The beer is pretty good, not my favorites but I prefer darker. The shandy was awesome and I actually like their crooked hat which I typically do not like ipas. The sandwiches are awesome though. I got the Ewwy gooey and it was easily the best grilled cheese I’ve had.The staff is also super friendly and the service is crazy fast.

My daughter and I both got The Club. Hands down the best sandwich we've had not only locally but while traveling as well. Lots of meat, the bread was fresh and again lots of meat. Definitely not stingy with it. I did try to call 3 times and place the order but there was no answer. By the time I placed the order and waited it was a total of 11 minutes. The atmosphere was laid back, clean and all the employees were very friendly. Wish they were open more days but I'll definitely be eating there at least 1 of the days they are open a week.

Such a nice find going off the path from our ski trip. Glad we found this town.Also. This growler they sell is insane. Not the normal cheap, "corked" one. I basically got a yeti, full of beer!The beer was amazing (special mention to the queen Anne's revenge), environment conducive for conversation with thr friendly locals - the owner was a pleasure to talk with and took care of us as if we were his only customer.He told us all about the local life out here and the must visit places in the state (Fayetteville for some rafting!)Would gladly come back!

I want to eventually leave a 5 star review because this is a lovely place to grab a bite. The decor and atmosphere is killer. They also had a great live band playing to top it off. It was my first time there and I wanted the pretzels w/ beer cheese and after waiting to order, I was told they were working on a new recipe so I couldn't have the cheese. I was bummed because it wasn't crossed out on the menu like some other things were. I asked what dip she'd recommend and so she brought honey mustard and French onion. They weren't bad by any means, I'm just a freak for cheese. After my friend arrived, we ordered. She got the The Donagel (I believe that's how it's spelled) and I got The Philly. We told her what we'd like on them and she got it done. She did a really good job the whole time. It was super busy so I'm more than understanding of that. The sandwiched were amazing and the French onion dip went great with the chips. The West by God Virginia paired pretty well with The Philly. Other than the beer cheese, it was a nice experience and I plan on going again.

If you haven't checked out Sophisticated Hound Brewing Company, then you need to check out Sophisticated Hound Brewing Company. The food is good, though a little pricey for the portion, but still quite good. But the name says it all, the mainstay and focus is the beer--and it doesn't disappoint. The atmosphere is spot on for the establishment. When you're greeted at the door by a Jack Handey quote painted on the wall (look left immediately after walking through the door), you just know. Often serving as a venue for live music from local and regional artists, this place puts me in mind of the spots common to larger university towns. It's nice not to have to travel to find this atmosphere. In closing, I'll add that it's been a very long time coming for the emergence of a business such as this one to finally come to be in a location so ideal. In closing--go.

The hound is an amazing brewery. The staff is wonderful, and the beer is amazing. You can really tell Matt the owner an Shane head bartender really care. They put their heart and soul into the beer they make. The food is great. This place should be on your list of breweries to go to.

This was my first time at this Brewery as I was in town for business and wanted an escape from the typical franchise restaurants and bars. I made a great choice as this establishment offers the best in food and beverages in Princeton WV. They are a booming place with what they offer plus great, friendly staff and musical entertainment that fits all moods. I can't wait for my next business trip there to enjoy again! As for anyone else who is looking for a great all around food and beverage experience whether you live local or just passing through, just get there, sit back, let the incredible staff take care of you, relax, and enjoy the moment because you need it and the Sophisticated Hound Brewery can Bring It!Regards,Mark

This is such a cute place! I love the patio with the cool murals. There are usually cornhole boards set up outside and there's often live music there in the evenings. Also, the beer and the food are top notch. Definitely get yourself a flight so you can taste a variety of beers.

Stopped by to break up our road trip and enjoyed this place. The beer was good and super friendly staff! Loved that this place was dog friendly as we were traveling with our dog (who also received a warm welcome by the hostess). Will stop back by on our next trip!

This place looks super cool. It has an outdoor area which I always love. The people were friendly. That’s the last good thing I can say. They had 5 beers and shandys on the board- but were ‘tapped out’. The menu sounded good, but the food was basic frozen food that they warm up. I got the pretzels, and they were basic frozen pretzels. The pretzels came with cheese and mustard. The mustard was good, but the cheese was out of a can. We got a Mexican lager and it was so hoppy. I love a Mexican style lager and this was not a good one. It’s a Mexican beer- garnish it with a lime. That may have helped. Make it spicy- add some heat!!

Awesome brewery with a great atmosphere. Beer was excellent and the owner was very friendly and talkative. Enjoyed some live music and some great beers. The pretzels were great as well. It was apparent that the staff were professional and the whole place was run very smoothly. Will definitely return when I have the chance!

Such a surprise waiting for you in downtown Princeton. When you walk in, you are greeted, and the cool vibe hits you! We were seated at the bar and immediately loved the overall look of the place. Our orders were taken quickly as well as an appetizer. The menu features some simple apps and a good selection of sandwiches. Really enjoyed our evening there, was worth the drive from Beckley, will definitely go again.

Nice asset to the community. The building and area restored an older property into a clean, modern, updated, and beautiful location. Servers are professional. Menu in not large but offers a nice variety and options that are not available at other nearby locations. However, service for food can at times be slow. Love the beer selection. There is a nice outdoor seating area with a beautiful mural for a backdrop. Live music is usually available on weekend evenings.

Pretty laid back & fun place to hang with friends and listen to live music. A large selection of palatable house brews, along with a small yet well-rounded menu of tasty eats. Staff is friendly & helpful. The ladies restroom is not only clean, but also has a real changing table.
