Winston had the BEST time at his first overnight visit at The Pet Plantation. 🐶The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the grooming services are very reasonable pricing wise. Boarding is only $35 a night for Winston’s size, and even with additional grooming fees it came out to much cheaper than we anticipated.We had a little scare when Winston came back with potential limping, and the staff and owner contacted us immediately to see what was going on.( It did turn out Winston was faking it to try and make his parents feel bad for leaving him! ) I was incredibly impressed with the staffs care and knowledge on what was going on with every dog under their care. Winston is still a pup, only six months old, and we can’t wait to bring him back for more daycare and overnight services to help him become a more social little guy!I highly recommend The Pet Plantation.

We LOVE Pet Plantation!My Cavapoo, Tilly has been going to stay with Amanda and her staff for almost 3 years.We also use Chrissy for grooming.I can’t say enough about how professional but personable everyone there is.Tilly absolutely pulls on her leash to get inside and literally lays on the door for me to open it when we get there!She is always greeted warmly and when I pick her up from boarding she is always clean and relaxed!Chrissy does an amazing job and my sweet “doodle” always looks like a “doodle” after her groom. Best haircuts she’s ever had!I really can’t say enough positive things. Thank you Pet Planation for giving my best friend Tilly a safe, happy experience!

I've taken my dog here for overnight boarding 3 times. 2/3 times, she did not receive all of her meals. The first time she missed a meal, I went off the schedule on their website and broke her food up into 3 meals a day. When they handed me one meal, I questioned whether or not I had given too many meals. The last time we took her, she was only there one night and I had only given them 2 meals (one for drop off day dinner and then breakfast next morning.) I wrote on each bag the date and which meal, very simplified. I picked her up at the exact time I had selected for pick up and the guy handed me her "dinner" saying that "since you're here early, here's her dinner." Confused, I asked why she wasn't fed cause it was ~3pm which means she had gone hours and hours playing hard with no food. The guy showed me the feeding calendar which did not show that she was offered any food. My poor dog was starving. I had to hand feed her 1.5 cups in the car immediately and she scarfed it down (very unlike her). I still give 2 stars because all the workers I've met are so nice and because they have (what looks like, you can't tour it to be sure) such a nice facility. If you're gonna pay the price they charge, the absolute LEAST they should do, is feed the dog. I am guessing they were understaffed, but still, there is no excuse for not feeding a dog and having no explanation other than "they must have missed her or forgot. " Sadly, I will not be returning.

Professional and friendly! Employees love and care for our English Labrador like she was their own pet. They call her by name when she comes to stay and she is always excited to see them. Five stars for The Pet Plantation.

We love the Pet Plantation! We have brought our dogs multiple times and each time we are so pleased. We have also had one of our pups get groomed while there and he smelled so nice at pick up! Staff is always friendly and they are great with communication. Our pups love their time there. Recently, one of our dogs had a medical emergency while there due to his underlying health conditions and the staff were incredibly caring and went above and beyond to make sure our pup received the most care, love, and attention. We 100% recommend them and will always be using them anytime we need a boarder or groomer. Cannot say enough good things about the staff here!

These guys seem yo be pretty great! My dog has been here twice for daycare, and seems to have so much fun each time! The people are friendly, the prices are reasonable, the rules appear to be adhered to, from what I can tell the environment is clean, and it seems a safe space for my pup. They even did a great job with his nails!My only wish would be for the installation of cameras so I can have peace of mind proof that my fur baby is having the time of his life while there.I will continue to take my fur baby to the Pet Plantation for daycare/play/socialization. They are reliable, accepting of feedback, and loving!

I am always very pleased with the care that The Pet Plantation gives my dogs. They always come home and are happy and appear well cared for. We do suite boarding but they always seem to get plenty of exercise and outside time. We drive from Huntington to use them for boarding because of the excellent care!

We typically have a dog sitter for our dogs when we travel, but we could not arrange for a last minute trip. We decided to try Pet Plantation. Even though our dogs did not pass temperament testing to be in group they took time with them separate from the group to play. They seem to have had a great few days and we will not hesitate to use Pet Plantation again for boarding in the future. The only thing I would have liked different is a little more updates. Perhaps using email or text to send pics and updates to owners instead of relying on Facebook post only.

We have been using The Pet Plantation for our day care and boarding needs for our rescue beagle Rumer, for over a year. We have been very happy with their services. Recently my husband had surgery and they accommodated us by allowing us an early drop off. Rumer absolutely loves going there and gets excited when she sees them (especially Amanda) I would definitely recommend them based on our experiences.

We have used this place to board our dogs for over a year.However, I believe their prices have gotten unreasonable.We went to the beach for a week and boarded our 3 dogs. Our Great Dane got a cut on her side from playing with our German Shepard, no big deal. However, nobody called to let us know, we found out when we picked them up. Then our Bernedoodle had his crate there and had puked in it, nobody cleaned it up so we have no idea how long it was in there with him.I called to talk to somebody about it and spoke with one of the employees and they were very nice. However, the owner never reached out to apologize, let us know the problem had been addressed with the staff,etc.You would think after paying almost $900 for the week and being a regularly returning customer an owner would care enough to contact someone that had a problem/complaint.I do not plan to use this business for boarding, daycare or grooming needs again.

I was so worried about boarding our new dachshund when we went on vacation. The staff was super friendly and professional, you could tell each one of them truly cared for the dogs and puppies in their care. Also while on vacation I went to their Facebook page and saw a picture of our baby, which made my day and even further eased my mind. I also had requested to have his nail trimmed, which they also did a wonderful job on. Yesterday I called because his nails needed trimmed again and gladly paid for him to stay a few hours and play with the others pups and have a cold treat. Most reasonable rates especially for the quality of service because I think I called every place around that boarded when we went on vacation. I highly recommend Pet Plantation and I think our pup Red does too.

My dog just finished an 8 day stay at the Pet Plantation. I was so happy with the way Taylor and her staff treated my pet. The place is very professional, clean, organized and the pets are well taken care of. I encourage you to send you pet here! It is an open-cage place where your dogs can roam free in the house and fenced in yard yet are safe and taken care of. Pet plantation, please add more photos to your website, the place is wonderful! I have tried other cage-free boarding and there were too many barking dogs and the establishments were small and not “home” like enough for my dog to relax. This place has plenty of room if your dog wants to relax quietly, away from barking and playing, or plenty of play space if your dog wants to take part in some fun! I will definitely send her back for our next vacation! Thank you :)

Our dog loves going to Pet Plantation. The staff there has been very friendly and easy to work with. They also have a more flexible hours of operation and allow daycare drop off as early as 6 am, which is a life saver for my wife and I who both go to work early in the mornings. I live nearby this kennel. They leave their dogs out at almost all hours of the day no matter the weather and blast their big bright industrial lights on their lawn, so thanks for the COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY light pollution, guys. Anyway enjoy leaving your pet here and knowing they’ll be left outside to howl no matter if its hot as hell, freezing cold or pouring rain!A dog also escaped from their fencing and mauling my neighbor’s chihuahua but i guess thats been kept pretty hush hush hasn’t it?Definitely not worth the price and im glad we have a good pet sitter we can trust so we don’t have to leave our dogs at this place!

I cannot say enough good things about Pet Plantation. A neighbor recommended this place for boarding and I was going out of the country for a week . My dog is 13 years old and blind and I was afraid she would be scared in a strange place . They placed her in her own room since other dogs can make her nervous and would stay in the room with her to make her comfortable. She has stomach issues and while I was gone they noticed one morning she was not feeling well and kept a close eye on her that day . The next morning the owner took her to her vet to have her checked out and kept me updated on her everyday . The staff and owner went above and beyond in taking care of her and I would recommend them 100%. Thank you Pet Plantation for taking care of Skittles !

I absolutely love the staff, my pup Zeek had busted blood vessels in his eye and some swelling, they took the time to use ice to help with the swelling and eye drops. I couldn’t ask for a better group young people to take care of my pups. I appreciate them so much.

Ignore my name "Cavs Overkill" my son is logged onto this computer and I don't know how to log myself in. I don't want to leave this review anonymously so you know my name is Mindy Dunston.I don't like leaving a bad review but feel that I must worn others of this place. The staff is friendly and the facility is beautiful. I expected my dogs and my friends dog to have a great boarding experience. The place was the most expensive we looked into but it seemed to be worth the extra money.We left our 3 dogs for about 29ish hours total, paid for 2 baths and the total was about $400. My basset hound came home with an injury to her back foot and she wouldn't use it. The next day she developed drainage in her eyes and it kept getting worse. We took her to the vet where the doctor was sure her foot with all the swelling was broken but took xrays and was treated for just soft tissue damage and diagnosed with pink eye.My second dog a few days later, my Saint Bernard developed a cough that just got worse. She was diagnosed with kennel cough.The next day basset started coughing also and had to be treated. I told my friend and she also said her dog had developed a cough.That is one night, 3 dogs, 1 injury, 1 infection, 3 sicknesses and over $400 dollars in vet costs.So one night of boarding ended up costing us a lot of time and about $800 dollars.
