Small parking lot. Huge selection of cheese. Also vary milk, dairy based dips, beef sticks and jerky. And of course Kemp’s ice cream. We were the only ones there and then a swarm of people came in, busy place!! The staff did a great job getting everyone thru before their ice cream melted!! Would’ve given 5 stars but we stopped for squeaky cheese curds but they were out :( we did purchase caramels-soft and creamy, cinnamon apple jack cheese- strong and couldn’t taste apples or cinnamon, smoked string cheese- not a fan, and beef jerky- fresh.

If Abbotsford has anything to be proud of, it is this small local ice cream shop. I remember coming here as a kid and enjoying the tasty flavors, with cotton candy being my favorite. Let’s keep the shop in business!

Best ever. Ever since I was a kid and growing up in Medford Wisconsin I looked forward to stopping here along the way to Wausau or Marshfield. It’s only gotten better with its daily made cheese and amazing selection of hand scooped ice cream. Do you want true Nirvana? If so, stop at this place in the summertime get a big scoop and sit outside on the bench to enjoy. Now you’re living!

The cheese curds are really delicious and extra squeaky. This place is definitely worth a stop if you are driving by; not much out of the way. They have frozen pizzas, ice cream, cheese, meat sticks, sausages and more!

They have the best ice cream! I’ve been stopping here since I was a little kid and the ice cream and service is always top-notch. Great selection of cheeses too! Their prices are also very reasonable- the kid’s size is massive and less then $3.

This was absolutely disgusting! Pulled the stuck down strawberry and put it on top of the mint chip and contaminated the whole container. Ever hear of Listeria? You're going to get people sick, or worse.

Can't say enough about their ice cream! We live near Oshkosh and they are the only licorice chip ice cream that I have found. Worth the drive Everytime. Oh the rest of the store is nice too. Good cheese, sausage, and snacks galore. Very pleasant staff, always smiling and helpful. But go for the ice cream it's something you do not want to miss.

They have some interesting and delicious ice cream flavors. That alone is worth stopping in for. They also have a pretty impressive selection of cheeses. You want some fifty year old cheddar, they have it. The cheese curds are worth a try, especially if you gotta have those fresh ones.So you're into finding places with different random giant objects everyone can get a picture with, scrapbooking type. Giant Pink ice cream cone, perfect spot to stop on the way.There is a selection of meat sticks that's worth a look. They are always fresh, along with the loved classic meat sticks and some new to try.They also sell cold drinks, little travel gifts, and trinkets.

Great service! The workers are super nice and know how to joke around and make customers feel welcomed. I come here often and know all the workers well by now. The ice cream and cheese are amazing. They always encourage to try something new! Love this place!

Best dairy in WI. I've been coming here infrequently for two decades now, and their cheese curds and ice cream are the best. Their cheese curds are both the tastiest and squeakiest I've sampled.My only complaint is that my favorite spumoni ice cream flavor is rarely in stock. If spumoni were a regular, I would be too!

What a great stop! The icecream was some of the best I've ever had. They also have other snacks and items like maple syrup, beef jerky and cured meats. The gift shop in the back has some great vintage items and magnets.

My grandparents used to take my brother and I here when we’d visit as kids and it’s become one of the best places in my mind— so many awesome memories and their ice cream is so good!! Definitely a nice place to take your kids or grandkids! So many cool flavors and different things to try there!:)Just recently visited with my boyfriend and he loves it there as well!

Ice cream cones are large and delicious! Also worth stopping for the large variety of cheeses. My favorite is a cranberry cheddar. Friendly staff, I highly recommend.

My favorite cheese factory! Only place I have found smoked Swiss cheese and aged Colby cheese. I do wish they aged the Colby longer, another 6 month would be perfect. Oh and the ice cream and cones so yummy.

Excellent Kemps ice cream with 28 flavors to offer and very affordable prices with great selection. They have even better cheese in my opinion and an okay gift shop area as well. Highly recommend to get off of 29 and stop in!

Great small business. Products from Wisconsin. Huge variety of items but they are predominantly ice cream. They always seem super understaffed or underscheduled. Allow extra time for your visit.

The ice cream here is amazing!!! It is a tradition to stop here on our way up north. Every summer we stopped here. Whenever I have to go to Wausau, I stop here to buy ice cream. Look for the giant ice cream cone outside and then come in for some great ice cream. To be honest I did not even know the name of the store till recently. Which just shows the store is so good that the name is secondary.

Prices are a little high but you can find different cheeses here, where you cannot else where. Namely good strong brick. And REALl cheddars

Love this place! I have gone here all through my youth and now I take my kids. Wonderful selection of ice creams. The cheeses are to die for. And that's only part of its charm! Always clean and employees friendly. I will always recommend Hawkeye!
