When the girl that ended up cutting my dog's nails was asked if she had time, her response was "If no one else can do it, I'll do it, but I would prefer not to." An employee who would make a comment like that, especially within earshot of the customer, in my opinion does not deserve the privilege of working with animals! I also have 2 other big dogs who I have brought there and have spent a lot of money having them groomed, which now makes me wonder how they have been treated!

LEXI was fantastic on making LADYBUG and myself comfortable, first timers. My pup is a rare breed for these parts so some added education for Lexi, and she did well. Two concerns though. First, I had to ask about a " neckerchief" or bandana. Thought this was part of "finished" visit. Secondly, Ladybugs' nails possibly could have been groomed better? Overall I am pleased, for this is a learning lesson after first visit. Ladybug and I'll be back to see Lexi ❤️

Cory is the best dog groomer ever!!!! He is always so kind to my dog Heath and gives him the best service! Petco and Cory are two trigger words for my pup! He looks forward to coming in and I have referred this Petco in Charles Town to all my friends and fam! This man truly loves what he does and it shows in his work! He also always lets me know if he notices something I should be paying attention to, to seek further care with. Just an amazing crew you all have there!

I've been going to Petco for basic grooming. They said my dog claws at the cage, and so I will have to pay for the VIP service. I offered to stay at the store so the cage would not be necessary, but they would not accept that solution. They refused to honor my appointment, and said I am not welcome back unless I'm willing to pay for the VIP service. The VIP is more expensive and comes with no additional services. This is a price gouge and I expect better from Petco.

Have been bringing my dog here for a few years now. She was born with a heart murmur and has been at stage 4 for the past 4 years. All of a sudden today at our scheduled appointment Corey tells me they can't take her because of the murmur. Mind you, I tell the groomer every time so I would think it should be in her notes. When I ask why I wasn't told this when I made her appointment the last time i was there he tells me I need to leave. Super rude and unprofessional.

It would be nice if someone would answer the phone in the grooming dept. Can't seem to get a simple nail grind for my dog and they used to be so good. I found a local vet who does it for the same price. Jen was fantastic at Petco. Gonna miss them.

Not only was I happy with the service, but the Groomer Hattie did an excellent job with my dog Penny. Her nails were trimmed down great, and her coat was so smooth. She was prancing around the house yesterday like she owned the house when she got home! Lol. First time she has ever done that.

Never had a problem with Petco grooming until today. I had set an appointment for Tuesday this week over 2 weeks ago but was called early the morning of our appointment to be told the lady scheduled to groom our dog would not be in today. Okay, no big deal just reschedule me for your next available appointment which was Monday next week. I get a call today that whoever called me to reschedule put us on the schedule with a person that doesn’t even work there anymore. Okay no big deal let’s try this again and reschedule us for the next available day... only now they are completely booked for the month and no available days until early may. Didn’t even attempt to work us in even though it was their screw up twice. Now we are having to find a local groomer who will take on a new client during a pandemic. Thanks a lot Petco.

Dawn was very good. She asked me a lot of questions about how I wanted her to groom my dog. And we discussed what I wanted her to do if she could not do exactly what I wanted ( dog had some matting) I was very satisfied how she turned out. I will request her from now on when making my grooming appointments

We brought stella, our 125lb great dane for her 1st trip to petco to get her nails trimmed. She is very skittish due to being a rescue. But the 2 girls that helped us were amazing. It took both of them to get her on the table and 1 to hold stella while the other one cut her nails. They were amazing, professional, comforting, and patient. They were able to get her nails done!!!!! We are so thankful!!Hattie!!!! She is the reason!! We have a great dane who is skittish to say the least and Hattie does a wonderful job with her!! Goes over and above for Stella. We would not have been able to bring Stella if we did not have 150% confidence in Hattie!! Thank.you Hattie for all of your hard work!! Petco is lucky to have you I HOPE THEY REALIZE IT!!!!

Corey, our grooming technician, listened to my requests about how I wanted my scottie groomed. Previous groomers did things their own way which left me disappointed and meant months and months of time for our George's furnishings to grow back. Corey even checked with me when I came to pick George up just to be sure I was satisfied. I was and will be requesting Corey's services for future visits.

Grif went in as he always does, a giant tri-colored ball of fluff that has been spending his days rolling around in the mulch and grass. When he came out of Petco his whites were bright and his fur was cleaned, brushed, and blown out so well that it could let the air easily flow through it again. That's so important in the summer for my big guy, otherwise he can't go on walks even in the evening because it's just way too hot for him. Thank you guys so much for taking care of him once again :)

Customer service was great but I took my dog in for a flea bath to get rid of the fleas and she came back with fleas and 80$ for a bath and flea cleanse is outrageous

Had an appointment for 11:30. Dog wasn't finished until 2:30, and I suspect wasn't even looked at until 2:00 when I went back in to check on him. Don't think that they did the deep hair removal that I paid for based on what he looked like. This is the second time in a row that this has happened, the time before that it was 4 hours. Absolutely ridiculous, will not return.
