Had exactly what I was looking for. Recommend the app highly for purchases, especially with the links to other locations, to help you find what you need. Recommend placing orders ahead when numbers are limited, for pick-up, to guarantee purchase and avoid item being out-of-stock. They will pick it off the shelf and have it conveniently waiting.

This place has changed drastically since we started going there 10 years ago. The workers are some of the rudest I've seen in a lifetime and I'm almost 70! I returned a few items yesterday without a receipt and the woman behind the counter, Kim, gave me such a nasty look and spoke to me like I was a thief!! Okay lady...how does a 70 yr lady steal a large kitchen faucet, a total package of plumbing for inside the tank...all brand new, never opened, an electrical cord for a stove and 3 toilet rings??? I explained that my husband died and he had a maintenance business and I didn't know where the receipt would be and that I had no use for these items. She snatched my license out of hand, kept huffing and puffing, turning my license over and over...like what are you looking at and why?! She says "your can only return things 3 times" I replied with "I have not been here in over a year and haven't returned anything!" I finally got my credit and went shopping but will NOT return. She made me feel so uncomfortable and she had no right to. She didn't even offer her condolences. Very unpleasant and unprofessional.

Such a great store! Great prices. Literally there's everything you could need here. Great place for a quick stop after work. All the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable! Highly recommend visiting this store if you are looking for something for your home.

Victor W. is an amazing human! I was looking for floaties for our up coming trip and the website said you had them in the store and i couldn't find them. I happened to find an employee (Victor) and he was determined to help me find them. We couldn't find them so Victor took my number and said he will look for them and call me when he found them. Later that day he found them on a pallet and put some aside for me. I came in the next day to pick them up. He went above and beyond my expectations. So thankful there are good workers still. I believe he works in Hardware. Thank you Victor. Your kindness didn't go unnoticed!!!

We needed 100 1X8X12’ tongue and groove pine boards. They show on their website that they have over 400 in stock, only problem is that the 80 or so on the shelf are all junk. We know that because we went through every single one two weeks ago and they were all rejects. Two weeks later, same boards. They do have three unwrapped pallets in another area that are buried, but won’t put them on the shelf until the 80 picked through junk boards are gone. Pretty disappointed in Appleton, WI East Menards.

Went to store to purchase some items, while i was checking out (Liz was the cashier 1/11/2024 in the am) i was looking at the prices on the check out screen to make sure the prices was correct and Liz turn around and said to me "i quote" YOU DON'T HAVE TO LOOK OVER MY SHOULDER TO CHECK YOUR PRICES I KNOW HOW TO DO MY JOB in a stern voice. I never had such rude customer service. All i could say is WOW, then i said to her i would be sure to write a review and she shrug her shoulders. This person should not be in customer service.

Ken in building materials was extremely helpful. Got everything accomplished in 15 minutes vs. 45 minutes looking for someone to help at the Grand Chute location.

Couple of reasons to choose Menards (and specifically this location):Menards Google profile actually includes a product directory search section - ummm…hello…brilliant! 😊The vast majority of this locations associates are super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and out of this world helpful. (Cannot be said about competitors associates)3.19.1023 — had such an impressive experience with Micheal (Building Materials Dept) that I wish he was there every time I came in. He really knew the store (obviously), the products and what would be best for my special needs but also a very refreshing friendly and professional demeanor.Joshua - a carry out help associate- was very professional and friendly. He made a very conscientious effort to carefully load my bulking/ heavy items into my vehicle.Recommendation for this place definitely exceeds the 5 star rating.

It's still a great place to shop. Laundry soap is cheaper there. Literally have everything from candy to automotive. Household appliances, furniture, rugs,lamps. Nice lighting and electronic center. Pistachios are also cheaper along with other deals. Tools of every maker. Wood,lumber,roofing, and plant center. My last 2 visits were the BEST I had for customer service in a long time. Prior visits weren't that good. This definitely made up for the Prior visits.

I am totally unimpressed with this place. I bought what I thought even though it was a floor model was a brand new pellet stove only to find out when I called the company for parts I found out It’s a 2019 already four years old. It does not run because of a sensor, and they did not have any other ones on hand, and it is already hooked up to use. I called the store to complain and had I got a better discount because it was a display model I felt I would have no reason to complain, but when I asked for a better discount when I was purchasing, this I was told they could not, anyway, as I talk to the lady at the store about this, I kept getting the old run around with no specific answer and when she asked what she could do, I told her if I had a better discount, I would have no reason to complain. I got no answer to this response and again she said well I don’t know what you want me to do, she said you can bring it in I told her forget it. I will just go on the Internet and let people know my experience, I was quickly hung up on. I quit going to this place previous because of this type of service and you lost a customer now again. I hope other people read this and avoid your store. I have tried to post this numerous times and apparently it will not a post with one star!!! This place sucks!!!

Loyal Menards customer for years. Bought a vinyl flooring remnant for a remodel and right in the middle if the roll is big gouge marks, so I roll it up and bring it back to return, and all the rude service desk lady says is, sorry all sales are final on remnants! On damaged merchandise? What a waste of time and money.

Management is very rude. Cooperate is literally no better. Treating you like a thief when their store is the ones that made the mistake. I won’t step foot in this store unless I really have to. Otherwise I’d much rather give my business to Home Depot or Lowe’s.

We went in to the store to look at countertop options with Miranda. I told her the size of our island was 60x63. During quoting, she couldn't figure out why the system wouldn't let her quote for that size. Well, the maximum depth in quartz the company can manufacture is 54 inches. Over an hour wasted on quoting a project they couldn't feasibly do. I then found a clearance slab of quartz on the sales floor that we could make work. She told me it would be $109 for delivery, then $50 to carry inside the house and install on the cabinets. At the checkout process, her warehouse manager said they didn't have the man power to bring it inside for install, which was a deal breaker for us.She doesn't seem to know much about her position. I would not recommend this department for countertops due to lack of training

I bought a brand new washer and dryer in Oct it's jan and neither work properly! I had the service company come out and they basically said everything in my washer was not good. They can't get parts. They want me to bring it back to the store I explained I had hired someone to pick it up and deliver. Then they said they would call me back in the mean time I called the appliance manager and got no where! They put blame on the warranty. Then I called them back they said menards had to deal with it. The head manager told me to rent a truck from them! And then I finally got my washer working half way and now my dryer isn't drying 4 months old 1200 bucks down the drain and they are both garbage. I will never buy anything from this company again. Especially almost 1200 dollars worth of nothing! Very disappointing from such a large company

I am a loyal menards customer. I always come to buy stuff to do little projects at my house. However, today February 24th 2023 at around 8:55 pm I did a last hour purchase of some molding I needed for my bedroom. I picked up these two pieces, I saw the price, was 9,28. I went to the register and I got charged 13 something. I was concerned when I saw the final price and I went to the manager KELLY to ask about the price. I was not angry at all I just wanted to know the reason the price was different. She didn't say hi, or I am sorry, or don't worry I will help you. Instead she looked at me as I was trying to still from her and didn't say anything just started asking through her device to someone on the back to check the price. I wanted to help cause I realized it was a little late. I asked her if she wanted me to run and help whoever was over there to find the price. The person was taking too long. She looked at me angry and said: "I can't have you do that, I have someone checking". Well after several minutes she looks at me again and tells me, do you remember where it was. And I told her where I found it. Again after a couple of minutes she looks at me angry and said to me, "go back there to check the price there is someone looking and can't find it".No, I am sorry could you go and help us please, no nothing. Instead she made it seem like she was doing me a favor. Well I wanted to help so I went. We found out that the panels were in the incorrect place. I didn't want to exchange them and I was okay with the original price only a couple of dollars more.I went back to the register yo get my receipt the manager KELLY again comes to me and she asked me: do you want to exchange? I told her, "no, I am okay paying the right price" she was al rude and just gave me the receipt.I told her that she provided horrible customer service. She said "have a good night sir"I am sorry this manager was rude very unprofessional and sassy. I was not asking to get anything for free I was just wondering about the price and I didn't even get an: I am sorry for any confusion.What a horrible customer service from this manager. I don't want her to get fired just make sure you teach her well how to treat customers. I will leave a picture of my receipt and I will be posting this everywhere in social media. Just had one of the worst customer service experiences ever. Went to the paint counter to get some paint mixed. The lady working (Amber N?) popped her hip, rolled her eyes, and let out the largest sigh all before saying a word. She made a point of saying she’s the only one working so it’s going to be a while. Then made it clear she didn’t want to be there because she’s being “forced” to work 50 hour weeks. Pointed out the struggles of Covid with inventory and staffing. Said it’s been super busy. To be honest, the place was practically empty.I think I’m more than reasonable in understanding that things are tough now more than ever..but her instant attitude was simply not okay. My mom and I just took the “kill her with kindness” route and got out of there as soon as we could. Hope they can be more selective with their staffing in the near future!

I do like Menards, but was disappointed because the one in this city didn't have much for Xmas gifts as the Menards did where l use to live. But it was a more remote area, and people came in from further away to shop.Or maybe it's just too close to Xmas and they are sold out?Anytime we've gone in the past they are wonderfully helpful and the staff will go out of their way to show you where something is.I don't like that you have to bag your items here, because l am disabled and my energy disappears very quickly.

In this location, there are a variety of tools and hardware to help supplement one's home project and to-do lists, and they even have enough food to help you skip a trip to the grocery store. The workers here are sometimes good natured and thoughtful in the way they present themselves to customers. Workers here aren't afraid to show displays of contempt and anger as a standard of service, though, as you will find is common in other restaurants and various other non-Menards stores in Appleton, Wisconsin. It may be only the rich-people overpriced stores where you find people who put customers first (and their emotional sanity) as a priority.It is only the cities with coercive and demeaning attitudes towards their customers, and cities with enough economic riches to supplement all departments and areas in an accountant's summary, that actually succeed (ethically and unethically) with luring their customers into their own stores. At this specific Menards store, I can tell both values are appreciated in an unethical sense and are hence the unethical behaviors are induced/preformed by employees.Behavior of certain general staff members when walking past them can be described as pushy, inconsiderate, and having aggressive demeanors (I do not intend to indicate battery by using the word 'aggressive').A behavioral assessment of the people who work here and their attitudes and behaviors, and my negative opinion/review of the such, should be identified by readers as being based on/consensus-ed by at least three visits to this location by myself (individual statements not indicating a whole or partial representation of all that is in fact or (of which and what) I am-and-have observed).

Menards of Appleton east was exclusively the home improvement store I shopped at for 15 years, until now. Menards falsely accused me of stealing a $140 Bosch Jigsaw. Unfortunately, I paid for it using rebates so I have no recourse. It's their word against mine. They refused to show me any evidence that they had against me. Menards decided to involved the Appleton Police department so I had no choice but to unrightfuly hand it over. It's sad that they chose to loose multi generations of customers over $140, I hope it was worth it. It was fun while it lasted Menards.

Great selection of products. I like shipping there because can find almost anything I need.... However, asking the staff to assist or getting an advice is pain. Sometimes, I get the feeling they just hate being bothered. I do not blame the workers but the management. To me, it seems the staff is stressed and underpaid. Unfortunately, that brings a unpleasant experience. I don't want to feel guilty because of asking a question as a customer. I prefer going to Home Depot. Yes, less selection but always ready to help. I wish Manards did something to improve their service.

Starting during the summer of 2018, I encountered a less than willing and clearly unhappy associate when looking for mulch. Figured it was a one off.We stopped shopping there during 2020 through today, in 2022, due to the company requiring masks in areas where COVID had died off, also when the state governor was ruled against by the Supreme Court for the mask mandate, (Jeré Fabick v. Tony Evers, in his Official Capacity as the Governor of Wisconsin). Menards can either try be a store or the CDC. They cannot be both, and they didn’t win points in our book for trying those years.We hoped 2 years later, that the company would pull it together, and 4 years later from my last dismal interaction.Today: The cashier couldn’t be bothered to help us find the item we needed, landscaping barrier material. Obviously she couldn’t, or wouldn’t leave the cashier station, nor did she ask for another associate to help us find the item that we had been looking for over the last hour. We left our cart after going back around again trying to find the item that the associate said was “in that corner, in the middle”. What was an equal disappointment, was that we could not find an employee to ask, that wasn’t on her phone, nor was there one offering help because there were no other employees there. Could’ve used one to sweep the rocks that jammed the wheels on the cart back by the cement…but alas, we gave up. We will continue to patronize big box stores and Amazon because Menards hasn’t been able to keep my business. If we had had great service, we would have left a review, but I think after 4 years of poor experiences, we are entitled to leaving a review that is equal to the experience we had today.

Everyone was nice. Except one associate told her the bathroom needed toilet paper and some cleaning. Had no toilet paper in almost every stall. She gave me attitude and rolled her eyes at me. Don't use the restroom there it's gross and no toilet paper. I guess bring your own toilet paper to this Menards.

Great experience today. Stock of deck boxes all gone on the floor. Team member Justin from another department stopped what he was doing to check stock and found four on the mezzanine. He contacted person from correct department who got the box for us. Both young guys were very pleasant and helpful. Thanks Menards team.

Went to get a memorial wreath found one all discolored and packed full of dust. Store would not do any kind of discount on it. Was told by the manager in a snotty way that the price is the price. Won't see me back in this store what so ever.

Staff was nowhere to be found and once located were zero help. Nothing more than uneducated highschool students stocking shelves or staring at a phone. The individuals working in plumbing knew nothing more about a product than what was written on the package. I would highly suggest heading over to Lowes one exit down the highway.

Great hardware store...most exceptional prices. Huge food and personal care selection. Christmas goodies perfect trees and trimming. Lighting section is lovely. Employee's are kind and knowledgeable. You can rent carpet cleaners and tools by the day or hour. Nice return policy 👍 Good job Menards.
