The Staff is awesome, even though I used my own kayak they shuttled me back to their office and Albany and watch my gear while I got my truck for picking up my Kayak❤️. The Sugar River is a nice tubing or paddle for the novice or the seasoned paddlers.

Great experience - we had a group of 16 people. $20/person (tube, shuttle ride back included). Additional $10 for a cooler tube - glass and styrofoam are NOT allowed on the river. CASH ONLY. For ease, print the waiver ahead of time and get everyone to sign if you are in a big group. GO EARLY - the line ups really do get long. ~4 miles down the river? We took 4.5 hours to get all the way to the end and it was a 5 minute drive back. With that being said there were many times people got up to move us along. Had that not been done I feel like it would of taken maybe 5-5.5 hours. There are portable toilets by the main parking lot and at the very end.

Well maintained equipment, helpful staff, easy use and convenient docking with shuttle back to your car. This is well worth the trip. Bring cash, no checks or cards accepted. Sunscreen frequently and bring your own beverages. Great views of scenery and wildlife.

I’m taking one star away because they allow people to blast their extremely annoying music at top volume on speakers while going the river and it’s incredibly annoying. Otherwise though great place- easy to navigate, the river is beautiful. If does start feeling a little long toward the end so bring lots of snacks and maybe a boom. You WILL need water.

Really enjoyed kayaking on the Sugar River. The entire team is friendly and professional. This place is known for their tubing and it looked like the groups and families in the river were having a great time. But I didn't want to commit to 3+ hours on the river. It ended up taking a little over an hour by kayak.Check this place out if you're in the area on a hot day!

Things you might want to take with you: SUNGLASSES, baseball cap or hat that shades your face, sunscreen, a drink (the tubes have cupholders), water shoes (just trust me), an umbrella if there is a chance of rain, and snacks. Cooler tubes are available for an additional 5$.---HealthScenery (5/5)Wildlife (5/5)Bugs (5/5)Employees (5/5)BusynessProblemsBathroom---If it's cold, consider bringing a t-shirt to wear while tubing. If you want to bring alcohol, you can NOT have it in a glass container.Health: Last year, one of my friend that went tubing cut his toe in the river, but didn't notice it until he got home, and ended up going to the hospital with an infection. He was fine. Recently, I went tubing and I now have (what seems to be) swimmer's itch. I have a few bumps (one on my neck, arm, and back) that itch if I touch them. It's like having less annoying, prolonged mosquito bites that last about a week. So, maybe you want to have health insurance before you go. This is not S&B's fault; it's a river, and it can't be sanitized. I don't say this to dissuade people from going, but I think everyone should know. I've gone twice with my friends, and each time, someone has cut their toe. If you wear protection for your feet, you should be okay. I wear Teva's, my boyfriend just wears old shoes. :PScenery (5/5): The scenery was beautiful, even on a cloudy day like the one we went on, we had a lot of fun. It was really lovely the whole way. There were trees everywhere, and when there weren't trees, there were fields, and we passed under a bridge and got to see the local police practice flying a drone.Wildlife (5/5): There was a fair amount of wildlife on our June trip. We saw a crane, many birds, two snakes (one swimming through the water, and one relaxing on some driftwood), a frog, and a few rodents we couldn't identify.Bugs (5/5): There were no mosquitos when we went out in late June, but there was a spider on one of our tubes.Employees (5/5): All of the employees we spoke with were very nice, and helpful!Busyness: It is VERY busy on weekends. VERY VERY BUSY. The kind of busy where you should get there an hour or two before they open. They are open on weekdays, which is probably a better time to go if you are able. If you go on a weekday, you shouldn't need to get there early. When we went on a Tuesday around 2pm, there was no line.Problems: There was a guy drinking beer in his back yard as we passed, looking at the people pass, which was just a little bit weird. Also, our trash bag for the cooler tube fell off, and someone had to swim back for it, while everyone else tried to keep the tubes from going too far, and that wasn't the best.Bathroom: Pee before you go! Do you not have to pee? Think again! You will! Go anyway! Also, there are port-a-potty's at the end where the shuttle picks you up.

This was an absolute blast. My advice is to get there early because it gets crowded fast. When we finished, there were 100 people waiting for tubes and it was hot out!! It is a lot of fun and the employees are great!

It's a good time. Tubes are 15 bucks, cooler tubes are 5. It takes 3-4 hours if you don't stop. There are multiple decent little sand bars to pull off if you want to along the way. The workers were all nice and we got picked up at the end and brought back in like 10 minutes or so. My only gripe is that they have nice tubes with head rests and cup holders and then when they run out you get basic black ones, which is fine but it's a bit of luck what you'll get and you pay the same either way.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is great, it is efficiently run, and the river is perfect for a relaxing 4 hour ride. The only downside (If I had to pick one) is that parking can be difficult. We got there right after they opened and had no issues with parking. As we were leaving though, we got to see how much the surrounding streets filled up. We will definitely be back next year!

Inexpensive fun. They even let you bring your own tube and even inflate it, as long as you deflate it to take it on the buss ride back. Their cooler tubes are great, very large coolers above 60qt won't fit well. Someone was right about weekends being more rowdy adults with alcohol, but what would you expect on a lazy river on a beautiful day? Opens Memorial day and closes Labor day. Hours are usually open @9am-10am, and last tubes and canoes leave by 4pm. Simple guidelines of no glass and cash omly make it easy. Theres a Bar type place to eat after if you desire. I go several times a year to tube with friends and/or family. Make sure you have your sunscreen and any watertight bags/cases for anything you want to take but not get wet. Have fun!

It was a nice, scenic float. The water level was low & slow, which made it easy to walk or play around. The tubes were a nice size with a back rest & cup holder. We were hoping for a quiet Monday and were surprised at the many loud drunk groups.

Had a great time going down the river with my coworkers. It’s bring your own alcohol, but no glass is allowed. The river takes about 3 hours if you’re going at a slow pace like we were. We had a blast! It was only 15 per person, cash only. Plus $5 for each cooler tube.

Loved it and had a great time. My only complaint would be that a dime parts we got stuff and had to paddle but water was low so that's what you get. Would definitely do it again and bring back family!!

They do a pretty great job organizing a ton of people. It was super busy when we went this time and parking was very limited. There are 3 Porta potties. I'd recommend changing beforehand. Don't crack a beer before getting in the water because you'll have to shuffle to get to the water, especially if you have a cooler tube. There are some sand bars and many shallow parts. It got congested this float because of the amount of people floating which can be fun to interact if you're a cool person.

my wife and I were there on Labor Day weekend, it was our first time at this facility and lets just say.........WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!! The staff were outstanding and very friendly. There are a couple of float trips in IL (were we are from), but this close and much MUCH MUCH better!

Fun experience almost everyone can do! They provide the tubes for you, life vests, and your cooler, string to tie you together, garbage bag, and shuttle back to the main site. Things i reccomend bringing: waterproof bag for phone & car keys, water proof speaker, and plenty of drinks/snacks! No glass is allowed on the float and the float lasts about 3-4 hours based on the current. There are a few sand bars you can stop at along the way to stretch your legs. Most difficult part was avoiding branches at the end. The workers did an excellent job helping you out of the water when it was over!

Lots of sticks and roots and stumps sticking up in the water along the river while we tubed. The beginning enter point has crazy painful rocks you have to stand on while tying tubes together. Part of my party had been scratched and scraped with sticks embedded in the rivers bottom all along the tubing path. So many sharp rocks along the river where at some points your bum drags along while floating. My son split his toenail on one trying to steer our grouped tubes away from several dangerous sharp stumps and trees along our float.Too much danger to enjoy a leasure day on the river.Just not a great experience. They should forewarn people of these dangers beforehand.Nice staff, just not a super safe river.

One of the BEST things to do outside within this part of Wisco! And only 45 minutes from downtown Madison.

Horrible experience. Not going to leave a long detailed review because they delete them anyways. Dangerous sharp branches and dead animals floating in driftwood. No current. Dirty filthy tar river. YUCK.

Beautiful river with lots of wildlife. It is more slow moving than the Apple & Wolf so be aware that you may have to do quite a bit of paddling if the wind is against you.

We love S&B. They give you a tube for yourself and for a cooler (if you want) and you enter the water by the building. After a few hour float down the river, they drive you and your coolers back to the start. The tubes are all in good condition.

Staff is very very friendly. Make sure you are prepared to sit in that river for a good 5hours. As first timers we weren’t aware we could take our own drinks, snacks and music. Make sure to buy drinks before hand because there is nowhere near to buy any. Deff a great place to go too!

Don’t go too late because you will get stuck. No current happened to us last night. They should let people know I don’t go past certain time.

I'm not going to complain about the price increase, I've seen a lot of that, it is what it is. So, to the good stuff...I don't get out much with being a single mom, choosing S&B to go on a mother-daughter adventure, was fun! The crew was friendly and informative which is of course is appreciated!!
