Couldn't find an available private groomer for my senior pup, so I took a chance on Petco. All I can say is Lexi was so sweet and gentle with my elderly and nervous dog who was well overdue for a groom. She also handled my nerves with kindness! Additional standouts were Hailey and Corey, so super sweet and helpful. Very positive experience!

5 stars! Best cat food buying experience ever. Jarred is AMAZING, he is a cat food guru. If your cat needs a change in diet due to age or health issues Jarred will guide you to several options that are both affordable and beneficial for your cat. I am so happy with the food my husband and I purchased for our 13 yo and 1 yo cats. This is the place to go! They will treat you so well. Laura at checkout was awesome. Will come back for sure :)

Overall an average Petco. They are not always stocked with worms and crickets for reptile owners- as an owner of 2 geckos this is rather important- I would recommend calling ahead to make sure they have them. Typically very clean. Customer service is either a hit or miss. Generally overall it works especially for the small town of Charles town.

I don't have direct proof the groomer injured my dog.I do know my dog was walking out of my house as normal before his regular grooming appointment just last month, and he was completely paralyzed in the back legs when I next saw him after his apt.Because he once had a Lyme flare and because I thought surely no one would drop a dog and not be humane enough to not tell the owner, I wasn't too sure at first his paralysis was due to being injured.I thought he was possibly having a flare up and the timing was a coincidence. I got antibiotics from emergency vet. I called the groomer who assured me he didn't drop my dog. They of course noted in his file about Lyme disease.I've since called the manager and corporate numbers and sent emails starting two weeks ago requesting video footage to be reviewed. At the time of first call, it was well less than 30 days since his visit. I have of course received no answer or reply.As I sit here on the night before my dog is to be put to sleep I am full of regret and sadness. I just want to prevent anyone else from making the same mistakes I did.Be smarter than I was. Don't just trust the groomers word, don't be afraid to be mean, don't think a corporation would actually care. Demand to see proof your pet wasn't injured immediately after their visit.My dog could be paralyzed and severe low quality of life due to another spinal issue. He could have had a perfect visit with an amazing groomer with coincidental sudden paralysis. Or he could have been injured at Petco on his last haircut.I just wish I knew for sure before it was too late. Since I cannot afford neurologist, MRI, surgery, I'll never know. And since I'll never see the video footage, I'll carry the regret and deep guilt.Wondering and knowing that he could have had vet care and surgery paid for if the injury did occur at Petco and they told me.

Informative staff, great selection of salt water fish and anemones. Fresh water plants are amazing and the betta selection is simply outstanding. They do need to place pricing at each betta station as the large one had no pricing. But I eventually found it at another area. I wanted all thebetta, they were just gorgeous and lots of betta houses in stock as well. ,

Nobody asked if they could help me find a certain item,..too busy up front chit chatting! Then after my checkout, the cashier asks me if I want to buy a bag to put my stuff in!!!! Are you seriously NUTS!I just spent a bunch of money there & I have to buy my bag???? Wont be coming back there! Petsmart, Chewy, OR Amazon will get my business...not Petco! BYE

I've been going to Petco for basic grooming. They said my dog claws at the cage, and so I will have to pay for the VIP service. I offered to stay at the store so the cage would not be necessary, but they would not accept that solution. They refused to honor my appointment, and said I am not welcome back unless I'm willing to pay for the VIP service. The VIP is more expensive and comes with no additional services. This is a price gouge and I expect better from Petco.

The reptiles are kept in really poor conditions; the leopard geckos are kept in sand substrate (really the worst substrate for any young lizard), and there were so many of the lizards crammed in tiny spaces with only one small place to hide. Most of the live feeders are dead on the shelves. The employees give out incorrect information on how to keep the lizards, especially the leopard geckos.There were many fish dead in the tanks which the other fish were feeding on. Over half of the tanks were extremely dirty as well; looking as if they have not been cleaned in weeks. I contacted an employee and they appeared to have done nothing about it as I frequently return to this store for dog/cat food and the conditions have not changed.

This is, unfortunately, the closest pet store to where we live and it is constantly out of stock of items we regularly buy and originally tried then from this store.If you are out of something, your animal needs and don't want to wait for delivery I recommend driving to Leesburg or Martinsburg.

A lot of the staff are awesome at this location. I was disappointed in my dogs grooming this time. I paid extra to have his nails dremeled , but they did not appear to have been done! I had to work on them myself! Fish tanks were awesome!

I took my active labradoodle to get his nails clipped and his ears cleaned. I didn’t have an appointment, but they fit me in and did a great job with my dog! Autumn was so good with him! I will be coming back.

The fish tanks looked great and healthy. So much variety of saltwater fish at this Petco location compared to others. Under the weather fish or quarantine fish were separated and being treated as needed. I couldn’t believe what a large fish department there was here compared to Charleston WV Petco and the tanks were well taken care of.

Today the super kind woman in aquatics helped me get a replacement Danio fish for my young son while he was with me and he completely had no clue. Both the woman in aquatics and the cashier helped me pull this off without alerting my son. They went above and beyond to help me and were so considerate. It’s his first pet and I just didn’t have the heart to have THAT talk with him just yet. Thank you!

The store was well stocked and they had some good sale items I bought for my dog. Items were a bit more than I pay for the same item at my local grocery stores A good variety of food and snacks for my dog. I didn’t check out the other items in the store for other pets. I did feel like the items in the isles to walk thru were crowded with products needing to be put away. Cashier was okay. I will come back to check out sale item.

All the animals looked happy and healthy! Tanks and enclosures were all clean or being cleaned while me and my fiance was there. Employees where very helpful and greeted us as we walked in! Helped us locate items we needed and provided information on animals we looked at. This store should be proud!

Cali is a great team member. I asked her if there were any more of the salmon purina pro plan in a bigger size. She went to the back and came back and said it was the only size. Had 1 check out open but when things backed up more than 3 in line another opened . I lost my debit card in parking lot and a sweet person turned it in immediately . I was looking for card and went right back checking outside and asked .they had it thank you very much.

I like the PetCo in Ranson West Virginia. The staff is always friendly. The fish workers are very experienced. I have a German Shepard and get my food, toys, and grooming done there. 2 thumbs up
