Low-key, very relaxed. The steak was a little overdone and spiced up. The frog legs were surprisingly good. Everything tasted fresh.I would definitely come back. I recommend ordering the steak bites which a friend had and were great.

Amazing food, very close to High Ground brewing- we rode over between beers (on electric unicycles, bike friendly but small hill) and placed an order for 8 people, takeout was east, no problem and all delicious! Good value and cool location.

I see all of these high ratings and wonder how? Not bashing the place but our experience was less than average. We ordered a meal with sides, but no sides were available yet charged full price for a seafood meal. Shrimp cocktail was "hot" when it came to the table. Shrimp cocktail is cold so it was nuked prior to come out which can cause illness to some. Salad ordered was full of core(white) lettuce. Soda was a bit flat too. on a positive note, the wine was great. there was a large party before us which we assume they received all of the side dishes, yet none was left at 6pm on Saturday evening. We will not return.

Place is located in the basement of what is/was a farm building. Musty odor - not a problem per se but the open back door has no screen letting in all kinds of bugs.Food was okay but didn't offset the atmosphere or farm to table experience unfortunately.

We were here from out of town for a few days and looking for a local place near Terra Alta for dinner. We found Sophie’s Serendipity, a small, local farm-to-table place and decided to give it a try. We’re so glad we did!! The food was delicious (best grilled chicken salad I’ve ever had). For the portion size, the prices were very reasonable.The staff was super friendly. The cook (I think he may have been one of the owners) kept coming out of the kitchen to see if our food was to our liking. Because he didn’t have the exact type of fish that my daughter ordered, he personally came out of the kitchen to tell her and even offered to make her something else if she didn’t like the kind he cooked for her. But there was no need —- She absolutely loved it!!!If we ever get back to the area again, we’ll definitely be back!!

So we recently encountered their food truck at an event in deep Creek, and the food was amazing. The steak bites were covered in a delicious peppercorn rub and the portion was huge. The pulled pork sandwich was a sweet and tangy delight.

We tried ordering appetizers or starters they were out of everything.Burgers very good, country potatoes very good, lam chops excellent, shrimp alfredo good, fries and cheese steak not as good. I prefer shaved steak over steak chunks on cheese steak. Salads very good.Very reasonable will go again

Fantastic, cozy, and fresh farm-to-table spot. Not just kid-friendly, but kid-welcoming! Sat by the fireplace and let the little one play with the various toys available. And the food is incredible! Best crab cake (and huge!) I’ve ever eaten. Everything was delicious, like I went we had grandma’s best home cooked meal. The owner was just the kindest host, too. A must-try if you’re in these parts! 😍

We had family in from Cincinnati recently. One evening we ordered carryout from Sophie's Serendipity. The menu is limited but the food is great. That evening we ordered scallops as an appetizer, fried soft crab sandwiches, and Italian sausage sandwich. All three were delicious. They gave you a nice serving of scallops for an appetizer. The soft crab sandwich was fried to perfection with a wonderful crunch and perfect taste. Who would have expected such a great fried soft crab sandwich in the mountains of West Virginia. The Italian sausage sandwich was not what I expected. It was much better. I was thinking that it would be your typical grilled Italian sausage link. It wasn't. Instead it was fresh ground Italian sausage patted out and fried/grilled like a hamburger. It was the best Italian sausage I have ever had. Kudos and many thanks to Sophie's Serendipity for such a wonderful dinner. We will definitely be ordering again SOON.

Ok, firstly this is not fancy dining. You’ll be dealing with paper plates and plastic cutlery. What you do get though is attentive, friendly service and good food. We had a burger (fries were a bit greasy), lamb chops, pork chops and salmon. The food was nicely spiced and the portions were just right. If you don’t want to drive all the way to Oakland or McHenry, you can’t go wrong with Sophie’s. I would come back here if we stay in the area again.

Service was good, food was OK. NY strip was thin and gray, no char, but edible. Baked potato was small, not baked all the way through and hard. My wife enjoyed her Ahi Tuna, and they have local beers on tap.

We came across this gem of a place on a road trip. Filet mignon was amazing and the best I have ever had! Lamb chops melt in our mouth. Prices were mind blowing inexpensive. THIS IS A MUST TRY!

I was with a party at 4:00 and everybody's food was fabulous the lamb chops were the straight lay down and die for. Also had wishes on this half shell delicious make sure you catch this secret hidden and tara Alta West Virginia
