Store is easy to get to..has all I'm looking for and is comparable to all chain grocery stores..the cashier's at almost every visit has a sour attitude and not smiling or having common courtesy must not be needed to get a job with the public here.. because it is stocked with what I need and if you use MVP it' makes it a stop worth getting your grocery needs.

These employees are always polite, store is always clean, and well stocked. The parking lot well maintained and never have to worry about a cart not being available when I walk into the store. Keep up the great work Food Lion employees 😜

I try to write positive reviews, but this store (employees) are beyond ridiculous.My boyfriend (African American) and I had to stop in to pick up a Western Union payment and we stood at the customer service desk for literally 8-10 minutes while all employees, including the customer service lady, kept staring at us without saying a word.Then when she finally came over to us she says "what do you need?" No "hi" no "can I help you". Nothing polite. But whatever. Then we had to shop for a couple of items and people and other employees kept watching us, and one customer (not stores fault) stopped what she was doing and stared at him until he walked up to me.The whole experience left me feeling uncomfortable, I can only imagine how he felt.It's 2023 and he still feels uncomfortable walking into anywhere and it's prettysad ANYONE has to deal with any of that.Needless to say, we will be back, close-minded people aren't running us off.

Typical Food lion. Decent prices. Great sales after the manufacturer marked the item up. Very friendly emoyees. Need a club card but the cashier will let u use theirs. Shelves are pretty well stocked but running low on basic items like creamer, pasta, peanut butter....beans but they are always getting it in. Store is clean. No mask mandate.

Pretty standard food lion. Weekly deals can be very reasonable. Just keep your eye out. When on sale, meat prices cant be beat. There's always something on sale, lots of BOGO deals on a regular basis. Deli is good. Meat is good. Produce is good. Its kept clean. All around decent store.

I have shopped food lion for yearsIn Romney WV there is a few cashier that should be recognized for going above and beyond... I'm handicapped and one cashier puts my stuff on the counter for me and I'm on oxygen and get short of breath she pulls me up a chair while I wait and gets someone to load my groceriesShe is the kind of person you respect so much I've seen her do so many kind things for other disabled people and she is always so nice to everyone... I just love shopping there they do really have a good group of people working there...

I like Food Lion of course it's the only grocery store in Romney but their prices are very good the quality of their food fresh food is good you don't have to ring up your own groceries like to do at Walmart the staff there is very friendly and helpful

It’s nice majority of times has what you need employees are decent chill but generally keep to themselves sometimes there out of stock on animal foods and items but overall nice store but can be crowded due to the only grocery store around within less than a 30 min drive

I get my groceries from here, nearly every week. I order everything on the Food Lion To Go app for pickup. Accuracy and selections are perfect! Employees are always courteous and only once was there ever a mistake on my order, in 2 years. I call that amazing!

I hadn't been in this store for more than a decade because I moved away. I was able to find what was needed easily. I got in and out rather quickly. Only had to wait maybe a minute to checkout, cashier was friendly. Perfect trip! Update I visited again and was still very pleased with the service, selection and ease of my trip!

Most Food Lions left my area - this is the only fairly close one left. I miss Food Lion and when in Romney we always stop here.8/19/22Taking a over sized and very heavy chair to the transfer station. A natural stop is Food Lion. As expected nice people and fair prices. Light and airy shopping. I will always stop here.11/28/22Stopped today coming back from Romney - nothing has changed very nice people and prices a little higher but fair. The store itself well lit and well laid out.

Shelves were stocked nicely & place is clean. Employees are so kind & greet you as you enter. They count customers that enter & leave to ensure there's no too many inside. I enjoy shoping here. It helps that several people in the community are friendly as well.

Well marked, all employees masked, not super crowded - liked it a lot! Had a great selection of Father's Day cards. Cashier was polite and friendly overall it was a good experience.

It is a clean store. Not very busy usually. Decent selection but prices were a bit high. Also saw some Halloween and its January. Other than that its a good store cashiers were always nice and others helped if I needed to find anything.

Fresh fruits and vegetables! Store is clean and easy to get around. Their prices are great beats WM & doesn't walk a person to death No kids running around the isle's always have to be careful at WB. Bathroom is clean located in a easy to find location

At last we now have Food lion To-Go (curbside pickup) ! Used the service for the first time last week and everything went smoothly. Quick and Easty Pick-up. 4 stars because my milk was bad when I got around to opening it a few days later

I struggle between 3 and 4 stars, the reason I am giving 4 stars is the employees are very nice and the store is very clean. Why I would only give 3 is the seldom have what's on sale. Forget trying to get ice cream if it's on sale they always run out

The employees were very rude and acted as if I was a inconvenience to them by shopping there and asking where a item was located. The prices were much higher then walmart and to topic off when I was leaving instead of asking me to walk out the other door a employee rudly told me "Go to the other door if I wanted to leave". I'd rather starve then to shop there again.

Today was my first time shopping at Food Lion (Romney, Wv). When you first enter, you're greeted with bright lights, cool air, and rows of Checkout stations.You go to your right and you have a produce section. It's small and with about 6 people and carts in there, felt smaller, but the selection offered was a great variety and everything looked fresh and even smelled fresh (straight from the farm).Past that, you have the option to go among the aisles or shop along the back wall for your meats, milk, breakfast juices, and other dairy products. If you compare to other grocery chains, Food Lions aisles are shorter but that's not a complaint. In fact, I enjoy it. I hate going down an aisle and having to walk what feels like an eternity to get to the other end.Last section you end with, unless you head immediately left when you first enter, is the Deli. There is a large assortment of products they offer, among them is pre-sliced meats and cheeses for the consumer on the go. As nice as the area is, you could only have three people there with carts comfortably.I do suggest the store to buy out the next door store front to open the space in the deli and produce to feel it breathe. All in all, the experience is a good one. And, don't fret over the store being small and quaint. That's the charm that works for it.
