Dollar General gives a great view of their company from the outside looking in. However the company works you like a slave, for wages that are laughable.You have far too much workload piled onto you, with the company refusing to give the hours needed to have enough employees to complete tasks in the given time.I thought it was just a case of bad store management when I received zero training when starting the job, however I learned that it was the same everywhere when I talked with other employees from other stores.You are expected to have no other job than Dollar General, or risk termination due to unavailability, even when they cut hours down to under 10 a week.If you have issues due to poor management, lack of materials to complete a task or malfunctioning equipment

It's a great store with great prices on a large assortment of items. I gave 4 stars, because if you don't know where the store is, you will miss the turn from 50, because you can't see it from the road. They can undo this by simply adding a sign on the corner that days "dollar general, next right". I lived in romney for 6 years and missed the turn quite often.

Clean store, mostly friendly staff. Had a woman give me a dirty look for accidentally knocking something down (but I cleaned it up!). *Ive worked retail and know its frustrating when people just leave messes 😑So i try to not leave one, myself*. Other than that, good experience.

I love Dollar General, employees are friendly, helpful and with much respect. I love the Dollar General playstore Google free app, it provides sales, discounts, tons of coupons and savings and heads up on upcoming event dates of sales and super discounted items
