The menu is okay to me….. def caters to a certain type of crowd which is totally fine, just not my cup of tea. The family member that wanted to come here loved it! I got a turkey wrap, my mother in law got a world peace wrap, the kids got grilled cheeses, my husband got a pork and sauerkraut dish, and my father in law got an Italian. Everything was good. I got an ice cream cone which was amazziiing. There was live music which the kids loved! No changing tables in the bathroom so that was interesting with my 1 year old. The dishes came out fast and fresh.

If you're in the Thomas/Davis area, a show at Purple Fiddle is a must. We've been here twice and always an awesome time. They were even open on Christmas Eve with some great music and food. Great way to show support for local artists and musicians, and they also get some pretty big names coming by. Highly recommend it!!

Super cute and spacious venue for live music! Menu is pretty simple, dessert and ice cream are above par. Staff gracious and hospitable. The surrounding area is wonderful and littered with bohemian shops.

Intimate and cool venue. Even when sold out, you don't feel it's overwhelmingly crowded. Great place to see your favorite artist/group, where you can have a more personal experience, surrounded by great people. One of a kind venue.

If you're looking at this place, you probably already know about it somehow. My wife and I spent one night in Thomas, WV. To get the full experience, we bought tickets to the evening show at The Purple Fiddle. It didn't matter who was playing or what the show was. The artists (Lua Flora from Ashville, NC) ended up being great and putting on a really good show. And the food we ordered that we ate during the show was also great. Go to Thomas, WV, spend the night, and go to a show at The Purple Fiddle!

Great atmosphere with a vast selection of drinks. The food menu is a bit limited and more like a snack but it's still good. I enjoyed the hummus which tasted delicious. They regularly have music concerts which provide a cool experience at night time. Loved the ice cream and owners were friendly. I sat in the patio enjoying the last days of warm weather and I would recommend it because it feels very relaxing. They have flowers and plants around the fence which feels like a garden. Give this place a try!

A really cool little gem of a place in a cool little town. Very intimate space for live music. Very good beer selection if you're into craft beers and such, my only suggestion would they add a few more domestics since they only have two.

The Fiddle has survived the test of time. I first came here in 2004 and the charm and soul is still there. The food and service is great and the music remains to be the highlight. Well done, John, for keeping the dream alive.

Great music and night entertainment Thursday/Friday/Saturday. They also have a large menu of specialty cocktails. Their food menu focuses on sandwiches. They do have a kids menu and ice cream bar. Their patio area is beautiful and perfect for brunch.

I come to this venue from time to time, roughly once or twice in a decade (10yrs). Since my last visit it has become more open with a minimalist approach. The stage is now in the front. That has not changed its appeal. Great place to drop in to see a live show or grab a bite off their small deli menu with an excellent selection of cold beverages.

A must stop for any music fan! Welcoming warm vibes, friendly staff and good music! I only had the hummus to eat and that was good - sorry, no pic but it was a pretty big serving with plenty of pita bread. I parked on the street about a block away but it’s an easy walk and there are some shops along the way.

Vibing venue in a tiny hipster town. Been there a couple of times now for different shows - looking forward to the next one. Stayed overnight at their attached hostel - felt friendly and super safe.

Wonderful place! Good selection of sandwiches and other food! The food is perfectly cooked and tastes great! The drinks made us happy too! The staff is friendly and the service is great! I recommend this restaurant to everyone who visits Thomas! Bands perform at the restaurant on weekends

Nice place in a small town. We stopped in for a drink and an appetizer before dinner. The homemade hummus is great! They had a really good selection of beer and other drinks. Live music was setting up to start later. Worth the stop if you're in the area.

Interesting little eclectic cafe. Love the decor! Menu was not quite what we expected, but had a couple local brews and an excellent hummus appetizer with a quinoa salad while sitting outside on the patio. Live music is a theme at this locale! Try it!

We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and what a great place for a quick bite if you are passing by! Friendly staff and simple, good food. Chicken salad sandwich was really fresh and tasty. Grilled cheese was nearly perfect! They have local brews on tap and a selection of local ice cream. Definitely an even greater place on the weekends with the live entertainment I am sure!

Tasty place for lunch in addition to the music scene at night. They were gracious when my one year old spilled some water and got us all situated. Must stop in Thomas when here to hike or ski.

Great place to watch a show, stop for a bite, grab a drink, get some ice cream, or do all at once! Free shows on Sat and Sun at 1pm. It is well known for bluegrass, folk, and country music. PM shows have a cover, but many sell out long before the doors open.

We stopped in for lunch. It was a little crowded, a little chaotic, but fun. You wait in line (which was almost out the door all through lunch) and someone at the cashier desk takes your order and gives you your drinks. Then you get a number and find a table. The food is delivered pretty quickly. They have a limited number of menu items but that helps them be efficient. Most of it is healthy, non-meat fare, though they do serve an Italian hoagie-style hot sandwich. After eating, you bus your own table. Loads of people were enjoying pints of beer. There was a live musician who-seriously- played *without pause* for the whole time we were there. He was really jamming and it definitely was a positive addition to the atmosphere. Indoor and covered outdoor seating was available.

This business is a model of Appalachian success. It has the largest selection of beers in the area. It is an excellent venue for a variety of musicians. If you are looking for an intimate Appalachian experience, The Purple Fiddle is a must.
