Well, I'm finally finished giving any more money to this place. Normally, I need to hold my nose when I buy anything in here due to the astronomical prices. Airport liquor prices are cheaper than this place. Today I purchased a bottle of bourbon and noticed on the receipt the amount was $2 more than it's marked on the shelf. I informed the girl sitting behind the register about this (her attitude definitely demonstrated she did not want to bothered with my question) and she tried to convince me this was the tax...SMH. I truly fear for our future generation. The two taxes were clearly indicated under the bottle's price, which I tried to explain to her. She then asked me to bring her the bottle so she can scan it again. She said the price I paid is the correct price and the bottle is marked incorrectly on the shelf. I asked if they were going to change the price tag on the shelf and she said she's not in a position to do this, her manager will need to change it, which I understand. But sorry, a reputable business with competent staff would credit the customer in the interim. I wonder how many other bottles in the store are marked incorrectly? If I had the time, I would have asked to speak with the manager, but this experience was a blessing in disguise to remind me never to give this place anymore of my money. For anyone in the Shepherdstown area, do yourself a favor and make the drive to Hagerstown or anywhere else to purchase liquor. You'll save yourself a lot of money and frustration.

Pros: Kind staff. Good selection of beer & liquor, aside from not having gallon sized bottles. Nice clean store, very organized.Cons: Very overpriced. I don't know how they managed to be more expensive than Maryland liquor prices, but I was shocked at how expensive everything was.Overall: Clean, kind, convenient. I'd definitely go back, but maybe not for hard liquor.

walked in and the first thing i see is the girl at the counter look me up and down and make a face like????? then i thought there was a glass on front of the shots (like most liquor stores) and she’s gonna say “yea you can get it yourself” listen. idk how y’all were raised… but you talk and act a certain why when you’re at the job YOU applied for. tell her to do better.

Walked into the liquor store on the phone, trying to find a good bourbon. Halfway through searching, I get asked for my ID, I shared it with them and asked “I have to have an ID just being in the store?” No problem, I get it out and show them. After selecting the bourbon, and my mother in law got her seltzers, two people behind the counter said they couldn’t sell to me because I was “on the phone.” If that’s a rule, a.) either advertise on the door so people know right when they walk in or b.) give them the common courtesy to end their conversation. Y’all lost a customer, and I’ll make sure so share my experience so others know to avoid as well.

Though the staff is usually very busy always have time to help us find something. Very courteous. Store itself neat and organized.I actually drive out of my way to go to Shepherdstown than closer in Charles Town. Staff even help to carry your purchases to car!!

Been in here a few times. Compared to any other liquor store in Jefferson county their selection is far and away the best. Their prices though can be a bit steep for items that you could get anywhere, so if it isn't a rarer find maybe shop elsewhere. Staff is friendly and the store is clean. Will definitely be back.

This place is wonderful. Sizeable inventory with a rather large variety. The prices are also the most reasonable I've seen in a while. Not to mention, the staff is courteous and kind. Personally, the wine selection has my heart.

They actually carry a very nice selection. Have noticed the one vodka went up by a $1 due to it being the best flavor. Which is okay however not really cool. Its the one that sells the best. Of course

Used to be a friendly place with the original owner. I just was rejected a purchase because I had cash and the kid at the counter said "I know its a little early, but we started card only already." Meaning I couldn't make a purchase with my cash. What a lazy business model...just count the drawer after close 🤦‍♂️

I really like this place. The selection is great, the people are helpful and nice. The wine selection is a bit limited, but they can order whatever you're looking for.

While visiting my in-laws Shepherdstown I wanted to get a bottle of Taylors Port Wine. It's sold in just about every grocery store where we live in Northern Virginia. Anyway after calling several places around Shepherdstown and asking if they carried this wine I got several different responses. Like I think so I'm not really sure. Two stores actually said yes we sell that. Unfortunately after going to these stores I found out that they didn't carry it. I happened to call this place and I'm glad I did. I won't mention the person's name but he said I'm pretty sure we do but can you hold on while I put my hands on it. After about 10 seconds he came back to the phone and said yip we have three different size bottles. Abvisly I immediately drove there. The same person waited on me. He acted like I was his best friend. I've already told my in-laws here to start going to this place. I went back a few days later and the same person not only waited on me again but he actually remembered me and what I wanted. Great customer service. If I owned a business around here I would definitely offer any of these guys a job.

This well-organised wine, spirits and beer shop has a bit of everything, and a more than respectable selection of bottled wine from quality vineyards, including smaller brands and undiscovered countries like Bulgaria.Staff are stellar, friendly, personable, knowledgeable, low-key.

I've visited here a handful of times and I am never disappointed. Most recently a friend of mine wanted frozen drinks, pina colada, margarita, and strawberry dacari, so I swung in for some rum and tequilla. The owner met me at the door offering assistance with a smile and when I told him I was looking for alcohol of fair quality, but not top shelf for these types of drinks, he pointed me to a Captain Morgan rum and an off-brand of tequila that he swore was better than the high priced stuff. You can't argue with service so openly biased towards your satisfaction rather than making an extra buck. There are other places in Shepherdstown to buy liquor, but you won't get the excellent selection and service that you do here. I'll definitely keep coming back!
