Without the help of the owner, I would be lost, when I was a newbie, day one, he kindly educated me about saltwater care and the proper nitrogen cycle, and gave me the foundation I needed to start my tank. It’s now fully cycled, and sustaining life well, the owner left a lasting impression on me that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I feel supported knowing that I can call the store if I have something major go wrong in the future. I will definitely be back, to purchase fish and inverts in the future. If it wasn’t for his help, and guidance on exactly what to do, I wouldn’t have been successful.So to whomever is reading this, and is a newbie like I was, this man will help you. Just take his advice clearly, and FOLLOW IT. He’s a marine biologist, he knows what he’s doing, and I couldn’t be happier with the things I purchased from him, my dried rock now had diatoms growing, everything he sells is top tier. If he doesn’t sell it, don’t use it… I learned my lesson with the Fluval sea hydrometer, and should have gotten the instant ocean one he sold instead. Mine doesn’t work now, but I have a proper refractometer, so it’s okay. He taught me to research EVERYTHING throughly and find out WHY things are the way they are before doing ANYTHING. Super grateful.

Bought corals here 15 years ago and had great success. Unfortunately had to shutdown that system because of life. Starting up a new system and will buy all my corals here again. Ppl have to understand that all these corals are aquacultured there, not shipped in. This takes a lot of time and money. So when you are buying corals here you can rest assured you are not supporting illegal trade, which is destroying the natural reefs. There for I will send the couple extra $ for premium corals. Plus unlike some of the reviews here, I did my research and the prices are not that bad.

BORDERLINE FISH ABUSE I went over there yesterday and omg that place was a nightmare. tanks looked decrepit and some where full of algae (Bryopsis) and some fish had some serious fin and under/overbite issues. not to mention the coral tanks they had fish that should be in a 75 gallon atleast in crowded shallow coral tanks. as a hobbyist fish owner these fish are seriously neglected in care. random areas around the tank had large salt build up and the air was just fuming with excess nitrates and ammonia. any fish owner can immediately tell you the smell of a normal healthy tank and a bad one. not to mention no prices listed at all. I simply came in to look around and came out mortified

Wait, a top notch coral store in the middle of Wisconsin? YUP! You can't find a better coral shop within 500 miles, truly a gem. The owners passion and knowledge is flowing out of every corner.

I just moved to the area, checked out this store and I was completely blown away by his selection! It gives my old go to in Minneapolis a dang good run for their money. The owner was super nice and knowledgeable. I do wish things were priced but honestly being in the hobby now for many years, his prices are very very fair. He’s now my go to from here on out!

Very knowledgeable and honest. Really nice selection. Prices are really fair considering sells really colored healthy aquaria. Any question he answers with confidence. Well worth every visit. Very straight forward with advice and doesnt sugar coat anything or make you buy stuff you really dont need like most aquarists just want product moved without caring about if they actually need it or not.

Pepe helped me get back into the hobby after more than a decade out. So much had changed. Literally told me to not buy 4 products I used to use because I didn't need them with the tank I had. Said he would sell them to me but was a waste of money in my tank. Spent the time explaining why not just yes or no. Not to mention his corals are the most impressive I have ever seen and i used to propagate coral years ago.

I stopped in the other day with my kids and was given a wealth of knowledge about Reef systems and different ecosystems that would be healthy for a reef system. Bought the bulk of my system from this establishment. Products seem used and sold as new. Bought a UV sterilizer, 1st one didn't work, The 2nd one leaked all over my living Room . Upon closer inspection I could see tool marks where it had been used and put back in the Box. Finally rectified the situation When the owner became rude and unwilling to help Due to the fact that I purchased a goby From a different pet store.. He accused me of not supporting his store After spending nearly a $1000 with him ..Very unprofessional.
