Stopped here on the way up to Baileys Harbor and very glad I did. I'm not sure what some of these bad reviews are talking about, but what I found was someone who was very knowledgeable and had some interesting stories. I also bought a really cool Brachs candy rack. There are TONS of cool things here, especially if you're into vintage advertising items. Give yourself at least a couple hours to visit, and yes it's ONE dollar for a lifetime membership. Get over it!

Cant believe people are complaining about paying 1 dollar to enter. Its a one time fee for a lifetime membership and if you buy something you get your dollar back. This place has so much history and there is so much to see. Literally brought back so many memories. This place is like a museum but everything is for sale. Worth every penny!

One of the best shops I've been to in ages. There is a huge variety of weird and awesome stuff there and the owner, Tom, is a super friendly and knowledgable guy with a unique sense of humor that I really appreciate. Will definitely be back!

News flash. Museums often charge admission fees or request donations at the door. Reading the unprofessional negative replies by the owner of this establishment makes me happily patronize other RESPECTFUL antique stores in the area. Admission fee? Man, I've been all over the country and this is definitely an uncommon experience. Are you selling antiques or operating a museum?

I finally could get in the store last summer, I am not from there and there was a lot magnificence tools, that was what I was looking for. The owner was pretty savvy and nice person, like most of the people in this beautiful town and taking a look in his 55 Belair was even more enjoyable my visit.Unforgivable mistake for a Cuban, how I could miss that? Definitely I am aging pretty bad and my memory is playing those tricks, thanks!

Really professional of you, calling my wife a crybaby. I see by looking through past reviews, you have called other potential customers crybabys as well. No wonder you didn't have a single customer in your shop today. You're a real piece of work. Good luck with that

Tom's place is a great and bizarre collection of antiques and curios - best of all - his witty repartee and experience keep us coming back for more. An example is the $1.00 membership fee (!) we giggle every time we use it. We've gotten more than our monies worth in entertainment. He is as much a treasure as his inventory - We'll be back - Tube Guy and Tuber.

The outside made us stop. We love stores like this, packed, musty filled with the past. I get the no kids, I have 4, seriously they touch everything and the $1 fee, who cares it comes off at the end. Great conversations, will make this a place to always come back!

Drove 40 minutes to come check the place out. Hours confirmed online said open until 5pm. Got there at 4:10pm and it was closed. Called and was told very rudely that they didn't have a single person in the shop so they decided to close early. Not good business practice and not friendly employee or owner.!

I have been wanting to stop here for a long time now and very glad that I did today! This place is amazing and i am very happy to be a lifetime member! Tom is so very nice and I didn't even realise I had spent almost two hours here I found a perfect gift for my dad and even something for myself and just know I'll be back very soon with my dad as I know he'll love it just as much as I did!

Absolutely LOVED it here! We go to antique stores on a weekly basis, and this was by far my favorite that I've been to. Tom was so funny and helpful, he knew the store by heart and pointed us exactly to whatever we were in search of. So many neat things, it was hard to narrow down my purchases! The prices were very reasonable, and I thought the $1 'membership fee' was more than fair. If you have your panties in a wad about $1, you probably shouldn't be shopping anyway. Great experience, can't wait to visit again next time we're in town.

Used to be a must do stop on the way to Door Co. Recently stopped in, fence around the outside and a sign at the gate "no kids allowed" also something about a $1 membership fee. Guess this guys junk is too valuable for us!

Really unique and good finds here! We had a great time looking around and the owner was super nice. Definitely worth stopping - and the dollar for the lifetime membership. We’ll be back!

Can’t argue with a guy who’s honest. Great shop, great collection of goods and well priced too. Great conversations, down to earth, common sense business makes the one-time $1 membership fee (that is put towards your purchase) well worth it’s weight in time well spent. We will return every time we come back to Algoma, Wi.

We walked through the gate and there is a sign saying “no children allowed” and “you must pay a dollar membership fee otherwise you are trespassing”... Wow we walked 1 foot into this mess just to feel like criminals. Screw it, we just turned around and kept driving. Way to turn off customers...

Decent selection but slightly over priced. Good top notch inventory so worth the price! Leave the kids at home. Tight spaces and breakables at little arms reach. Cool location being in an old service station. The owner is willing to sometimes negotiate pricing or bundle deals. Never hurts to ask. Great owner with good sense of humor. People need to be less sensitive.

My partner and I were traveling up from Milwaukee on a little picking trip and stumbled upon this antique shop, and were absolutely floored at the amazing curation, the reasonable prices, and the sweetest owner, Tom. We not only left with the cutest vintage Champion hat, but we also left with a new friend. Don’t be discouraged at the DOLLAR admission to walk around, because if you buy something you do get it back. Tom knows the history of all of his objects being a collector first, and a smart businessman secondly! He deserves all of the love, and so does his amazing collection of “junk”.

What a great place to find treasures! Owner Tom is so friendly and easy to deal with on prices. Great inventory and he directs you to where to find what you are looking for. We got a double wash tub and a horse drawn harrow!

Charming place. Don’t let the member sign scare you away. You pay $1.00 to become a member and they apply towards your purchase. Owner and shop keeper were especially friendly. Hidden treasures galore!!

The sign on the door stating you need to be a member to enter or become one isn't the joke I thought it was. The owner was rude about it and told us we needed to pay a dollar each if we wanted to continue looking around and he would give it back if we bought something. How does this guy stay open?

Plan on spending a couple of hours here, there is soo much stuff that it can't be done in 30 minutes. There are signs all over for "members only". The "membership is actually $1 that comes off your first purchase. You WILL find something to buy so don't sweat the $1. Owner is constantly adding new stuff. While we were there someone walked in with an open top coffee cup and was insulted when asked for the $1 fee after walking by all the signs. Respect goes both ways. This place is an experience, not a breeze thru flea market stand. Enjoy the journey.

This store is packed full of many gems. It takes time to see all of them. Thankfully the owner has it very well organized by type. Don't forget the outside area, backroom and even the basement. Obscurity and quality abound in this small town gem. I always stop in when going through town. There is always something new to view.

Stopped at this place on the way home from Door Co. From the way the outside looked, I knew i had to go inside. There is so much stuff crammed into this place, even a basement. it could take hours to see everything. Every nook and cranny from floor to ceiling is filled with all kinds of eclectic odd stuff, from car parts, toys, to beer merch, to mannequins, to even a coffin. It has an old funky cool smell inside that only an old building can have. And the owner Tom is a talkative gearhead.I found a vintage Nash hood ornament. And will drive back up there in my 57 Chevy

cramped, junky, cold, dirty. just being honest.and when we wanted to leave, we were locked inside and couldn't get out???pretty sure that's illegal. I've been to thousands of stores all over the country, not once have i been "locked in" when trying to leave.

This place is definitely worth the stop. There is lots to see and the prices are extremely fair. The owner is willing to work with you and negotiate. He cares about the stuff in the store and is willing to chat with you about it. I recommend this place and will be coming back again.

Cool museum and only charges a dollar to enter! The stuff in front definitely is an eyesore to such a pretty town. Almost thought this was where I suppose to drop off of my scrap metal.

Was looking for decent places to shop but will NOTTTTT be coming here. Responses from the owner are completely immature and unprofessional. Really surprised you get business at all. Now just waiting for the owner to verbally abuse me :)
