Food was decent but service was not. Felt like I was intruding by ordering. Most of the employees I interacted with were not friendly and seemed frustrated that I was there.

BY FAR THE WORST…… spent $43 dollars on what…… ordered mine and my two kids food and ice cream. 2 mini blizzards, chocolate dipped cone, chicken strip basket, kids meal chicken strips, kids meal cheeseburger. Took 40 min plus and they made our icecream like 10 minutes after ordering our stuff and we had to wait a good 30 or so minutes for our food ….. got my kids buckled in to look in the bag they completely forgot the kids meal chicken strips and put a box of tater tots instead…. Went in they gave me anotherrr bag of tator tots plus the actual kids meal we ordered…. Got home my seat was drenched in grease along with the bag and whole box of tator tots, my daughter asked for MEAT AND CHEESE on her CHEESE burger and all she got was meat…the place was a wreck and they need more help bad.

I always have a good experience when we come here. We use the Drive Thru service. Our orders are quickly served and correct. I bring my dog to get her pup cup and she loves it!! My car not so much she makes a mess. However the people who work here are always courteous and professional. This place is about a 15 minute drive and their is a closer Dairy Queen but this place is my favorite.

This is the sandwich i got and it was supposed to have no lettuce on it. Horrible service, the kids that were working today were to busy dancing and goofing off instead of making sure the orders were correct.

Went through the drive thru. Person taking the order was in a hurry, didn’t let us give our complete order. Ended us with a total. Gave us water with the lid not attached, water went everywhere. Asked for salt on my French fries. Didn’t get any salt. When questioned about salt, was told they don’t put salt on the French fries. Asked for a receipt, took forever to get one. Poor employee performance

I went through the drive thru window. We ordered a milkshake and a blizzard. Sat in line for over 20 minutes. When we finally got to the window our milkshake was melted to the point it was chocolate milk and the blizzard almost fell out of the cup when they turned it upside down. My husband told the young man at the window that the milkshake was melted. The employee said, "Well it is a milkshake." To me that was rude. Not sure if we'll visit this DQ again.

Unless you are getting ice cream products, don't bother. The grilled chicken sandwich was so tough, I couldn't eat it. The crispy chicken salad was ok, but had quite a few white chunks of lettuce. The water dispenser, soft drink dispenser needed to be wiped down, as did the tables. And the floor was sticky. Bathrooms were ok.The only reason I gave two stars, was because of the friendly staff member who waited.on us immediately.

Ice cream was good but took WAY too long. We went through the drive through on 7/25/2020 and it took 24+ minutes (from the time I actually started counting) for us to be served and receive our order. Next time, we'll go next door to McDonald's for our sundae.

It may seem weird to rank Dairy Queen as five stars, but this location is like the original with food, cakes, and the whole shebang. And the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Felt like a throwback to simpler times.

My wife and I stop in every Friday and the employees are always pleasant. Food and ice cream is great and comes out quickly and correctly. Whole place, including restrooms is always very clean.

Paid for 2 mystery quarts got 1.25 mystery quarts. The mystery isn’t how much ice cream can you fail to put in the container and charge me for. If it didn’t take 30 minutes to get it in a 5 car line I would have gotten back in line and asked for another one but the line was out to the road so an hr later wouldn’t have been worth it.

My family always loves to get all our ice cream cakes from Dairy Queen. One of the things I love is you can either pre-order them or you can pick one out from a large selection of cakes. The cakes come in 2 sizes that are a circle and they also have rectangular cakes. The staff is always helpful.

Bought a cake for a family memeber's birthday. I made the mistake of not checking the price on the cake while they rang the order up. I just grabbed her favorite kind and left - got home & found I was charged 25$ for a cake with a sticker price of $17.99. Tried calling the number over and over and over - no answer. No voicemail. I'm going to have to drive all the way back out to deal with the issue because of lack of management. Noted as well - while I was in there, it was completely dead. 2 people were inside eating, employees were literally standing leaning on counters with their heads on their hands sitting and watching us get our cake rang up, but yet they can't answer a phone!? Now our plans are disrupted because of how complicated it being made to address their mistake. Ridiculous.

They’ve been rather inconsistent both in service and food quality. Sometimes they’re great - fast, friendly, good food... but other times they have poor customer service, very slow drive-thru, and not great food (like giving me an mnm blizzard with almost zero mnms in it, for instance).

My husband and I came through the drive thru tonight to grab some blizzards since we love Dairy Queen! We where very disappointed in our blizzards!! My husband ordered a large cookie dough and I a small s’mores, neither of them had any amount to the toppings. We ate vanilla ice cream that’s it’s! Very upset and we come there a lot! Not so much anymore! I guess 8 pm is too late to come get an amazing blizzard when the employees don’t even want to give you what is needed in each blizzard!!!

The wait at the Shepherdstown Dairy Queen drive thru for them to take your order is usually a while before they ask you what you would like. If there are cars in front of you don't plan on even getting your order taken any time soon. The ice cream is basic Dairy Queen ice cream, it's good. The staff is not of the best quality, it's usually vacuous teenagers. Their cheese burgers are soggy, but the fries are great. So, if you want basic ice cream, that is a little over priced this is the place to go. McDonald's next door has cheaper ice cream that is almost as good.

What an odd DQ. The website says open till 11, google says open til 10 and us in the drive thru lane at 9:03 are told they are closed as we watch the two vehicles in front of us have their order taken. I shouldn’t be surprised considering some of the questionable ingredients I’ve gotten from there. I stick to plain cones - avoid the banana split

The staff is rude, they have had my order wrong on more than a couple of occasions. When I point out the my order is wrong, the person at the window gets an attitude and says "well, that's not what I heard" or something else uncalled for. McDonald's is next door and they have ice cream that is cheaper, with better customer service. Save your money, don't go to Dairy Queen in Shepherdstown, unless you like getting your order wrong and dealing with rude teenagers.

Waited a long time to take my order, pay, and receive order. (Drive thru)They almost dropped my debit card, almost dropped my blizzard. (Outside of the car)Ordered a chocolate malt. With no toppings. They put whip cream on it. I said it was wrong. They just scrapped the whip cream off in front of me.Very unprofessional. No care for quality. My blizzard was in a bag. Normally they turn it upside down to show it doesn't fall out... this was hidden in a bag with a lid because it was melted.Final statement.If you are reading this and you're thinking of going here. Don't bother, go to McDonald's next door for desert. Trust me. I will no longer go to dq again.

Worst Dairy Queen I ever been too. Worth driving to Ranson. They almost always will mess up your order in some way or forgot a topping on ice cream and then have an attitude if you politely ask them to fix it.
