience of having my Dog groomed for the first time at The Dog House on Nordale drive. Our experience was more than amazing, I had high expectations and our Groomer Tammi did all of that and more. Thanks for making it a pleasant experience for us and our Baby girl. Definately wont go anywhere else.Thank You!

Great selection of natural dog chews in their Raw Bar. We were able to find cow ears, freeze dried Bully Sticks, turkey necks, and homemade treats for our pup. They also had a frequent buyer program that gave the 13th bag of Fromm dog food free after you bought twelve. Staff was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely go again.

I would NEVER bring my dog here. I work at a business very close to the dog house, and during breaks we enjoy watching the dogs play. There are two women and one man that yell at the dogs and do not speak kindly to them at all. One day the brown haired lady with the tie dyed shirt was screaming at a dog and making angry gestures at it! It did not appear that it was doing anything wrong, but annoying her by following her around. A homely, unshaven man actually grabbed the thing they use to pick up poop and was jabbing it at the dogs and yelling at them! I had to call them once when a dog was left out alone in the evening sitting by the back door for almost 20 minutes. The others had gone in and the dog did not go in with the others. It appeared they forgot it, but when I called they said it was "supposed to be enjoying it's time outside." A very short time after I called someone opened the door and let it in. I did not see this personally, but a coworker told me they left a dog outside alone overnight.I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because there are two people I've seen who are extremely nice to the dogs (a younger man probably in his 20s, and a younger woman who talk very nicely to the dogs even when they are yelling to them, but I've never seen them yell at them). The younger man also plays with the dogs and I've seen him throw balls and pet the dogs. If all their employees were like this young man, I would not hesitate to rate them higher.

We kenneled our two dogs the week of July 30, 2021. After pickup on August 2, 2021 we noticed hacking and coughing coming from our dogs. The dogs were then taken to the vet and verified KENNEL COUGH. Our dogs were current with vaccinations...now we have two sick dogs and added vet bills. Not impressed 👎👎. Contacted the manager Scott at the doghouse he was of no help. We will not be going back.

I give The Dog House & Pet Center 5 stars, I have been bringing my Giant Schnauzer, here since we have brought her into our family. WE LOVE The Dog House, she has been socialized and has THE BEST CARE when she is in doggy day care. They treat her as if she was their own. We are treated like family, just stopping for food or dog treats, everyone always makes us feel welcome, which I absolutely LOVE. I would tell everyone I could about The Dog House.I have never had any issues with unprofessionalism or being ignored. I also have never had any issues with our babies getting groomed either. I go to The Dog House grooming spa and use LuAnn. I have followed LuAnn from Tailwaggers though.We also take our other babies to be groomed to The Dog House grooming spa. I would never go anywhere else.Continued from above, I have recently adopted another Giant Schnauzer puppy, as soon as she has her rabies shot she will also be going with her big sister to The Dog house for doggy daycare for play and socialization

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I have been going to the Doghouse for many years now. The staff has went above and beyond to help me in several situations. I get all my pet supplies from there. The staff and managers are knowlegeable and friendly! I will not go anywhere else for supplies or even advice. I have several parrots and each one has come from there. I would highly recommend everyone to go and check out the store and facilites. Waiting for my puppy now! Will get everything I need and more from there!! THANK YOU DOGHOUSE FOR ALL THAT YOU DO FOR ME!!!!!!

Apparently you have to pay extra if you want them to let your dogs outside. Otherwise they expect your dogs to pee and poop inside of the kennel in an area with a floor drain in it. My girl dog did not like this and had to go really bad when I picked her up after a one night stay.
