if i could give this place a 0/5 stars i would. selena marcum has been absolutely terrible. she posted a surrendered dog (Winnie) on facebook but while doing so she was giving false information on the dog therefor letting people bash the previous owners and calling them bad parents for doing what was best in the situation. after selena was corrected, she proceeded to block everyone who tried correcting her while leaving the post up with lies in it making Winnie look bad and the previous family, when they are all great. she’s also lied about Winnie’s age and weight when she was given this information when Winnie was handed over. y’all truthfully need a better person to handle these things because she is very unprofessional when this family thought they had found a solution to their problem and she’s made it an absolute nightmare for them, which they do not deserve.

I work with Saving Animals from Euthanasia in Logan, WV. We have had many messages saying that the workers at the pound are now telling people they are a no kill shelter. This is a lie. They kill whatever animals they want to and no one even knows they are there. They will not even let volunteers take pictures of the animals if they plan on killing them. They are saying they are only killing vicious animals, but there is no one there with any behavioral training at all to make an educated assessment of the animals, so their idea of vicious is always incorrect. Please contact rescue groups to see if they can help before sending them to the pound.

If I could put 0 stars I would. My fiancé and I went Wednesday 12/20/17 to look at a dog, we asked if she was ready to be adopted and the guy said no not until Friday, he said the law says they have to wait 5 days on the owner before they can adopt the dogs out but he waits 7 and Wednesday was her 5th day there so we could have adopted her. Ok that was fine and dandy we waited until today Friday 12/22/17 when he said she was ready to go and showed up as soon as they opened at 830am to pick her up and he said “they’ve already been vetted” that someone from out of state already adopted all the dogs yesterday and are coming to get them to take them to Pennsylvania. We didn’t even have a chance to adopt any dog in that pound what so ever. Why even have a pound here if nobody can come in to adopt any of the animals they have ?!

This place is a disgrace! I have seen many dogs who have had willing and available rescues with which the pound did not try or even want to cooperate with these amazing groups or people to help these animals and put the dogs down without reason. This is outrageous!!!!

Logan County Dog Pound killed a litter of black lab puppies on 4-16-13. The puppies HAD a rescue & they were told NO that they cannot rescue them. The rescue group was turned away & not allowed access to the dogs.THIS IS CRIMINAL!!!!

Can never get them to answer the phone. My neighbors and I have tried many times. We have a problem with several dogs. They have never been out to get them.
