Grants Supermarket is always a pleasant shopping experience when it comes to the customer service. The employees are always so approachable.The prices however in this economy are a little too pricey for me. The same items I can get at Walmart a lot cheaper, Grants charges an outrageous amount for.I just wish they would be a little more economically affordable for the conscientious shopper such as myself.

I shopped at Grants for years. I love to support our local businesses. However, I may shop here 2-3 times a year now. I have found comparable products at Kroger for a lot cheaper prices. Example: My family uses 1-2 loaves of bread a week when packing lunches. IGA loaf bread $2.39 at Grants, Kroger loaf bread $1.79., that’s a savings of 60 cents per loaf, a savings of $40.00-$50.00 per year for my family. With the rising prices of everything saving and stretching my families budget is very important.

Grants Princeton is like the Tazewell store, only slightly bigger. I like this regional chain because they have stuff you can't get anywhere else like flat screen TVs, BBQ grills, and imported natural body soaps. Everyone LOVES their meat department.

The lady who works on the front named JoAnn has to be the absolute best with me and all customers I've noticed she is always so helpful thanks Joann and the entire store for being so pleasant! Nothing but respect and found memories associated with Grant's Supermarket. I still remember the first store they had. And going there as a youth at time with my mother.Now they have from that single store to cover many county's and across states borders.They have kept their friendly family oriented commitment and done so fairly well I will say.Where you're met with a smile. Baggers still standing at the end of the registers placing your groceries in bags while not only loading the cart back yes also there to help you take them out the car like days of old.I highly recommend them!Randall Grant has done well.Tell-em randy.fowler.750 sent ya.

Was visiting in the Princeton area. Stopped by to purchase some tomatoes. I put three green ones and one red in a bag. Got to the lady at the cashier and she was rude saying they don't belong in the same bag. Opened it up and handed them. That turned me off. Never once at the one in Galax they would think of opening it up instead knowing what number to enter to ring it up.

This Grants was the best!! I say was because I lived right next door and it was a 2 minute walk to Grants and a 2 minute walk home, unfortunately I moved three hours away😭!! However I went back to visit friends and it was still the same great place. Same great prices with great deals you can find in your local paper and same wonderful people working there to help you with all your needs. Word of advice do not try to shoplift at this store, the do have undercover police at times watch the video cameras and they will bust you. I seen it to many times to way to many teenagers who thought they were slick!!

One of my favorite places to shop as far as local, close and cheap goes. I can walk here and the type of cigarette I smoke is cheap here.I pretty much know everyone by name that works here and they're friendly, but the more higher ups sorta overwork their staff

They never have anything. I have to go to a different place to get most things that I need. And they let workers steal, on their phones their whole shift, and the one that they caught stealing sleeps on the ladder and doesn't stock. Someone needs to start ordering more stuff on truck. Cause whomever is now ain't ordering nothing. And the prices just keep going up. I wanted to rate it a half of a star but it won't let me. I used to just go to grants but it's crazy now.

I like this place when I'm shopping on a budget. They have decent enough products for the money. You can get the name brand stuff here, but you should go to Kroger if that's what your looking for. Well worth a visit if you've never been though, just compare your receipts from Kroger or Walmart, you'll definitely notice the difference.

Not very organized. Dirty floor, battered and bruised fruits/vegetables, bad odor in the meat department. Cashier not very friendly or helpful, not enforcing social distancing... Doors are marked entrance and exit, but customers come in and out however they please... Do not recommend this location.

The Grants Supermarket in Princeton is clean and well organized. The employees and people shopping there were wearing masks, including myself, so I felt safe shopping there. There were plenty of different flavors of Bigelow Tea. I would have liked to have bought Twinning Tea as well, but that wasn't in stock. However, there is nothing wrong with only selling tea made in the US and owned by American tea companies. The parking lot was clean and there was plenty of parking. This Grants Supermarket is in a good location. It is a great place to shop.

Grants on Athens road is awful price tags on shelves always has wrong prices shelves are always empty and no bag boys what kind of store dont have bag boys you should at least give us a discount for having to do the bag boys job staff all the time on their cell phones I am disabled and it very hard doing bag boys job very poor customer service at this store shopped at grants forever but will now go to Kroger's where they have bag boys and they help their customers

Grants always has the best deals in the meat department. You can watch the meat cutters prepare and package everything. You can choose larger pieces of meat and have it sliced however you want it. If your looking for bargains they have a dollar aisle with everything imaginable, the honey mustard from this aisle is a family favorite. Fresh veggies and fruits when you walk through the door along with whatever drink specials going on. The folks that work there are always pleasant and when you can leave with a cart full of groceries for less than 100 dollars it's always a good day.

It's a great place to buy meat. Overall it's a good basic supermarket. If you're looking for fancier gourmet foods, it's not the best place for it, but check the weekly flyer and you'll find good deals on the basics.

We have four Grants Stores here in Mercer County.. And they are the best family owned grocery stores in this area.. Plus the ppl that work there are so kind ,, except for the one Grants that's by the court house... The ppl that work there at that Grants is hateful ,, not helpful at all.. And they acted like they're just there to make a paycheck.. My family and I had trouble buying some items there one day.. And we told them that ,, this was the last time we shopped at that Grants.. So my advice to you is... Save yourself the trouble,, and DO NOT SHOP AT THE GRANTS THAT IS LOCATED BY THE COURT HOUSE...

Some of the crew is younger kids who have some growing up to do but in all aren't that bad. One Christmas Eve when my wife was cooking some of the dishes that evening for the dinner the next day she realized that she had forgot some pine apple juice. She called the store to make sure they were open before sending me out. However the store was closed per the gentleman on the line but he offered to place a can outside for us to pickup and come back later and pay for it. Now if that would have been Walmart or Krogers we would have just done without.
