We held my daughters college graduation party at Short Story Brewing in Rivesville. Everyone had a great time. The food was delicious and they have an excellent selection of beers brewed on site. The staff is very friendly and did a great job of taking care of the guests. I highly recommend Short Story Brewing. Recently made a stop to Short Story. Such a great place to visit. Food was delicious and my husband enjoyed his beer. The employees were super friendly while answering questions and having conversations. The area was clean and relaxing. I loved the merchandise options which included Christmas bulbs, drinking cups and beanies. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing. We are from a Georgia and love microbrews. They had 4 delicious citrus hazy IPAs and other outstanding and tasty brews. Atmosphere is relaxing and honestly perfect. We sat outside. Staff is top notch..welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back! Food was also delicious!!

Update: they screwed over Chef Donnie and I won't be back. I've advised friends and family to avoid them as well.One of the most incredible dining experiences I've ever had, Chef Donnie is one of the best in West Virginia. You've got to try this food, it is absolutely worth the drive. We will definitely be coming back.

Had a wonderful meal at Short Story today, had the blue cheese hoagie, it was great. The Brewshetta was very good also, not a big beer drinker, but enjoyed the sampler! Would definitely go back. Service was wonderful!

Loved the selection of beer. Had the Turn & Fall, which was so tasty. Plus delicious pretzel sticks with beer cheese.Sat in the covered outdoor area. They had a projector screen that would make a great place to watch a football game or something. They had to built in heaters outside, so rest for the cold weather.

Had their Oktoberfest and Red. Nice place. Covered patio, outdoor seating, space for dogs, corn hole, bocce. Can’t say about the food. Didn’t stay for that.

The food was excellent and the beer never misses. It was my first time getting to try the Hot Italian Hoagie and the olive tapenaude was sooo good. Definitely recommend it! Love how creative they get with the IPAs, sours, and everything in between.

One of my all time favorite places to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Owners are very nice and there are always awesome new beers to try. Plus outside seating is super nice.

i give 2 stars mostly because of disappointing food experience.Outdoor patio is very nice - we enjoy sitting there. Perfect to go for a drink.However both our food choices were just not good. We had a hoagie and a salad and can not recommend. Their menu is relatively limited in choices but maybe they should slim it down even more and focus a bit more on items that they can make. Price was too high for what we got.

To honor the name I'll try to keep it brief. We go there often and are always pleased. Always. The food is some of the best we have had in WV. A little disappointed they have cut their menu size but we get it.On busy nights the parking can be a bear, but when it's that busy it's almost always worth trying one more go around for a spot as they get some pretty good live music.The crew there is top notch and their beers are good too. It should be noted that I listed their beers last. They are certainly good but nothing outstanding and their taps are dominated by IPAs and occasionally sours.

I have had various beers from Short Story previously, but had never gone to the venue before. On a whim I decided to check it out, and was more than pleased! The beer was fantastic, the wings were stellar (and the leftovers heated up great the following day). The staff was pleasant, the service was quick, and the beer was cold. What more could a man ask for?

Love this brewery. Friendly staff as all brewery staff. They came up with great ideas to keep open during the pandemic. Lovely outside area. Country drinking at its best. Cows on the farmers land. Green fields ,great IPA,s and stouts and pilsners everything is great. Nice food menu. Really recommend this place to everybody ,parents with children. Big old hill to play on.

Great spot w plenty of board games to keep u busy. Such a cute outdoor area. Food is a bit greasy which is par for the course at a bar but u can throw it all in a salad! Beer selection is awesome. Wish they served some liquor and stayed open for longer in the evening but u can’t win em all

Really cool little place. We are glad we found it online and stopped in. Atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Beers were all good. We only had the chips but they were also good. Root beer they served was delicious. And the the staff was really friendly and on top of it. Would highly recommend it.

The best local brewery! Top notch brewing and tap choices! Did I mention they have excellent food? And a brand new outdoor multi level deck? Family friendly and always on the cutting edge of fermentation and brewing with plenty of beer on tap and growlers to go!

Winter visit on a Saturday afternoon. Place was jamming! Family with adult children playing board games. College students lining the bar. Young couples at tables. A group of friends at a long table. Two families with babies. Young guys playing table shuffle board. WVU basketball on TV. We had four different beers between the two of us, all good. Had a mushroom and Swiss burger with arugula, which was tasty. Fries and fried pickles were also good. Style and ambience of the place are fun and interesting! Service was friendly and helpful from both bartenders that we had. There was a kind of rush at one point with some people coming to fill growlers and several people ordering drinks, and at that point there was definitely a wait at the bar. Great experience there. We'll be going back!

Amazing brewery. Really cool space with great brews. Haven't been to try the food yet, but always enjoyed their choice of food trucks when they used to bring those in, so I have no doubt the food is fantastic as well. Only wish there was a bridge across the Mon River from Montana to Rivesville to get me there faster!

If you like IPAs you’ll be in heaven here. Top notch. My family also enjoyed the stout, lager, and Pilsner. Great location and unique spot. Kid friendly.
