Don't try to pre-order a birthday cake from Ronceverte Kroger right now. I ordered a customized themed cake off their website 5 days ago. Went to pick it up the day of party and it was never made. Hasn't even been a baker working there for days. Had to go to Walmart and get 2 generic cakes from there. Now I have a disappointed 5 year old who could have the cake he picked out. I know it's not a huge deal, but an email letting me know would have been nice. But they probably don't have the staff to do that either. #Walmart

Great selection of everything including many specially items, ethnic cuisine items and an amazing sushi bar. Excellent produce and meat department. Love the online order pickup option.

HELP! What has happened to my grocery store?From great to abysmal in three months. The place is filthy, unstocked, rotting produce, empty seafood and meat sections, NO SERVICE, lines 15 people long, flashing lights at the self-checkouts (with the most dysfunctional computers in 48 states). Yes, this is West Virginia, but folks. I used to count on this place, now I can't leave without cursing.

Out of some foods. The checkout lines were horrible! I tried they're self checkoutAnd it was a nightmare! I won't go back to this store. I hate Walmart but at least it's not as maddening as Kroger.

Decent store. A little outdated. This store does have a fuel center which is nice (cheapest gas in town even without the fuel rewards).

It's Friday at 2pm. Meat section is bare, produce much the same. If you don't use coupons or digital, prices are consistently higher than Walmart, which has a much better produce and meat selection. I've shopped Kroger for decades, but I am tired of their manipulative pricing and poor store organization. I consistently can't find items. Despite walking the frozen food aisles several times, never found raviolis. I'm finished with them.

Shame on your management for putting your employees in a difficult position when it comes to opening more registers! We waited in the self check out line for 20 minutes. Tempers were flaring with employees and patrons - this only made things worse for everyone standing in line. The line went all the way back to the pharmacy. This was noon time on a Saturday, July 8, 2023. Three small self-check outs open and two conveyor belt self-check outs, and one employee register. No one was at the customer service desk, which had to men waiting and asking why wasn't there someone to help them. Your employees are your most important assets and if they have to deal with not having the proper tools (more employees to help and more registers opened) they won't stay with your company long. Not to mention that it's bad customer service. This has been an ongoing issue with not having enough registers open.

I have used Krogers in the past but I think it's time to start avoiding Krogers stores. The checkout process couldn't be much worse. There are many self checkout lines and very few with cashiers. This wouldn't be a problem if the self checkout lines were on par with the competition stores. I find it almost impossible to checkout of a Krogers using my own reusable bags without having the process stop and require an assistant because it thinks I'm no placing items in the bagging area. The competition is doing it right so I'll be avoiding Krogers.

UPDATE! I guess you can't write more than 1 review on a company? This store has gone so downhill. For many months it had a horrible smell that smelled like something rotten, all over in the store, but it hit you as soon as you walk in. A cart boy or whoever he was, was taking trash out of the cans and putting them in a shopping cart and asking me if it smelled bad (it did!) Then asking me to describe the smell. (basically just trying to be funny? I guess? I wasn't amused) 1 day on my lunch break I spent 35 minutes in line at self checkout, because they had half the self checkout registers closed! AND half of those that WERE open, were blinking. Naturally, when I FINALLY got to checkout, and was ready to pay, mine began blinking for no apparent reason. The miserable rude woman that came over, push me "gently" out of the way. (Gentle or not, say excuse me, don't push me) Then she didn't complete her process, so when she quickly ran off and I hit the go back link, to pay, it began blinking AGAIN! The store used to be clean and have variety, now it stinks and doesn't have anything, nothing more than Walmart. No reason to shop here other than for fuel points, which I never get any way.

Store is typically clean and well stocked. They typically care caffeine free coke and Pepsi so that is a plus for me. With the membership card they have some great deals.

I just went to the store in fairlea. I’m sick and needed to get essentials. The one lane they had opened was so backed up that I had to do self checkout. After checking my things out and bagging my own groceries the clerk said have a nice day. I’m thankful I didn’t throw up while working for them then they would have had to work. Not happy with Kroger.

I prefer Kroger shopping. The only thing that I dislike is the fact that every time I shop, at least 1 item rings up more than it should. Same thing tonight, but I didn't feel like messing with it.

Why is there only one check out operating, I don't get paid to check myself out. Kroger's needs to get the check outs working. I'm not going to check myself out without getting paid to do so and I want the benefits also 😡

Check your receipts people! Second trip in a row getting charged the wrong price! Hate going to Walmart. Love getting gas cheaper.Update: 3 out 4 visits now with a trip to the service desk to get the price listed to match price charged. Private selection sub meat listed as 6.49. Charged 7.99. Is this intentional? Or ineptitude? Either way, check your receipts people!

I love shopping at Kroger as far as they always carry my favorite brands, etc. But this Fairlea Kroger, the workers there are so incredibly rude. Especially if you go thru self checkout and need assistance and ask whoever is running the u- scan, they sigh, roll their eyes, and put their phone down and mope over my way and trust they never get in a hurry. And it's not just one employee that's like this, IT'S EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE Girls that work up front, young & old alike. Oh and dont brother asking where something is at because they will tell you they don't know and you will just have to find it.

Easy access isles for food products. This Kroger's has a wide variety of fresh, organic and nonorganic variety of both fruits and vegetables. I notice this location in regards to produce options has a relatively normal to higher shelf life in comparison to other grocers both locally as well as back home in Florida. The employees at this location, in any department are OUTSTANDING helpful, kind and friendly. If I've ever asked a question they didn't know an answer to, they immediately went to find an answer for me. The store is always clean, the woman's bathroom, not so much. I feel the prices for foods we purchase are relatively far less expensive here than the local Walmart off the interstate in Lewisburg. I enjoy shopping early opening hours. During the flu outbreak, they have sanitary items customers may have and the store is always being wiped down. I have a personal issue with inability to wear face covering and nobody has ever questioned me. In fact, I was just in shopping this morning and know one of the managers from our shopping here over the years, he helped assist me with a pleasant voice. I can say the numerous times I've been in here during this flu outbreak that though I typically go upon opening, there's been a couple quick afternoon trips (*heavily crowded with customers) yet people simply tend to space themselves apart. There's definitely not a bad vibes or toxic environment from any one of the store employees. I love our local Kroger's here and gotten to know the friendly employees over the years we've lived here for schooling. Great environment with large variety and lasting foods. I, personally, own stock in an organic products co-op where I can purchase wholesale and tend to find their supplements at this store, always have some type of buy one get one half off and if you don't buy the other, the one you do buy rings up half off. Great Kroger pricing on their store brands as well! Thanks for the easy and helpful shopping experiences at this location.

Worst manager ever. I checked out today with blood all over my groceries. I understand that accidents happen, and they did refund me for the groceries. My 3 year old son was there with me and was exposed to who knows what though. I called back to speak to the store manager, Mr. Bernard, and I was made out to feel like the bad guy. First he told me that I was wrong to ask for any sport of credit for the issue. Next he lied to me about shutting down the register that had the issue. I know for a fact he lied about it because people continually went through the register while I waited on my return. Then he hung up on me once, and when I called back he continually blamed me for the issue. Then on top of it when I stated this will just be my last time shopping he said "good luck getting anything better someplace else, you can try Wal-Mart and laughed."I will never shop there again even though I usually went every weekend as my main shopping trip.

Kroger is my preferred place to grocery shop. Wide range of products, good coupons and sales. Friendly staff. Management is ALWAYS helpful. I would rate a full 5 stars if their baggers knew how to sort and bag properly. I ALWAYS have to ask for extra bags and sort my own at my vehicle. Things are randomly thrown in together. Bagging should be common sense.

Growing up going to Kroger was always a treat. Great customer service and great selection. Today I waited over 20 minutes for someone to blow up birthday balloons. No one came, no one apologized for the wait, and I walked out without my balloons. Your service sucks, Kroger. I won’t be back.

Store has gotten pathetic due to rude workers. Checkers making political comments, as well as telling someone who is involved in pig rescue to buy some delicious bacon. And then proceed to tell me how he butchers his own. Go to IGA, staff is much nicer.
