Never had a local pet store where I walk in and I can be a ghost, totally invisible. The two workers talked walking around the store with my family and another family browsing but nope not once did they ask if we needed help. Then I went to the counter and stood there awkwardly for about 20 sec before they stopped talking to each other and finalize acknowledge me when I finally cut them off in the middle of their conversation which was not work related. You'd think they want to help me since I came here instead of a big brand store. Their selection is nice and the guy I talked to on the phone was nice but the workers I met was definitely not him, hence the 2 stars otherwise none. I will probably never come back to this store and I know it's probably not fair for one experience but that was my experience. I'm sure on a good day maybe it's a nice store but just fair warning.

Friendly local pet shop with a decent selection of fish and other pets. I have visited many times and every time the staff have been friendly and helpful. I have purchased a few fish the likes of which no other store in the area had including Galaxy Rasboras and some very nice Galaxy Koi Bettas. Their aquatic plant selection is nice as well as their fish food selection. This has become my go to pet shop in the area and I will be returning whenever I have a need.

Went to this store two years ago and forgot to leave a review. This is almost exclusively a fish store. The animals in the back are in horrible conditions, Rabbits that are 3-4 pounds take up half their enclosures with no place to hide and most of them look so lethargic it's embarrassing. Do not support this place, they should be shut down

Just Pets has the most competent and knowledgeable crew I've ever met. They are extremely well trained to care for their animals and they care deeply about them. They helped me to get a fish tank ready for my daughter in the week leading up to Christmas, helping me to get through an accelerated cycle to get the proper flora balance and chemical composition for a betta fish and they would not allow me to take one until I could bring in a sample of water that checked out and could confirm that my tank was the proper size and had everything we would need.I would recommend them over any other local store for anybody who needs a fish, reptile, mammal, or bird!

This is my favorite store for many years now. One of the only places around to pick up amazing saltwater coral and amazing saltwater fish. Just pets is also the only place in the area to have live rats and mice for my snakes 🐍. They also have best prices on freshwater fish too. Added bonus is that there receipts have a coupon for 20 percent of fish for next time u stop in!!!!! Oh yesssss!!

This is my go to pet shop. I ho here for all my pets food and to see all the new pets they may have. There salt water displays are sooo pretty you think your in the ocean.

I’d love to continue to give this place 5 stars like I did 6-7 years ago, but it’s just went down hill with their lack of care. I’ve had a 55gal, 100gal & now 175gal tank, so I definitely have my share of experience. I started coming back here after moving back, so probably 4 years since the last time. About 2 months ago I came in got some fish and a few other things, within a couple days of getting home all of the fish had ick. Sometimes it happens and it’s nobody’s fault so I didn’t think much of it. Well I went again a few days ago and again after being home a couple days they all have ick again. If you recently treated for ick or are in the process of it, you need to be telling customers that. It’s also very obvious they do the bare minimum needed to keep the animals alive, the few times I’ve went recently all the snails have shells that are broken and decaying. Not sure what happened, use to be a great place with great workers with morals.

Really like this place, lots of variety and the staff are knowledgeable. We purchased my sons Green AmericanTree Frog around the beginning of March and he's doubled in size. Yesterday we decided he needed a friend and bought another one! The picture is our first frog Hoppy when we first got him!

Only place I can still get bulk self serve lab blocks for rats. Store is small and a little quirky feeling but the employees are nice and helpful.

You'll find such a great variety of fish and small critters, that are well cared for! The right stock to take care of them also. Knowledgeable staff!It is smaller than chain store pet shops, but l think much better and fun! My fish from them always lived long too.

I bought two fish there. I paid with my credit card. I was never given a receipt. The cashier was so focused on the next customer. The next day, one of the fish died. I called them, and they told me to bring the fish in with a sample of water. I brought the fish in the water to the store. They wouldn't test the water or refund my money because I didn't have a receipt. I showed the transaction on my credit card statement, but that didn't matter. I am very disappointed since I had heard great things about this pet store.

Nice variety of salt and fresh water fish...and that is about it. Poor overpriced selection of reptiles and small animals. Most of the inventory is older models of what bigger chain stores have and in many cases cost more than than newer versions. Store is filthy and not kept up very well with items just all over the place with no real organization. Many items are not even priced, damaged packaging if packaged at all. Many used items are overpriced and really not visually appealing to purchase. Really just looks like a rummage sale. Staff is rude and not as knowledgeable as one should be when working in this type of specialty store. Disappointing and not a pleasant place to go.UPDATE: Stopped into get crickets today and I'm impressed with the change. The store is a lot cleaner and organized than it use to be. Doesn't look like a garage sale anymore. Selection of livestock is more diverse and looks cared for.

Far from enough space for the amount of animals they have crammed into cages. All of the hamsters, bunnies, chinchillas, etc looked extremely neglected & miserable. A situation where you want to adopt them all to get them out of a clearly poor environment, but ethically we couldn’t justify giving this business money to continue these practices. The bunnies are kept in cages they are 1/4 the size of, with no room to exercise, hide, etc. Super super sad.

People were very nice and explained everything very well. They even let us hold a snake. But in the axolotl tank they looked stressed or something. Their gills were little and discolored and they didn’t move around much. But my sister said they looked better the last time she was there so idk.but I do love this place and will be coming back

Mmm. It was a nice place. They didn’t have the products I was looking for but that’s okay I know not every pet store will have the products you want. I thought all of the fish and things looked taken care of. But I have one issue. The axolotl tank? One looked dead and the other one looked almost dead. They looked like they have been starved you could see how skinny they were. I’ve seen my fair share of axolotls and I have seen ones that skinny before. Their gills seemed like they were burned off (maybe by ammonia?) but the sight made me very sad and disappointed. It was clear those axolotls weren’t being taken care of. Which confused me because all the other animals seemed fine? But yea they wouldn’t even move at all. And I know you’re not supposed to tap the glass but I wanted to make sure they were alive but they didn’t even flinch (which is why I thought they were dead)

We've been going here for years, never once had a bad experience. Always healthy, long lasting animals and if they have problems in a tank they won't sell the animal. They're honest and take pride in what they do. They don't overcharge, if you Google a price on a fish, that's the price you'll find in store if not cheaper. They're knowledgeable and always happy to help. This is easily my most recommended store and every person I've referred to them has become a loyal customer. Thank you Just Pets! You guys are my favorite 😁

I’ve been to this place a handful of times and every time I leave feeling so sad and angry. While they do take great care of the fish… the animals in the back are in extremely horrible conditions. None of them have the correct habitats and they are sitting in so much spoiled bedding. They have tarantulas on aspen which is not right at all, snakes in very dry enclosures, and the smell of pee coming from there is just horrid. That place should be shut down if I’m being honest. Those animals deserve way better than that. Disappointed to say the least
