Dr. Walters is an amazing Vet and this location is full of wonderful people. Would highly recommend as she was willing to work with us when we were struggling financially. I cannot express how kind she is and how much they care at this hospital.

Not very accomodating to a new client and Imposing a deposit for grooming appointment for 2 months waiting period. At the end She said" oh I'm sorry we don't accept new client" Not a very pleasant person to talk too.

The staff were great with Houston. He doesn’t like getting his nails trimmed but they were gentle and kind. He also got his yearly shots and NexGard medicine. Place was clean, didn’t smell horrible like some vet places. We will be back again for his nails to be trim.

Definitely recommend this place! The staff was all nice and respectful and caring, made sure I felt comfortable when I let my pet go and when I got him back. Won't go anywhere else now

It was our first visit here. We took our 2 kitties in for their shots. We'll be using them as our Vet for all 3 of our kitties. My only disappointment was that I was talked into buying Laxatone for my kitty and as I suspected, she doesn't like it. When I mixed it into her food, she smelled it and walked away. I tried putting a little bit on her mouth like the Vet suggested, and now she runs from me when she sees me with the tube. Now I'm out $13.20. I was told that I can't return it to the Vet, I'll have to call the manufacturer if we can't use it.

I normally don't go here but I finally managed to get a stray cat to trust me after 4 weeks. I wanted to get him vaccinated and checked out before introducing him to my 2 other cats. I called every vetanarian around everybody was 2-3 weeks out except amherst, so I booked the appt. We were in the exam room 5 minutes at most and I mentioned some concerns but it was just like oh uh huh and then they left the room drew blood and returned him to me. Not pleased at all. They called days later with test results that they told me they would know in 15 minutes. Not pleased I won't be going back there.

Staff is knowledgeable and courteous - I have been going to this vet for 5 years and have always been happy with the care given to my kitties. It is obvious the staff genuinely cares for the patients (animals) they see, and make sure the owner is completely informed with what's going on with your pet. I am also pleased with the cost of their services - rates are competitive and definitely worth the cost. I really can't say enough positive about this clinic, you get the small-town attention that everyone deserves but not always received with other clinics. A+++++

I wish we had learned about the Amherst veterinary clinic 4 years ago instead of 1 month ago. We will be taking Daddy's Little Buddy aka Finnigan no where else. Tremendous staff and veterinary care. I recommend trying this animal clinic for all your 🐶 and 😺 needs, they sell food, pill pocket treats, collars/harness and other supplies to. PLUS they'll do there best to get your pet the care it needs without a ridiculous wait time!!! Give em a try and I bet you'll be glad you gave em a try like we did.

The exam room was covered in dog and cat hair. They obviously do not clean the room between visits. I’m not comfortable having my pet vaccinated in a room with who knows what remaining from the last patient.

Great experience. Staff and the doctor were friendly and they were quick as well. I was in for a rabies vaccine and we tacked on a heart worm test since it has been while since he’s been checked. They had us in and out within 45 mins of the original appointment time and a call early the next morning with the heart worm test results. Definitely recommend these great people.

Little bit of a wait to be seen but low staff will do that. Great service and kindness for me and my pup. Even washed my pups blanket after her surgery so it was nice and clean for pick up.

I wish I could give this clinic less than one star...We switched to this facility because they are quick to get you in & are very cheap.... After a couple of visits, I can completely understand why it is that way. Switching her over to this clinic has been the greatest mistake of our lives. During the time she was in their care they:**Gave her a medication for a health problem they did not administer a formal test for (never had that happen at ANY vet before)**Delayed necessary medication for several weeks (never faxed into pharmacy) that could have caused lifelong illness/fatality**LAUGHINGLY refused an after-care visit (though the actual procedure was performed at a different facility, they were our most recent primary vet) Again, putting her at risk of further internal infection/other diseases/fatality, etc.**Rough handled our pooch**Staff was uncompassionatePlease. If you love your pet, take them ANYWHERE else. We have since switched back to our original vet. (Oakview Veterinary Clinic) Those couple extra dollars are worth it when it comes to your pet's care. Do not take the cheap/easy route because you do only get what you pay for & it may cost your companion's life. 😢

Mixed review here. They can always get you in quick, but that does not mean they will get you In quickly once you arrive. Had issues in the waiting area due to how many people are always coming and going and dogs getting snippy with my dogs. Hard to find a quiet corner. The doctor probably would have been happy to help with my situation as we’ve been clients and have ongoing care for a long term illness with my dog, but before we could get to the doctor a non satisfactory interaction with a secretary sent me to a new vet. She hung up on me! Also always a little dirty. Prices are similar to other vets when I compare, some things a little higher some a little lower. Update- due to an original misdiagnosis my dog has been in pain for a long time. Upon going to an emergency vet found out she had cancer not arthritis. Big mistake! If you needed more tests to figure out what is going on take them. Wasted a lot of money to have to take her elsewhere to find out what was really going on.
