Great customer, we were greeted at the entrance, and multiple employees asked for assistance. Upper management just seems to walk past many customers.Lots of fun shopping here. They have a little shooting game area, great for all ages.

Scheels is by far my favorite sporting store. The prices are a bit higher on most of their products, but they do carry some really quality brands, and they’re flexible with the return policy, especially if you’re not happy with a product, they strive try to make it right. Not only that, but they’re known for their excellent customer service with their employees, which they have some very long with standing employees who have been with this specific location for well over 10 years, and that says something about the company itself.

Stopped with a friend who wanted to purchase some Hey Dude slip-on shoes that were on sale. The store and restrooms were clean. Their staff was friendly and helpful. Full price, they tend to be on the high end but we enjoy purchasing items we want when they are on sale or clearance.

I rarely write reviews but this one was worthy. Long story short, I ordered an LED light kit and it wouldn't function. Some time after noon on a SUNDAY, I called customer service and explained the issue. The replacement was on my doorstep before I got home from work on Tuesday. Great customer service. Highly recommend!And thank you. Because I need those lights for an out-of-town adventure this coming weekend!

This was my first experience at Sheels and honestly I could've easily given this place 5 stars and spent way more money than I did.Unfortunately the staff made me feel more uncomfortable than anything causing me to leave the store earlier than I had wanted to. More often than not I felt like I was being followed throughout the store, and was constantly stopped by staff making it difficult to enjoy the experience and explore all the store had to offer. I almost felt like I was being tailed by a loss prevention team, and like they weren't sincerely offering assistance, but rather testing my resolve to see if I was going to crack under pressure and empty my pockets for them smh. I'm sure some of their staff meant well, and they were just doing their jobs but just let the customer come to you and more importantly give them some space, allow them shop, and feel comfortable doing so.

Very helpful salesperson. When we told her what we were looking for, she stopped what she was doing and went into the back room to search for the item that wasn't yet on the display floor. Plus my husband was given a beautiful coin and a discount for being a veteran!

Organized and well kept. Friendly staff and a nice change of pace from other large sporting goods stores. For how busy they were, everyone was well behaved, even the kids! Can't recommend Scheels of Appleton enough!

Conflicted is the best way to describe my experience here. I came in for 2 particular needs, a holster and fly fishing line. For the firearms and ammo they have available, they have a very small, poor selection of holsters tucked away in a corner away from the guns. That was disappointing. So I made over to the fishing supplies, certain I'd be leaving with at least half of what I needed. Nope. Nothing for fly fishing at all. I couldn't find fly rods, lines, or any flies. Nothing. I thought I had looked everywhere, yet o couldn't find an associate anywhere to help. I asked another shopper, who appeared to have a similar distressed look on him and searching frantically for a what-have-you, and he hadn't seen anything in fly-fishing gear or whatever it was he was looking for. I have purchased musky gear and ammo from here, as they do have a decent selection of that, but I am disappointed this time round. Fortunately, I did have other business in the mall.

We came to Scheels in search of hey dudes for my husband and found what we needed. I inquired about a pair of shoes they had in my size, which they did not, however, the staff in the shoe dept were slammed busy on a Sunday & they were quick to check for me!We frequent here for other things as well-clothing, guns, etc.

This store was like three of the best comparable stores combined and it still had more options. It was refreshing to talk to the employees who seemed happy and proud to work there. Only downfall is I wish it was closer to home but makes a fun day trip.

I don't go to the mall often. I was looking at shoes and all of a sudden the mall is closed with no announcement. I was stuck at Scheels and had to walk around the entire exterior of the mall in below 30 degree weather without a jacket to where I was parked at Target. Took me over 25 mins to get to my car. Never going here again. They said they don't do announcements because they don't want to offend people? It's INFORMING PEOPLE.

Do not !!!! Use a guy in credit card approval department by name of Trey !!!! He should not be working in this department much less the sporting goods area in credit card approval !!. He knows nothing!!! . It took me over 40 minutes with this guy and then he asks me to tell him my social security number!!!what I said hell no !!!. Then I entered it and he asks for my phone to check status and he was pushing buttons on my phone and locked it up on me . Then he enters wrong information for approval and card is now pending for 10 days . So then he claims he can get scheels card approved under girl friends card even though she wasn’t present in the store which I found hard to believe he could do ??. I was right you can’t unless you’re in person in store . 1/2 hour waiting for then manager comes over to tell me that’s not possible to do ,,REALLY ???. Now through all of this I’ve got to deal with some extremely inexperienced and totally nervous hyper kid twirling a pen like it’s his first day on the job and if not he definitely didn’t present himself that way !!!!. He was extremely Rude , arrogant, cocky , and unprofessional and unqualified!!. I have a great credit score of 760 or better this card should of went through in seconds!!! I’ve never had an issue except with this person. I had another card with unlimited cash flow I used it and seconds later it was paid . I wanted to open up card only to get $75.00 and more rewards and gift cards Till Trey blew that !!!. Please beware and don’t use this unexperienced and rude person in cc department at Scheels !!!. I plan on bumping this behavior up the ladder . And the other cashiers witnessed his behavior and I could tell they were appalled when i said to them are you hearing how he is responding and lashing out to me . I then asked for another person to finish up transaction only to him responding as well we can’t run another application unless it’s done live in store who said you could do this !!!, again I turned around and pointed straight to Trey . Don’t use this person for a card application please use another employee

They have nice things there. Vary much variety of many things. I really don't like how they check out people. You can stand there and they open up another register. So I went there and she told me that I was not in lane. Where is the lane when everyone else is standing with me. It was so inappropriate. Cashier number 105852.

Most people with no experience in guns or anything else struggle thru the process and most times if the "experts" are not helpful experiences turn sour. In my case buying my first gun from appleton scheels started pretty rough. After almost giving up, Lisa from the guns department went above and beyond to make the process easier. Her humbleness, understanding and guidance really made me change my mind about cancelling an order for the 3rd time! Customer Service is the foundation of every business and Lisa excelled at it!

They have the stuff that no one else stocks. High-end pew parts, great archery line-up. The meat processing area is insane. The staff is knowledgeable and plenty of them. Oh, and it's dog friendly.

Never seen so many people working in one store! Busy place but service was amazing. I needed shoes and some shirts. The shirt I wanted was hung up very high. There was three people walking around helping customers in that area. Did. It take any time to get what I needed. It seemed like every one was out to buy shoes when I went. There had to be around 30 to 40 people in their large show area and it did not feel crowded. I counted at least 4 people working and they were hustling. It took me about 15 min including looking for what I wanted. Checking out was the same way. 10 people in line and it only took 5 min to get checked out. On top of that eve person working there was personable and every person had a smile! Wish this place was closer to home.

Pat and Hunter in the archery department were very helpful and knowledgeable with the equipment I had them perform work on. Even as they were very busy, they took the time to answer any questions I had. Very rare in this day and age. Very professional and courteous. I will be back for more purchases. Thank you

Impressive customer service in the firearms area! I made a purchase and the sales people told me I would get a special they had through the manufacturer. They were wrong but resolved the issue by following through with what they promised themselves. Companies just don't do that these days. I will be back and will be telling everyone they followed through with what they promised. Lack of customer service is a big issue these days, but I did not get that here.

Matt sporting goods specialist assisted my husband in buying a pair of Crispy boots. He took a lot of time, and he was very knowledgeable, caring and truly truly was exceptional. Thank you Scheels for employing such an excellent young man.
