Decent 1 night stay for a Hampton Inn. It was updated a few years ago, and starting to show some age. It is a small hotel, so the rooms are small too. And the breakfast area is much smaller than most. There weren’t many people there, so it was fairly quiet. But it is close to the road, so there is some road noise. Overall the stay was comfortable, bed was comfortable and shower had nice hot water. I would certainly consider staying again.The neighborhood itself is ok, the area needs some serious road work. Decent amount of restaurants and fast food in Summersville. Summersville Lake is beautiful! I came for the Gorge and fell in love with the lake too! Such a beautiful area!

Had to write this review just because the staff was immensely kind and warm! Felt very welcomed! We were greeted by Courtney( hope I got the name right) late at night when we reached. She had been there for 11 years so that reflects on how she really loves what she is doing! Not every hotel staff is this amazing!Then in the morning the wonderful lady taking care of breakfast was also very sweet.Loved my stay here. We went from NC to catch the snow and the views of the snow from our window was a delight!

We've stayed here a few times and it was better. I must say, my room was dirty. It didn't even appear that a vacuum had been run through my room between me and the former guest. Sticky spots on counters, faint smell of smoker in the air. Not good. Lady at the front desk was very nice and did follow through with an email so I have to say this was the best part. I don't love the location either, nothing around you unless hanging out at Lowe's is your thing.

It's overpriced for just a one night stay. 1 room with 2 beds for the four of us $170 for a Friday night stay. 630am Saturday morning, I got in the shower and literally had the water set as hot as it would go just to have "warm" water. It was on the colder side of warm, too! The 3rd and 4th people in our room had cold showers.Went down for breakfast and was chatting with some other people and they also had no hot water. The sweet little cook lady said the kitchen was the same.For the price we paid to stay, it definitely wasn't worth it!

I was a little skeptical staying in Summersville. As many know, it has a reputation of pulling travelers over for various reasons without leniency. However, this hotel was a hidden gem. The staff was very friendly (even the cleaning crew, who don't necessarily interact with the guests much). Our room was very clean. The room design is simplistic, in a good way. The simplicity is easier to clean. I didnt realize that pets were allowed here (i noticed several dogs). I did not hear one animal. The breakfast was great for a continental breakfast. The next time we are in need of a day break from traveling, I would definitely stay here again.

General Manager was extremely professional, she gets involved with every area of the hotel for efficiencies. I went in for an interview (not my maiden name posted to the review) and the manager impressed me probably more than I impressed the manager! It’s refreshing to know there is still management that will step up to make the company run efficiently!

LAST TIME staying here.Our room smelled musty, no ceiling fan in the bathroom, no toilet paper and the worst part was we reserved 2 rooms but one room had a broken door. So we couldn’t use it. We had to squeeze 7 people in one room. Legit the worst I’ve been to in a while. Never again.

Being a Hilton Honors member for a number of years, and have stayed at of a number of Hampton Inn properties, this place just WOW'D meI understand this property was just renovated about four years ago, very well done. This property is well maintained, evidently their's a lot of care and pride from the staff and management to keep this property well maintained. My current stay here has been great, I requested a room on the first floor near the exit, got it. Access to a variety of eateries and stores is great. Staff is always friendly and courteous. To that point, I believe it's just the area. Summersville has some of the most friendliest folks I ever encountered.

We arrived during our drive overnight and were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. We were greeted during our complementary breakfast by Joan who was very sweet and accommodating. Although we were only at the hotel for a few hours, we had a great experience! Thank you to all!

Checked in late on Tuesday 03/14 the two ladies at the front desk we wonderful, very personable and we had a few laughs.Breakfast was exceptional.This is now our favorite Hampton Inn.The ladies manning the front desk and taking care of the breakfast buffet are assets to your company.

The breakfast lady was delightful even when I made a mess of the waffle iron. The location was centrally located for shopping and restaurants. The hotel was nicely appointed. However, the key cards frequently failed to work and the toilet paper holder was quite rickety and the roll kept falling off. Otherwise a nice place to stay while traveling.

Room clean,beds and pillows very comfortable. The water pressure was great. My only complaint was that there was 1 shampoo,1 conditioner and 1 bar of soap to share between 4 ppl. Normally we always have our own toiletries however we were traveling 12 hrs before we reached the hotel and I failed to pull our toiletries out before packing them away in our luggage. When I asked the desk receptionist for additional shampoo she replied" there should be enough in your room." I explained there was enough for 1 person as my daughters have very long hair and she responded" well I'm not sure what our policy is with giving you extra."

This was one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. It was clean, the beds were really comfy, and it was a great value for the money. Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly!!

A fantastic hotel we have stayed at many times on long journeys north or south. The rooms are very simple and clean. The bathrooms are modern and also very clean. The breakfast is varied and has something for everyone. We are usually just passing through, but my limited interactions with the staff have always been positive. We will happily return on our next trip and it is well worth your consideration!

This is a great Hampton! Super clean room and friendly staff that got my bill right on a tax exempt stay for work. Good breakfast with standard items, plus a light yogurt option which I appreciated. They also offered to-go bags for breakfast.Only slightly negative comment is I was not acknowledged as an honors member and offered water when I checked in like I usually am at Hamptons.Overall great Hampton, would recommend! It is right in town close to everything you might want or need.

The room was nicely decorated. Very uptodate modern feel and look. Bathroom was excellent. Drained well and plenty of hot water and PLENTY of towels without having to go to the front desk for more! Huge plus! Front desk and breakfast employees were great and kind! Even packed my elder mom some road munchies. Thank you kindly.The only drawback was when we arrived it was at 8pm and in the low 20s outside. The room heat was off and registered 50 degrees when I walked in the room. I set it to 72 and it took a couple hours to get to the 70 range. Not really what I call a great first couple hours. However overall experience was great! If in need of this establishment I would revisit and do recommend for any traveler! Beds were great and comfortable.

I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Hampton Inn Summersville!!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating given for, quite frankly, the room. The pillows, comforter and mattress were as comfortable as sleeping in my own bed. The water pressure was perfect and the shower was relaxing. The carpet was new and felt it. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was kept warm.I loved the Christmas decorations throughout the hotel but mainly in the lounge where there stood a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree. Well done staff.

My Husband and I was flooded out of our house for several weeks and we stayed at the Hampton Inn and they treated us like gold. Front office staff was friendly and helpful at any hour. The breakfast crew was amazing and take pride in everything they serve. The rooms are very clean. Ive never seen such hard workers in a hotel...It takes team work to make all this happen! Good management!!! I would highly recommend to anyone.

The room itself was clean, but what makes a stay is the staff when you arrive. After driving more than 10 hours, and getting in late it was wonderful to be greeted by Courtney at the front desk. She was funny, courteous and immediately welcoming. Courtney is by far one of the best people I have met working the front desk of any hotel. I would come back here again just because of her attitude.

Was checking in after 8 hours of driving and realized the wrong location was booked. Stephanie was working front desk and was incredibly helpful with getting us a room stress free. As well was helpful when I couldn’t get connected to the internet. Some of the best customer service from her and the rest of the staff I’ve received in a while.

Updated review. When we last stayed here, the WiFi was horrible. However, they clearly completed the upgrade they spoke about last time. During this trip, WiFi worked great during this stay, so I'm improving my overall rating. The hotel continues to be well maintained and very clean. Staff is very friendly. Location is handy too, right off 19. Hands down, this is the best option in Summersville (no comparison). They seem to be offering their normal breakfast now (you never know with all the COVID restrictions). The rooms are a bit snug, especially if traveling with the family (likely due to the age of the building) Cleanliness was great throughout. Breakfast is your typical Hampton Inn offerings.

Clean, updated with very friendly staff. I travel all over and stay at a range of Hilton brand hotels. This one beats many of the luxury Hilton hotels with the condition of the amenities and service oriented staff.Rooms: Modern, updated and clean. Beds and bedding were very comfortable and fresh.
