I just started going back there a few weeks back because there was a new manager. Now again, I won't be wasting my gas again for the reason of not knowing if they will be open.This store is not open when it's supposed to, according to the website. I drove 7 miles to Amery Family Dollar at 11:30am. on a Sunday, October 1, 2023, and it was not open. The store hours on the website claim to be open at 8:00 am every day.Update: 10/15/23. Arrived at the store in Amery at 9:45am. Once again, closed. It is supposed to be open according to the website and the hours listed on the door. There are no signs for reasons of being closed on the door or anything.Family Dollar is never open according to store hours. It makes the mall look poor. A more attractive local business should be moved in there.SHUT THIS BUSINESS DOWN. WASTE OF TIME AND FUEL. IT IS NOT CHEAP.

Giving this a one star so I can comment...otherwise this store deserves no rating. It's like going to the casino and gambling on whether this store is going to be open on any given day. Many recent Saturdays it is closed, lights off, locked up, with no reason. Posted hours are a joke, because they are not followed. Now it's starting to bleed through to during the week...Last night, May 8, 2023, I visited the store at 8:00pm. Lights on, no one home. Door locked with sign on door...be back in 20 minutes...on break. Ok, what does that mean? What time did you leave? When are you to return? Unbelievable. Then 2 store workers come walking down the sidewalk from the grocery store. They pass my car...(I was pulled up by the doors) walk in the store and lock the door behind them. I knocked on the door, and they kept on walking...didn't even turn around. Ten minutes later, one walks up front opens door. I go in, purchase my items...I ask why the store is closed, when posted hours are..."open 'til 9:00pm" the answer was "I had to pee", and we were on break. Real professionalism there folks. Don't bother with this piece of work store. It's gross. Everything about it screams creepy. Family Dollar Executives...close your store and move on.

This locations says they are open at 8 am. Called the store and even says on the recording they open at 8. Called back and tried to see if anyone would answer at store, nope. It was 9:40 am when I arrived, door locked all lights off. Very misleading. Hours need to be correctly updated.

Giving this store a 2 which is generous. Visited this location many times over the last 5 years. Find it extremely cluttered, staff are busy chatting about their social lives. This morning arrived early 8:30, realized the location opens at 9. Ok we will run around Amery and then head back. 8:55 great timing, 9:25. Let's just go to the hardware store. I suggest the family dollar change the sign to 9ish. This is not the first time. If you are not in a hurry and have time to dodge things in the aisle, then this store is for you.

This store is an absolute disaster..... just a dump. The employees and managers are lazy and inattentive, either on their phone or gabbing with each other instead of being helpful and curtious, they are completely incompetent.... they could care less about their job.....an absolute disgrace if they're ever open.

I go to the family dollar here in amery wi alot! I gave the store a 3 because the staff is always nice to me. Even when it looks like they have had a rough day. Yes the store needs help, the store needs workers who want to work and workers who care about getting product on the shelves. We can all complain about the messes like dirty floors, blocked isles and product not stocked. But i want the family dollar to remain open. So what needs to be done to get the Problems and product onto the shelves? Please figure it out so we dont loose our family dollar.

If I could give this store a - rating I would. It's filthy, nevert stocked. Carts are rarely available(the employees use them for stocking) I am at the point I'll drive 20 mn to go to Walmart. Whomever owns this franchise might want to make some changes. I can only imagine the money they are loosing due to closing early opening late. And the fact people aren't going to put up with this much longer.

I would give it zero starts if I could. This store is a mess. No matter which day or time you go in, there are boxes stacked everywhere and you cannot even see what's on half the shelves. Stuff from the shelves are all over the floor, and there are open packages of product everywhere. They never have enough employees working, and I know for a fact that they have at least one hard working employee begging for hours, but because he has epilepsy they don't want to schedule him. Disgusting, and illegal. I hope they get sued.

Disgusting. Isles are full of stacked boxes. Safety risk to customers with their towers of stock that never seems to make it to the shelves. Was there 3 days ago and the dog food hasn’t moved from the carts to be stocked on the shelves. Floors are filthy, shelves are empty. It’s really sad having a store so close and convenient that I won’t go to anymore.

A high class dollar store. Exemplary of the franchise. I'd visited other "Family Dollar" stores in other states, and this one is actually nicer and the floorplan layout provides a better shopping experience than regrettable visits in other states. Proper respects to the management at this Family Dollar location. It is clean, respectable, and holds a good value for acquisition of common products. Great buyer, and very good employees. A staple of the community.

Great place to shop but the young staff should watch getting into conversations at the checkout about how they dislike working there and it's their last week. Customers don't need to hear it - just happened Monday February 10th at noon if you want to talk to the employee working the cash register

This Family Dollar is even worse than most Family Dollars. One thing is many times there are zero shopping carts. All the carts are being used for items waiting to be stocked, they are in carts that block the aisles. The aisles are full of merchandise that has fallen into the floor and left. Huge carts 5 feet tall that block the aisles . The place is filthy. Some employees have health problems and should not be working with the public sector.

It's been awhile, probably six months since I've been in there, but not super impressed anymore. Used to be able to find lots of great deals for the whole family, but only found two small things for my granddaughter's birthday. Will not be going back, unfortunately.

I was teying on a pair of shoes while my 5&6 year old were following my rules no tuning or being crazy. Well there were foam swards by where these shoes were. They started playing with them. The worker on duty shouted across the store "no goofing off in the store!" My children both have special needs and were following my given direction well. The point is not her place. At all.

There is currently a lot of outdated food on the shelves. Best by date for hamburger was Aug. 2022.

We have here 2 different days, after 10am, and they were still closed. The sign says open at 8am. We are disabled and it is just too hard to make another trip to see if they are open.

Going on 11 am on Monday October 1st and store still not open.. Need to have a live person to talk to when calling the help line.. Taking business elsewhere as is everyone who is leaving since the store in Amery Wisconsin is closed

It's getting better... There for a time I didn't want to shop there cause the place was dirty and not well stocked.... But it's being turned around and getting better

Place is filthy, air vents black with dirt, perfect breeding ground for T.B. and with Covid who knows what else.Would advise hazmat suit before shopping.
