As it is often the only store for certain things downtown Weirton, sometimes you have to stop in but the last year or so it has always been understaffed and low inventory on items. The workers that are there always seem to be doing their best but you can tell they need more employees. Not their fault.

10-14-23. As I entered the store, Bean greeted me with a smile and welcomed me back. I started shopping and found everything on my list without assistance. As I shopped today, I saw Brady and Autumn stocking shelves; they both smiled and asked how I was doing. The store was neat, clean, and well-maintained. I had coupons for Diet Mountain Dew and the famous $5 off $25 Saturday coupon on my account. At checkout, when Bean executed the transaction, the total was within a few cents of what the app said it would be. All coupons and discounts were automatically applied, and I left a happy, loyal DG customer. Thanks for having such a great crew in your employ at the Main Street Dollar General store in Weirton, WV. <310-21-23. I shopped the DG on Main Street today. Bean greeted me upon entry and offered help. As I started shopping I saw James stocking shelves. I could not find Scott Toilet Tissue and he escorted me to the item. Bean checked me out with precision and in a professional manner, smiling and making sure my visit was ok and I found everything. She ensured that I received my $5 off $25 discount along with other discounts. All was wonderful during this visit. Thanks Bean and James for a great shopping experience today :)10-28-2023. When I entered the store, Autumn greeted me and offered help. I returned the greeting. I did not require help finding anything. I noticed they had no 140-count Halloween candy in stock, while the store on Three Springs did when I went there afterward. I purchased two 35-piece bags and told Autumn about it. The prices on the items matched the website. I was fairly happy with my visit; I compensated for the lack of product to meet the $25 minimum for the coupon. The store was clean and organized. They were in the process of stocking since the DG truck had just been there delivering. (I saw the driver at Penna Ave Store, and he told me that was his last stop.) I was happy to see nine shopping carts available for customers. It looks like my DG cart retrieval Ministry is helping. I recommend this location and Autumn to family and friends.11-12-2023. I visited the Dollar General store today to use my $3 off $15 Coupon. I like this store because it is convenient to where I live and I like the employees. Annabett welcomed me as I entered the store and offered help. I needed no assistance finding anything because I knew where my favorite soft drinks were and the candy bar. I had the pleasure of meeting the new Manager at the store. I did not obtain her name, and she was not wearing a nametag, but the Manager was busily stocking shelves toward the back of the store. Annabett assisted me at checkout, asking if I found everything, and she also told me other customers saw some of their shopping carts were located a couple of blocks away from the store. Instead of going home, I spent the next 1.5 hours retrieving six shopping carts for them, which I do as a Ministry and public service for free. I recommend this Dollar General store to family and friends and will continue to shop here until we head back home to Myrtle Beach.12-9-2023. This evening, when I entered the DG on Main Street in Weirton, WV, AnnaBett greeted me with a lovely smile and asked how I was doing. I walked to the cat food area and found some kitty treats for our 22-year-old Calico cat. He only likes Temptations seafood, so I asked Everett to help me reach the top stock to retrieve the Seafood Medley. I also needed butter and found plenty in stock. I had a $3 off $15 coupon, and Annabett ensured I received my discount. As I left, they both wished me a good evening. I recommend AnnaBett, Everett, and the Main Street DG in Weirton, WV, to family and friends.

It was horrible a few months ago. Now since they did all the remodeling it's starting to feel like a regular store. If they can get were they have everything that you go there to get it will be back to normal I don't get so stressed out when I'm in there shopping.

Ever time I go in there the store is nasty and you can't find anything because people are stealing and leaving the empty packs and dollar general computer system goes on whatever someone buys it keeps a record were they are able to know how many is in stock so if everything is getting stolen they think they have plenty in stock so that leaves the customer that is there to pay for what they want they because to it's out stock. Plus there's a lot people who are only able to get there stuff there because it's the only so called store downtown and before someone says they have the bus to get around to other stores the bus only allows the rider to have 2 bags when riding. Dollar general needs to get some people who wants to work and actually do there job and start stocking the shelves instead of packing it in the back room and figure a way to get ahold on all these people who steals everything and get the isles we're maybe you can walk down them. It really makes no sense to me way they did that so called remolding and the customer still isn't able to get whatever they need it's just plain out terrible in there. The higher ups in the company they don't care because they still get paid the big bucks.

It's not bad in there they need to be allowed to have more people working there and where they can get the store cleaned up because it's constantly a mess when you go in there. And because they don't have enough people and the company won't allow them to have enough people to work there or give them the hours to work the stores constantly a mess they don't have their Freight up so there's nothing and you're looking for stuff to buy and they're constantly nothing you can't find it and besides that there's so many people still stuff from there there's always empty packages there on the Shelf itself and you never can find anything but the people that work there is friendly and they they just do the best they can because the company won't allow them to get overtime or even work 40 hours a week so they need to the corporate needs to decide something because that's story they can't they can't get caught up and it's really sad because they're running the front dealing with customers and trying to put all the freight up when she can and they can't do it

VERY EXTREMELY RUDE employees upon store closing time. I have stopped here several times and the same thing happens every single time. I usually have to grab something quick late in the evening because it is one of the few places open while I am driving home. This is the ONLY store that I have been a customer at that acts in this manner. I have been in there before when apparently there is 10 minutes until closing time and as you walk in the employees yell 10 minutes until we close. Not "hello, how are you" or "hi" or "welcome to dollar general" NOTHING but a rude comment as you walk through the doors. Tonight was like all the other times but I was in no mood to be treated this way. As an employee (Cole) walked up to, he said "we are closing so you need to come to the checkout now". I said "does the business owner know you are talking to guests this way and "kicking" them out of their store"? He says "well if you want to buy that stuff you will need go to the register now or you womt be able to". I say to him, its very rude the way you guys (employees) are acting towards customers and I will be sure to call the corporate office to let them know. He says well I can get you that number😳. I had to just stop talking before i lost it. So now at this point all customers are standing on top of each other (not social distancing) at the registers. Rude rude rude

Everything was disorganized, messy, bare shelves, narrow aisles, carts of stock needing to be shelves blocking some aisles. That seems to be the "design" of every Dollar Store I've ever been in, but this one was worse than normal. Won't go there ever again.

Employees are always rude, always make customers feel like they're a burden, never helpful and always concerned with themselves and what they want. An example, I walked into the store at 950 pm, past a smoking employee. He was standing in front of the doors smoking, threw his cigarette and loudly told the girl behind the counter that another one came in.. so I was a burden as soon as I walked through the doors. Between the two of them, I was screamed at to stop looking and bring my items to check out so they could go home, 7 times! I walked in at 950 and my receipt time stamped for 956, within 6 minutes while I grabbed a hat, scarf, and 2 other small items, I had to listen to them whine and tell me 7 times to leave. Closing time is 10 pm, I was finished and on my way to my original destination, kroger.. before 10. It is the first week of December, every retail employee knows to expect longer hours and not getting to close on time. I know this because I work retail myself and have worked customer service for 20 yrs, including Management! The way I was treated tonight was most definitely the worst I've ever been subject to but I can't say I was surprised as I'm never treated very well at this location anyway.

This location is always messy with too few staff. The line is always long. Most employees here are friendly and helpful but can only handle one task at a time and are being constantly pulled from register to stock as well.

This Dollar general is horrible.... Lots of stuff but it's just shoved everywhere. There's no originization and if people decide they don't want something they throw it places and it's never put back properly. The guy working was too worried about smoking as I heard him say he was going out to have several cigarettes instead of helping cash people out or cleaning up the store. There's boxes everywhere and step ladders sitting. TOTAL CHAOS AND FILTH!!!

Irritated walked clear from freedom way to load money on my card to get there and random customer tell us we could not go in because they was closed and it was only 8:30pm and store don't close till 10:00pm don't think it's right for a random person telling us we couldn't com I. And they was blocking the door's very upset then when trying to find a number to call the head person couldn't find nothing

I went to dollar general on main Street in Weirton to pick up a total phone card. The gentleman at the counter was changing the register paper. He took quite a while and then proceeded to check me out. There was a long line and the assistant manager was in back not even helping . The register tape got crumbled in the machine so he said he couldn't give me a receipt which I needed. He said I would have to speak with the assistant manager in duty. She said the only thing she could do was take it off my card which she proceeded to do again without a receipt. I then ask her if I cod buy another card and she said I would have to wait in line again after all that trouble that wasn't my fault. She was rude and did not give good customer service and I do not have plans on ever going there again to be treated in such a rude manner by a professional.
