A great little gas station and local restaurant right off the interstate. Grabbed a delicious simple pulled pork bbq sandwich with chips for $6. Daily specials and a much more substantial kitchen than you'd expect. Also a fairly large dining area, capable of seating 20 or so at a time.Clean bathrooms and a small convenience store selection supplemented with some locally baked/prepared pastries and assorted items. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy access to/from the interstate makes it a hidden gem stop on a stretch of road otherwise pretty sparse with gas stations and rest stations.

This place is fantastic! Gas, food, limited groceries, even pet food and vehicle batteries. Dine in or take out. The turkey sandwich is fresh and delicious. As are the burgers. Save room for an ice cream cone too! Enjoy your visit to this beautiful area and come sit a spell.

What a pleasant surprise this place is! Great burger and jalapeno poppers! Lots of snacks and goodies. Fresh homemade cheesecakes and other cakes and pies! Definitely recommend

A gem! Solidly good burgers, sandwiches, fries, salads, and all the rest - MADE TO ORDER - in addition to what's in the cold case for convenient grab-and-go! The staff are friendly, have an aura of competence, and I applaud the move to a more professional appearance (uniform tops, headgear) and approach, especially that staff knows the menu! An inventory of the usual "needs & staples," such as batteries, shampoo, canned foods and so forth are well supplied, plus a few WV/New River souvenirs and sweet foods from Fruits of Labor!! Suggestions to the owner: get your online presence going, especially on mapping websites. Get a sign on the highway and to your parking lot. You're so close to the exit, that sign should pay for itself quickly. Especially if you get your online presence up, up, UP! (Can your parking lot handle semi-tractor trailers?) But keep any website up-to-date. There's nothing that says "not doing well" than a website that's months, or years, out of date! It doesn't have to be every week, but at least once a month, do something to your site, such as (pretending): "March is pork month. Come enjoy our delicious BBQ sandwich MEAL and enjoy 10% off," or similar. Get ideas from staff and customers. They are fountains of ideas to improve and grow your business!

Great little spot to grab a bite to eat. We got the special, the Italian sub and it did not disappoint! Oh, and if you have a sweet tooth, the peanut butter cheesecake is ridiculously satisfying.

Stopped by last November to fill up on our way from Virginia to Illinois. Literally stepping back into a time I never experienced but wish I would've. The man behind the register was so friendly and conversational. We picked some food items for the road and will stop by on future trips! Should have left this review sooner...

Really quaint and cozy little place just off of the highway. Clean with welcoming staff. We stopped in on a blustery snowy day after missing our exit. I saw the store and I had to stop.The kitchen was closed that day but we picked up some good comfort dessertsand I made a note to come back the next time we pass through. I can’t wait to sit in front of the fireplace while eating homemade comfort food.

Really enjoy this place. Have stopped in several times for snacks and drinks. Also I have got food from their kitchen here and it has always been good. It is a great place to stop if you are on your way from the Sandstone Visitor Center to the Sandstone Falls to pick some stuff up at. Good selection of drinks and prepared foods, as well as food to order.

This is a must stop every time I visit Hinton! Right off the interstate and easy to find (it's a gas station as well) . They have the best homemade desserts (amen to the banana pudding!!) and so many old school items that I used to see at stores as kids. The staff is also so kind and has that southern hospitality!

I stopped in because I was in the area for work and REALLY needed the bathroom. I'm glad I stopped in. Friendly staff, cheap gas, clean bathrooms and decent food with huge portions. As another reviewer mentioned, it's like a camp store. A little bit of everything plus a dine in seating area in the back if you don't want to eat in your car.Someone mentioned that it's a CITGO station. All that signage is gone which makes me think they're an independent gas station now. Yes it's still pay inside but the gas savings are worth it.I found there to be plenty of snack options for the continuation of your trip.

Oh man, I cannot say enough good about this gas station and store. The overall feel took me back 30 years and was awesome. The ladies running it were fantastic. It had homemade food.options and was the CLEANEST gas/store I have EVER been in. I would just about make a trip to the area just because of that store. Wonderful people and place.

This place is not a 5 star anything. We got gas and grabbed breakfast which was a mistake. When we walked up it smelled good. The Biscuits and gravy was 100% the worst I've ever had in my entire life. The gravy was still chunky from the floor and no sausage. They put a tomato slice on top..... why. Staff was attitude was nothing special, the cook seemed mad. Oh I tool one bite and threw everything in the trash.

Love everything about this store. You have Trista who manages the store. Then there's Regina, Joyce, Leslie, Janet, and Denny, Michael and Layla who work the bait shop. Food is always good and fresh. Trista gets the desserts from Rainelle culinary school and Miss Janet also does a lot of the fresh baked cookies and pies to banana pudding and chicken salad. They are super sweet women and men. Know you by name and really love you and treat you like family and honestly I don't think I can ask for anything else because I'm a little bit of the same way with them and I have to admit that I have a good reason for it but I'm sure you will love the laid back and get relaxed because here your not a customer or dollar sign your family like it or not but you got no choice 😜. Just a great group of people and great food. Definitely check it out if you get a chance. It's worth it

No masks on employees or customers (other than me and my family). In normal times is probably a cute place to stop, but the callous lack of regard for others made me furious that we stopped here. I only stopped because my child really needed a restroom. Don’t stop here until you get the vaccine.
