The owner did a great job of shaving my cat today. His fur was badly matted in several spots. She said that she had to put him back in his carrier to calm him down when she only had one back leg to do. When she went to get him out of his carrier, he was upset but she took him out and shaved his back leg that she wasn't able to do the first time. She wasn't afraid of his behavior. Thank you so much to Appleton Pet Spa. I am glad we have this place, since I also had to take the cat there last May for a shave.Pat

This is a picture of Baby after his Spa date.He is constantly in the mirror. He loved it an that says a lot because Baby is a rescue an has very high people anxiety.You wouldn't know I have a cat if you visited me. But they handled my man with kid gloves I fully recommend them. Good friendly professionals. Baby will be going back, he deserves it. Thank you Pet Spa.

I wanted a schnauzer cut. She shaved her legs and said it was necessary, then charged me $5 over my quote. (I had brushed out everything after her bath the night before. I'm in tears that i have to wait a year again for her hair to grow out.

Very unprofessional to advertise walk in hours 11-1 for nail trimming and to never show. There were people waiting who took time out of their day and anxious animals out for no reason. I will never be back.After reading multiple negative reviews, it seems she no-shows quite often. It’s a shame because not many places even accept cats. If someone could take over this owner that would be amazing!

after multiple weeks of calling and texting trying to get an appointment, we finally heard back. we sedated our cat for his grooming appointment (per her request) and she never showed up. we had an appointment at 11 so we showed up at 10:45 and waited outside until 11:30. we called multiple times and even got the building manager trying to contact her. will not be returning here very disappointed in the service

Tara and her team are amazing! APS is one of the few places in the fox cities that grooms cats and they do an amazing job every time. Appleton Pet Spa is reasonably priced and I appreciate Tara's communication and quick rescheduling when my cat became unsafe to groom without a sedative. Thank you APS team!

If there were 6 stars, this place would earn it. The owner is kind and empathetic towards every customer. She is quick to respond and treats each client as if they were royalty. She helped out during a difficult time in our lives and I will be forever grateful 🙏

I can’t believe how rude this lady was to me today. At first I came in without my dog and mentioned he did not like other dogs and has 3-4 long nails in the front that need trimming, so naturally I had his muzzle and electric collar on. Along with a harness and leash. Immediately she snips at me, “harnesses are terrible, use this” and handles me a slip leash. I thought okay, maybe she’s just having a bad day. Next i brought my dog in, he was timid of the cats but walked towards her. She didn’t acknowledge him at all and went straight to trying to clip his nails. He was afraid and she didn’t even introduce herself to him. After a couple minutes of squirming around she tells me, “go around the corner you’re making it worse standing there with your nerves.” REALLY LADY??? I’m trying to comfort my dog that you don’t care to do!!! I walked around the corner and waited. I was patient and trying to make conversation when she said, “alright that’s it. This isn’t worth $10. Take him to his vet for sedation”. He never growled at her. He was scared of the nail clippers and maybe if this incredibly rude lady would have just been a little nicer to the both of us, she would have got the generous tip that was waiting for her, along with a better review. And just maybe my dog wouldn’t be so nervous. We used to take my boys here all the time when they were younger and we never had issues. I moved away and we stopped coming, went to other places and they had a fear of the clippers. Don’t take your pet here. She was rude to us the entire time in person, I can’t imagine what she does to pets when no one is around. Please don’t take your animals here…

my cats, Odie Jonze and Willow Knox, have been going here for over 5 years and never once have we had a bad experience. Tara is always so kind to my babies! and she told me once i am comfortable with it, i can bring my newest cat-Harvey Acuña- to her too! he’s just super hype and i don’t want to add stress to her day so once he’s a more chill baby he’ll be going to them too. thank you for everything!!

Incredibly kind staff, my dog smells wonderful and is incredibly soft, and the price was surprisingly low. Also want to note that two other groomers have put off cutting my dogs nails because she “shows her teeth,”, they handled it and even said it wasn’t a big deal. Not to mention they have a packed store of kong brand toys and organic bones and treats that are cheaper than what I find on Amazon. My new go to place.

First time booking with them. I can’t speak for the grooming (although the facility seemed subpar in my opinion) but the girl who answers phones and works front desk was horrible enough to not make me want to take my dog there. I had something come up with my kids and was unable to bring my dog in for a grooming. I understand how the groomers work on commission so I felt terrible about it. But I scheduled it the day before so it wasn’t like I booked a month out. I called ahead of time to let them know and was given a slap in the face about “strict cancellation policy”. Then was told to bring my dog late and they would fit him in. So I brought my dog later but was told when I got there it was too late and again this “cancellation policy”. I asked where I could find it because I had no idea. She said my text confirmation should have said it. Nope. I didn’t want to reschedule because life can be hectic and if things are that strict I didn’t want to inconvenience them again if something came up so I walked out. Then heard her laughing at me. I confronted her about it and she said she was laughing at the tv. Again, nope. Still trying to find this strict cancellation policy on their Facebook page but not seeing it. Again, not sure how the groomers are. Maybe they are great. But this girl was enough to make me never want to leave my dog there. And it seems I’m not the first to have this experience with her.

This has nothing to do with the drama currently going on within this business. I feel as if the drama should be dealt with internally and not plastered all over the Facebook page.The experience I have had bringing my dog in has been all over the board. The owner gives a time when they will be done and I am left outside of a locked door passed the time given for pick up. At one point I waited an hour with another customer who was waiting to drop off yet. Services such as nail cutting have been forgotten a few times , I assume because my dog was rushed through to catch up.Whomever has been helping out seems to be more consistent. Times are right on and seem to take a fraction of the time.I believe there should be a 3rd person on staff in order to keep the schedule going.

Tara has been our groomer for the last 2 years and we won't go anywhere else (disastrous experiences with prior groomers...ugh!). Took both our dogs (45lb lab mix and 85lb German shepherd) once so far. They were clean and happy when we picked them up. The shampoo they used is quite heavily scented.

I love the Appleton Pet Spa. They have always been fantastic when getting my cat groomed. Their price is also very reasonable for this area. The only drawback is that they don't accept card payments, but they're a small business and they do a great job. I recommend everyone who asks to them.

Unless your pet is well behaved and there’s no chance they will hiss or anything DO NOT BRING THEM THERE. My cat hissed and was upset/scared. Thinking they were professionals and pet lovers I thought they would pet my cat to comfort it but they did not and had me standing in the rain for my cat then let me in to assist in holding. My cat didn’t act that bad and they told me she would have to be sedated next time. Unbelievable. The place is not easy to find and they don’t tell you ahead of time that they don’t take card so you will not only be in a search for the place but in a search for a atm or bank afterwards if you don’t have cash or a check. No clear directions either it was a overall horrible experience.Did not get a loving feeling from this place. Will not be returning. Maybe they only love dogs and don’t know how to act of a animal is scared. Save yourself the time and money.

I bought my morkies in to get their faces cleaned up. The groomer was not very friendly to my dogs. In fact I thought she was more aggressive than what I think a professional should be. She was done with my first one and already reaching for my second one before I realized she never did the full face like I wanted. She only did by the eyes and I wanted their full face shaved. I was so shocked by her aggressiveness and lack of asking what I wanted that I didn't even correct her and tell her she didn't do a complete job. All I wanted was to get my dogs and leave.

My Siberian looked beautiful when she was done. I can't even brush him and she was able to bathe him, get the matts out and clip his nails. Money very well spent. I will for sure go back!
