They carry a very wide variety of food, always makes my cat happy.Also I rescued a bearded dragon & didn't know what to feed it or take care of it. When I asked a Petco employee she helped me so much & answered all my questions. They are very knowledgeable.

One star is TOO generous! Brought my dog here at the beginning of the month for a grooming appointment and they have to use a slip leash/collar as part of their procedure. Sure, fine. But the woman that got a hold of my dog who was very obviously already stressed and nervous, was not kind or gentle to my dog. She dragged him in with NO consideration of the fact that the leash tightens when you pull it and basically pulled my scared dog in and let the leash strangle him. He was scared so he didn’t willingly walk in immediately. I had to push my dog in so she didn’t keep letting it tighten! It was pulled so tight on him his eyes were red and he was wheezing. She didn’t do anything to comfort him during his time in there, no talking no reassurance no petting nothing. We’ve had groomers that know how to handle dogs and do everything to make them comfortable. AFTER WE TELL MANAGEMENT AND OTHER HIGHER UPS THEY SAID NOTHING HAPPENED AND BLACKLISTED US FROM THE STORE! BEWARE! These people have NO problem harming your pet and then telling you you’re wrong and not allowing you back. Absolutely disgusting.

Place is a joke . Never have stuff you need always out of stuff. Their rewards program sucks I've been buying my dog food here for yrs as it's the only place I can find it and when they have it in stock. According to their rewards program I should've received like 4 or 5 bags of dog food free but when I ask about it they tell me oh it doesn't show that . Guess it never registered my purchases . Something like every 7 or 12 bags you get a bag free . Well I buy 2 big 40 lbs bags a month and still haven't gotten anything.

I was just looking at the reviews and one other person had the same experience as I did with my pup today! Very upset as I drove an hour to get my pup de-shedded and nails clipped. I get a call an hour later saying my dog is stressed and they couldn’t finish her bath and she would be wet when I picked her up. Which was fine I picked her. But I specifically requested her to have “VIP” treatment and when I got there she was not with the stylist who took her back and when I arrived the stylist was with another dog. I could hear my dog barking in the back. And then said she would go get my pup, which then I was little confused as I thought she said she would be with her the entire time, so then I was under the impression my pup was by herself in the back. Very bad first experience. Would not recommend

Every time I come here, if it has anything to do with fish I always look for Joe or Ryan. They are a fountain of knowledge. They are very nice and always try to be helpful. Joe knows a bit about filters and setting up a tank as well as fish. Ryan knows quite a bit about different types of fish. We have a 55 gallon fresh water tank and have been coming to Petco for our supplies and fish since November of 2022. I have no complaints whatsoever. They are not condescending and they don't act like they know it all like I've encountered at other fish stores in the area.

I appreciate that the employees you hire truly seem to care for animals. They are great at helping me locate products I need. Some of them are very knowledgeable about the difference in pet foods too.

Came in to buy fish, but got a weird look when i said i wanted 5 goldfish. Was told I wasn’t being very ethical by purchasing five of them. however they worked quickly and efficiently.

Drove 2 hours to get the dog in for a grooming appointment. Lady advised us that she was a new stylist but dog has been being groomed by petco for years so I was ok with that. Get a call an hour later saying dog was anxious and she wouldn't cut his hair. No wonder the other petco in appleton was completely booked and this one was completely open for appointments. Don't wasteryour time coming here

If you’re looking to get ripped off, look no further. Had made an appointment to have my Samoyed just washed (not trimmed) as I was unable to take him to his normal salon. Booked with an online advertised set price, Upon pick up 3 hours later I was presented a bill over THREE time to initial price. Will never return or recommend!!!

Good selection of aquarium products, but looking at the betta fish they have in stock several were almost certainly mislabeled as male and many had poor and unhealthy coloration.

We went tonight to get some fish for our tank we've had set up for 2 weeks now. After spending some time picking out which fish my boys wanted, the cashier told us she couldnt sell us fish because our tank needs to be set up for a month. Now that we're home, I'm reading another google review stating an employee told them their tank needs be to set for up at least 1 week. YET, the Petco websites states that we should wait 24-48 hours. So which is it? 48 hrs? 1 week? or a month?It's no wonder why your store has so many fish but PetSmart has none.My boys will take their hard earned money somewhere else that deserves it.

We never come here, we usually go to pet smart. A bunch of people must have been there because we just won two gold fish from the fair. The guy with long black hair and a pony tail said "Your fish are gonna die" as he walked away from a mom and her kids. When it was time for him to help us he said that our tank had to be set up for a week and we could only have 2 goldfish in our tank when he told the other lady she could have 4 or 5. I'm like we have 2 goldfish in our car from the fair. Sp that's not gonna happen. It was just super annoying having this guy give conflicting information from other customers and information on Google. It really just seemed that he didn't want to work and sell people fish. You need to get a new line because nobody is gonna wait a week to get a tank set up for children's goldfish. SMH.

LOVE the Appleton West Petco store, its always clean, well stocked & the cashiers are happy to see you. TOTALLY opposite from the Appleton EAST PETCO - where the store aisles are frequently clogged with carts of merch waiting to be put on shelves, lines are long, crickets are frequently on the loose, not pleasant. The last time I was at Appleton East the refillable cat litter bin was empty, there was no one to help, the line up front had at least 6 people waiting at one checkout so I filled the bin myself (& my 2 containers) from the bags stacked beside the bin. Appleton West is awesome, Appleton East needs ????

I went petco looking for puppy training classes from a friends suggestion to go to this location and ask for Amy. I immesiately knee this was what we were looking for and trusted her insight on ways to correct my new pups developing bad habits. It was worth the extra drive time. She waa honest helpful and gave various methods to try if her origional suggest didnt work bc lets admot dogs arr like humans we all learn differently. I would highly auggest usinv Amy as a dog trainer as she promotes positive reinforcement vs negative(shock collars) and is kind caring and trustworthy. My puppy loved going to class evefy thursday just to see Amy.

So many options for dog supplies here. The small animals are in too small of cages and the hamsters have barely any bedding for being an animal that mainly burrows. The animals are housed wrong and it's teaching the customers to do the same. The hamster cages for sale are not meant for a LIVE hamster, instead, they are more of a toy cages. Please improve your animal habitats.

This is the local place I've been coming to for getting treats for my little ragdoll cat. The employees here have done a good job of providing a positive experience.The store seems to have been getting less of a variety of cat snacks. The section with dried treats and puree has definitely shrunk in the past month or so. However, despite that the visits are always positive. Props go to the employees for this.
