If I could give them no stars I absolutely would. Laughing at an older man, who is walking around barefoot and asking for shoes, is disgusting and cold hearted. The people who work there obviously have no sense of human decency. The cameras need pulled and those employees need to be terminated, why work in a place where you should be showing compassion if you have none. Of course it’s also probably high school kids, who these days, aren’t taught to care about anyone but themselves. Such a shame. Don’t shop here, go to Gabe’s. I can list a whole lot of thrift stores that treat people better than Goodwill does.

I gave a 1 star because I couldn’t write a review with O stars. The Weirton store is overpriced (for stuff they get for free)! And to not help an elderly person (or anyone for that matter) when they come in asking for help??? I thought this was a charitable organization. My money is better spent elsewhere.

A man about 79years old asked for a pair of shoes for free as he had no money and was walking on foot. Workers looked down on him with disgust and told him to call corporate. He was holding a basic pair of tennis shoes. Luckily another good hearted customer bought them for him as I would have. They get these items for free and refuse to help someone in need because it didn't benefit them. Soooo sad. I would never donate or spend a penny there in the weirton location

i havent been there since the summer and i felt like things were severely over priced then. My birthday is on the 11th of Feb and i planned a day of thrifting and antiquing with this place being first stop on my list. after reading reviews about further price gouging in the last few weeks I WILL NOT ever go back. im so disappointed to find out the things ive been seeing all over tiktok has now infultrated my local store. last summer was the last bit of buisness youll ever get from me. off to ohio!!

No video games they send all their high priced stuff to their auction website and the north carolina video game store so I can't find cool stuff there anymore oh and they get it all for free so they shouldn't expect asking price for stuff online

ALL CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THRU!!!! I was actually SHOCKED yesterday, when I went into the GOODWILL in Weirton, West Virginia and saw the pricing...CHARGING AS MUCH or MORE for a DONATED item (example:YOU RECEIVED FREE!) I would actually pay LESS in retail store BRAND NEW! REALLY!!!!! I actually took pictures of different shirts, each having a $20 price tag!!! A tank top around $7.00!!! Shoe prices around $10.00!!! and ALL GO UP from there!!! Again, let me remind: AT GOODWILL SECOND-HAND STORE!!!! (I will be MORE than happy to send you or anyone the pictures I took of items and pricing). The color of the week (where you would get half off that color tag price) you TOOK AWAY... GONE.. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.. DONE AWAY WITH that program!!! IF AND ONLY IF you are TRULY in the business to HELP people... than you SHOULD and WOULD KNOW that you would make ALOT more money toward a GREAT CAUSE, IF ITEMS WERE AT THRIFT STORE PRICES!!!! These are donated at NO COST to you,, so I know with 100% certainty that there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for these astronomical prices! I will NOT BE DONATING or BUYING ANYTHING from this store again! I saw a lady who was buying a coat get TURNED AWAY because they didn't have enough money!!!... When you received that coat for FREE!!! A coat to keep warm!!! We need to take a stand, for OUR FAMILIES. Salvation army gets my vote and they HAVE ACTUALLY HELPED INDIVIDUAL FAMILIES by GIVING them clothes, food, and helping with bills, etc, when in need... My house burnt down and I had 4 kids to feed, put clothes on their backs, and shoes on their feet.. I did come to GOODWILL for help and answer was "NO" your business does not help in this way, and i had NOTHING. Against my better judgment, I went to buy at your store once I got back on my feet ONLY do to ur services (for your campus programs only... apparently NOT the blue collar worker trying to keep electric on while putting food on table. HOW ABOUT OUR FAMILIES THAT NEED HELP ESPECIALLY IN THESE TIMES!!!! I hope this review is printed and not taken down because this is something we all need fixed immediately. Please DO NOT patronize me by inviting me to see ur campus and services you provide (I have seen offered a tour in regards to other complaints) I do hope this review will open your and everyone's eyes. This place sucks, mr goodwill is all about the money, my daughter donated her beautiful wedding dress and matching purse, in hopes for the less fortunate, after donating, went in next day, dress 150.00 and purse was 20.00,, that is just wrong on every level, you do nothing for the community, from now on salvation army it will be, for they help with everything and are extremely cheap, shame on you.

Used to be good and have good prices and I would drive 30 mins to come here and checkout selection. Guess they caught up with corporate because they are only a few dollars cheaper than new. No longer truly a thrift store

I used to love this store but they have completely changed over to outrageous prices. I go weekly so I have seen it first hand. Used sweatshirts start at $9 now when they used to be $4Men’s polo shirts start at $8 when they used to be $3 There is no reason for these price changes except for greed and stupidity.I can find new ones at Old Navy or many other retail places for that price. The racks are so incredibly full making it even harder to buy stuff because no one is buying because the prices are ridiculous.Does goodwill corporate realize where this store is located ? It’s not in some big city with lots of money.I don’t want to hear the canned response about how the money goes to their mission. If the clothing was priced a littler cheaper they would sell ton more. I saw employees taking several carts to the back of the half price color they can’t sell because even at half price the things won’t sell. I used to spend $50 a week there. Now I spend ($0 to $20 ) how is that making more money for goodwill.

I know Goodwill employs people with disabilities but whoever is pricing this stuff is MENTALLY disabled bc they are INSANE. They are out of their minds w their expensive, insulting pricing. They must think residents of Weirton WV are rich. I dk if they have any awareness as to the economic demographics of the area this store is located but geez.... totally insane. Also thanks in advance for the canned reply about all your programs/"market values"/etc. You are full of it and whoever is managing this store is out of their mind.

I have been shopping at this Goodwill location for many, many years! Every time I visit, I have a great experience. Some of my favorite items over the years, have been purchased. I love vintage items, brand names and cute unique clothing! I always find something!🙂

Being a Charity, along with majority of things if not All items being donated to this Organization, have prices above retail stores .... Why give your stuff to a Charity that the CEO /owner is only worried about his pockets being full instead of the folks that he claimed he wants to help ?Ignorant! Folks shop there in hopes to clothe themselves if not the entire family on a budget that is not even close to the Trillions the CEO is making their self, SMH shame on y'all period. WOW

✨Always a treasure can be found here!😊Whether it be like-new clothes, purses, & shoes, glassware, elegant decor items, whimsical bric-a-brac, etc. So many brand-name items my shopping companions & I have discovered over the years here at this WV location🏞...and incredibly cool and impressive vintage-vibe items of every era & material that exemplify both the Light Academia and Dark Academia aesthetics.✨Old is Gold and New; so true!👏

Could be my imagination, but they are becoming more and more like a retail store. I.e. --book prices are increasing everytime we stop in. How much trouble is it to stock a book? Paperbacks were $.50,then $1, then $1.50 now $1.99, and more. Hardbacks are $2.99 and up. There's not much training needed or reconditioning, etc. to place these on the shelf. Clothing also seems to have been increased a good bit. Some items are not much lower than Walmart prices, and their clothes are brand new.

I used to LOVE Goodwill. But you can find brand new items at half the price they are charging these days. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I even found clearly USED items with the original tag still on underside and Goodwill was selling for the same amount. Considering nearly all of their merchandise was donated for free, it should be criminal to charge what they do. Guaranteed I will neither donate to any Goodwill again nor will I ever go back!!!

Small store I tend to visit in search of odd mic nacs, usually leave empty handed and find it quick to look through. They seem to keep up with it well though and have friendly staff that tend to greet you as you come in.

Prices on clothes r alil highier than others,i was disappointed n i dont know why they did away with the 50% off on all donated items on last weekend of every month n also did away with the coupons used get n the mail .i know myself and alot of my friends stopped going as often as we like now that they took these away.

I bought a lazy boy, from the Weirton location and and found throughout the course of the day, that it is infested with bed bugs. I called the store and was told that, all of their products are cleaned and inspected before sale. I even have a picture of a male bed bug, in the underside of the lazy boy. Very aggravated with the staff and the quality of the service.
