Navy Veteran with the camo vest who worked the electric aisle was absolutely helpful and delightful to talk to, I believe his name was Dan...other than that store was empty of customers but filled with employees but no one asking to help you as they are to busy flirting with one another. Worse yet, at check out, the elderly lady was rude and seemed bothered by me. How though? I was in self check out! I only asked if she needed to see my military ID for verification as the monitor requested me to. She took deep breaths and talked under her breath.

I don't like having to be a Lowes employee and not get paid for it. I don't go to a store to shop and the also be my own cashier. Absolutely ridiculous. Mostly why I would rather drive 30 miles to Menards. I don't have to act like an employee. Self checkout is a joke and I hope you forcing this on customers makes you lose many of them. Customer service is not a priority as you will claim.

Make sure if anyone purchases any gifts for anyone in the family. From here they hold on to their receipts. I got a DeWalt drill for my birthday and I already have the same exact drill so there's no need for it. I attempted to return the drill even for in-store credit and was told no. It doesn't matter if it's unopened or not. Without a receipt you cannot return it!!!!! I could understand if I was trying to get a refund for the drill but I wasn't. I said I would take in store credit and just get a different tool that I need instead of the drill and was still turned away!

Customers that may need help. Might as well forget it. I have never had such a hard time getting a question answered. One employee walked right by and I asked for help. He was on his cell phone, looked at me and kept walking as if his phone was more important. What happened to no cellphones while on the clock? I hate it.

Had everything we needed in stock and the prices aren't terrible either. Id be much more interested in a gas golf cart than I would be one of those electric models

My wife bought a grill for my birthday and the igniter didn’t work. We took it back to exchange it. The old lady up at customer service had an absolutely terrible attitude. She acted as if it was an absolute inconvenience for her, although she was doing nothing when I walked in the door. I tried to be positive and understanding because maybe she was having a bad day. But the experience continued to get worse as the transaction proceeded for me and everybody else around as they walked in. While I was waiting for her to get help, another gentleman approached because somebody hit his vehicle in the parking lot. He politely just asked if she could page somebody to get in contact with the owner of the vehicle. Her reply was “I don’t know what to tell you. It would be best if you just stayed out at your truck until whoever it was came out.” In short she was, quite frankly a crotchety old bat, and an incredibly poor reflection of customer service at any Lowe’s store.

The way my parents were treated by Lowe’s with their cabinet install is absolutely appalling. I honestly can’t believe what a poor job they’ve done with broken cabinets and horrible trim work. Definitely would not recommend Lowe’s after this poor performance. Very sad that my family was treated so horribly. The pictures I’ve posted is after them trying to rectify the situation and my mother fighting for a ridiculous amount of time to get it rectified. The whole kitchen probably will just need to be redone in my opinion.

It's our only construction store basically, prices are competitive but very understaffed. Not good for a quick stop to get in and out. Usually 1 cashier at contractor area and also lawn and garden. The sales that they make in the first hour for contractor area pays for entire day of employees staffed.If there was competition, im sure they would change this , so be prepared to allow 30 minutes a trip.

I love doing home improvement stuff and I also love gardening. This is my go to anytime I need something. My only issue is the difficulty in finding not so common items and the difficulty in an employee understanding exactly what I need. If you need a not so common item than I would do your research before you go and maybe try to find the item on the website because it will tell you exactly where it is in the store which is an awesome feature.

They had what we went for. I just strongly dislike the fact that they had no one running registers! Only self checkout available!! I usually carry my bulk items and have a receipt emailed, but if I am forced to self checkout, I use a bag per item and print the receipt. Yes, I believe it will help them waste money on paper and bags.Home depot will be my next stop, hopefully driving further will result in cashier presence.

They usually have what I need but the prices are ridiculous when youre used to shopping on the internet and there is definitely more knowledged employees now so I'm giving it an extra star and it's not because I'm addicted and should never be allowed to go in there alone anymore... Worse than gambling.. also a great way to stay poor, yet in shape from all the walking around!

Didn't have what my hubby was looking for. Maybe next time.Looking for a brown door. Since it needs to be ordered, it's $60 more than white. (Rolling my eyes)They were very busy & it took a long time to get waited (reason for the 4 stars) BUT after the guys loaded up my vehicle, they apologized for it taking so long - very nice gentlemen. (Forgot to get their names, though.) I appreciated them making a special effort to compensate for the long wait.

I am providing a 1 star rating due to poor customer service. I will start by saying the store manager is wonderful, but he needs to do something about the current employees working at the customer service area. They are rude, hang up on people, no skills to handle customers issues. They do not even try to come up with a resolution.After reading other reviews, it seems this is an ongoing problem. They did not provide a key to a toolbox I purchased. Customer service blamed me for the toolbox being locked and not have a key for it while also not providing a solution to the problem. Thankfully, the store manager is great and nice, but employees should not be speaking rudely to the customers. The employees especially the female working behind the customer service desk should be looking for something different as she has no people skills to be handling complaints or issues.

I do not like shopping at your South Parkersburg store here and then when coming to the "automated" checkout being disrespected by an older female lady for not wanting to check myself out! It seems it is an imposition to have to help me check out, and as a Veteran, I feel my Veteran hat caused her some problems. And this is the second time this has happened with the same lady!I have always appreciated Lowes and the discount they give for America's Vets and have spent a lot of money there down through the years. However, I do not intend to spend any more of my time or money with Lowes going forward. This person needs an attitude adjustment or moved somewhere in the store AWAY from the public...

This is now multiple times at this Lowe’s in south Parkersburg that we have showed up to buy an item that online says is in stock. To find out that they never update their system or even care if you drive over to buy a product that they say they have in stock, we talked to multiple employees and they all said we’ve never even seen that product and yet no one said they would take the time to fix or address the issue. I would recommend Home Depot or Menards

If I could take the star away on this one. I would... I went in to buy a breaker asked if I could get help, and waited for a time for someone to come nobody did. Other customers that were there to buy tried to help me. Left and went to a local hardware store was in and out in under 5 minutes.. it will be my choice from now on.

My first time ordering in the app my lumber looked really well picked and straight. This last time it looked horrible so I guess its hit and miss on that. Everything else was perfect and easier than trying to get help while shopping inside the store.

Terrible experience, would give a zero if it were possible, purchased a refrigerator, was promised delivery on Monday, took time off work to get refrigerator delivery. Did not come during delivery window. Called at the end of window to say it wasn't coming.. Called them back said didn't know when it would come. Called us a day later to reschedule delivery. Took another day off. Refrigerator came but was badly damaged. Did not accept delivery, here's the good part. Lowes does not handle your refund anymore. You have to get your money back from the third party shipper they hire. Good luck.! Total nightmare! DO NOT BUY FROM LOWES! The Local store is next to useless. Spoke to the manager who said there's nothing I can do. Horrible experience!! Automated message. coming.
