The internet is sick. What sort of person writes a negative review about the one and only animal rescue organization in their entire county that is run by mostly volunteers?? I have had multiple interactions with the Langlade County Humane Society and they are doing God's work.

The woman behind the counter not sure her name was very rude and disrespectful. I wanted to look at the dogs to adopt I have an husky and wanted to see if I could find a other dog that would be suitable for my home and she wouldn’t even give me the time of day, and I have adopted before there. I have donated money also went and bought dog and cat food when they were low on food I take my cans there too and to be disrespected like that is really mess up especially when you want help from the community and these dogs and cats need loving homes. Also the new front office smell like cat urine really bad.

We adopted our rat terrier 11 years ago from here before we got him we were told he had been returned 4 times to us this says they don't give that's unconditional love . In the coming months we are planning to adopt again and plan to come here because how they treat the kids with love. Thank you for what you do day and out.

The staff was really nice, and the animals were well taken care of. the only thing I had issues with was I wanted to take all of the kitties home but we settled on one and she's fitting in nicely

Do NOT recommendBecause they have ZERO respect for wildlife.I found a rat last night that may have been poisoned. Total sweet pea. I called all the vets in the area and they said to go to Langlade County Humane Society to check their door for an after hours number and they will take care of the rat (euthanize humanely and dispose of the body properly)When I went to the humane society they had NO AFTER HOURS number. Which is concerning. What if my dog went missing? Also they are only open 4 hours a day. Excuse me who's taking care of those animals? They need to eat more often than that.Anyways I finally get the rat in this afternoon and I was told NOT TO DO THIS AGAIN. I asked what I should do. They said drop it off in a field. Excuse me!? This is where the no respect for wildlife comes in. Rats are prey. Animals will eat it. If its poisoned what is gonna happen to the animal that ate it? Absolutely disrespectful. Animals will die. If someone is walking their dog and the dog decides to snack on it then you got a sick and possibly dead pet. These people do not deserve to own such a business with animals if they do not respect ALL LIVING ANIMALS 😤They were DISGUSTED I brought a rat as well. If you do not like ALL animals do not work in this industry.Very rude. And since I have complained I've gotten many messages from witnesses saying they've watched the staff do drugs and beat the animals. Everyone needs to be fired from there and replaced with people who actually love and want to HELP the animals

My fiancé and I went there on a Tuesday around 5 PM and the door was open. When we went inside we were greeted by a very rude lady who told us they were closed and that we had to leave. We went back on a Thursday around 1 PM and all the doors to the buildings were locked even though there were cars outside and the sign said 'open'. It's a horrible way to treat customers if they want their animals to be adopted; won't be returning.

Got the sweetest dog ever here. "Dude!" is such a good, good boy. Lives to please. Shelter dogs are always the best. Friendly staff, clean facilities, an A+ experience!

This shelter has poor communication skills and have no proper training for the staff. We were recently mislead regarding the adoption of a dog, consequently they awarded the dog to another Individual to cover their blatant mistake. Do not trust their staff to do the right thing.

There was a free Microchip Clinic offered at the Humane Society. Sponsored by Lost Dogs of Wisconsin. What a fantastic offer, as these can get pretty expensive when chipping multiple dogs. Friendly staff and beautiful facilities

Craig even lent me a car carrier for my new feline baby. The cages & cats are clean & they are handled & socialized.

I had some concerns about my neighbors dogs, sounds like he had a 100 of them I can hear them barking and crying from a mile away, I called the Langlade County Humane Society and apparently they are not in charge of saving or investigating the lives of these poor dogs they told me to call the Langlade County sheriff's department to do a well check, but I highly doubt that was done since the guy is running for sheriff.

Alright place, but gave me a hard time trying to adopt a dog. Took 3 months and and we finally got her. But that was after calling the assistant to the mayor.
