This is my first time in Point Pleasant today. There is plenty of free parking along the main street. There is quite a selection of various shops and boutiques mixed in with some restaurants. The marina is very clean and well maintained. There is a huge mural of the events that occurred at Point Pleasant on the flood wall. Exceptional artwork and attention to detail. There is a plaque where the old bridge collapsed and so many lives were lost. There is a nice mural there as well. Of course, I had to snap a selfie with the infamous Mothman. There are plaques around town telling you of various events and the people involved. The town isn't too big and can easily be walked in a few hours if you stop by the various stores. The people were friendly and answered all my questions and were engaging in conversation. The drive is relatively short from Huntington, so I definitely recommend paying the town of Point Pleasant a visit. I plan on further trips up north this summer.

Awesome experience if you're into this stuff. Even if you don't believe it, it's still cool to see the evidence, movie props, and where the bridge fell. They have tons of merch and are very friendly. It was busy there for a Tuesday, but we got through fine. It's almost overwhelming with all of the stuff they have. If you go through Point Pleasant, please stop and visit. Even the infamous statue was pretty cool to see in person.

I visited today when I was driving through town. There was plenty of parking out front. Interested I was greeted by the friendly staff. I didn't go into the museum because I was short on time. The gift shop has a lot of cool items, just about everything you could imagine from T-shirts to buttons. They had interviews playing over the speakers. It was interesting to listen to. I definitely recommend visiting. It's so completely different from anything else I've experienced.

This museum is one of the most unique museums I’ve been to! For a really inexpensive admission price, you get to learn more about the history of this Ohio River town and it’s connection to Mothman and strange occurrences that have happened in town. There are also set pieces from the movie The Mothman Prophecies. Make sure to check out all the cool souvenirs at the front of the museum! Nearby stores offer some cool gifts too.

The sole house of worship dedicated to the most holy prophet of doom and dark portent. Oh, glorious Mothman, it of the powdery wing, it of the prescient red eyes, it of the dying bridges between river and night, bless us with your counseling countenance. The gift shop had cool t shirt designs and fun stickers! High recommended.

Super, super cool spot. Was way more intense and in-depth than I anticipated. If you're able, take the tour that also incorporates museum entrance. Ours was given by the owner of the museum and last almost 2 hours, was really in-depth and informative, and gave me an entirely different perspective on both the myth and the city itself. Such a cool experience.

This has been #3 on my bucket list since forever it seems! I finally made it & am so happy I did. It was so sad reading all the articles about the lives lost due to the bridge tragedy as well as it was so intriguing to read all the "first hand" accounts of the Mothman sightings! I am very happy to have visited the museum, thank you all!!!!

This was an awesome place to visit, totally worth the price of admission. Even if you have no interest in the mothman this is worth going out of your way for, it appeals not only to cryptozoology but history. It has various artifacts from the history of the mothman and movie props and books. The amount of information, articles and artifacts that are presented are hard to cover in a quick trip, but they cover the men in black and other things, I'd recommend going even if you're just gonna go for the gift shop. The gift shop is really good, they have just about anything you or a mothman fan are looking for. The next time I head in the direction of Point Pleasant, it will be a stop I am going to make again.

Admission was only $4.99 person in March 2024. Lots of memorabilia of the Mothman siting, bridge collapse, and Mothman Chronicles movie starring Richard Gere and Laura Linney. Free parking. Definitely check out the trading post next door with the miniature golf upstairs, which was one of the best with a surprise ending at the 9th hole.

This is the Mecca of everything Mothman. The official Mothman Museum in located in Point Pleasant WV. It has everything about the Silver Bridge collapse, the police reports, the audio tapes & props used in the “mothman Prophecies” movie. Once you’ve made your way through the museum you can enjoy the gift shop. I did pick up a few things to commentate my visit here. Parking wasn’t an issue, lots of street parking available. I recommend visiting the Mothman Museum when the Mothman festival isn’t going on. During the festival the line wraps all the way around the building. So, if you love the Mothman, this place is for you!

Make sure to check the opening time for when you are going. We went on a Sunday and they did not open till noon. Totally our fault, but just reminding people. I would guess it is super popular. As we were walking around the street there were a decent amount of other vehicles pulling up. The statue is great, make sure to get a picture by it.

What can I say about The World's Only Mothman Museum that hasn't already been said? This is the one stop shop for everything you need to know about this local folklore legend. Is he a beacon of doom or more of an omen or warning of pending disaster? Here, you can dig through actual eyewitness written statements and publications to judge for yourself. I had no idea I'd be leaving with the impression that he is a friend, more than he is foe. Whether he is a creature of good or evil, in either case, you'd be best to immediately reconsider what you were about to do, if your pending demise isn't already imminent....

This would be a great experience if you get the chance to come to West Virginia. Our friends invited us for Thanksgiving, so we came up from Florida and wanted to find something interesting in the area. Well low and behold, we found the statue and the museum. We had watched a program on Mothman. This is fantastic 👏, it was so great that even their teenage kids wanted to see Mothman 👀. Fantastic time for family and friends 😀 ❤️. Great staff also.

Fun small tribute and examination of the 1960s Mothman sightings. Fun for the 5 bucks admission and right next to the town's Mothman statue.
