Yesterday August 21,2023Today before lunch but after Noel's Baby doctor appointment, we stopped at Gabe's. I was surprised to learn this was Saige's first trip to Gabe's....she's been missing out!We looked over the entire store, clothing, toys, holiday, baby etc...we decided on a few necessary items we couldn't live without! Saige picked out a Robotic snake, some neon markers, a snorkle set for her upcoming beach trip and a squashmallow animal for a snuggly pal aka pillow for her trip.Noel found a few clothing pieces, and I picked up a few things for her upcoming shower and a baby outfit for shower!We love Gabe's and now so does Saige!!!Review 2yrs ago:Gabes in Parkersburg WV is one of our favorite shopping locations. My daughter Noel and I go there almost every time we make it to the area.Today even though wacky weather outside (snowing and sleeting at the end of April)I was looking for some shorts and a present for my dad's upcoming birthdayStore is open, airy and bright. Dirty. The shelves are sticky and gross - where food is and not fresh old and gross spills never cleaned. So much merchandise is broken and missing parts. Came to shop left with 1 item.

This is the nastiest retail store I've ever been in. When you let a place get as bad as this one the same clientele will follow, a guy walked past me in his 30s I'd guess had the worst odor of anything I've ever smelled, I actually puked in my mouth. I use to shop here at least once a month but haven't been here in 2 to 3 years. I didn't buy a thing, If the management needs someone to straighten this place out I'd be glad to help them out. Current management needs fired there is no reason for this. This is the Parkersburg, WV. store.

Haven't been in Gabe's for years.they have changed so much from what they used to be.went from a mostly clothes to an ever thing store,could not believe when I went in.

This store is the equivalent of the thought process of somebody with ADHD... Chaotic, everything is literally everywhere... Their slogan should be "Gabe's... Get in where you fit in"... It's rough but they do have some really good prices on clothes(if you can find ones without footprints all over them"

Gabe's has been pretty hit or miss throughout the years but I will say they seem to be much more hit now days. Every time I go I find something that is a good deal and I don't really need so I make sure to buy it. Clothes, decor, electronics, shoes, and everything in between. Just make sure to look over your items well before purchasing check for holes, broken parts, missing pieces, and other damage. You can usually find another of the same thing that doesn't have those problems and you don't want to find out it's broken once you get home. But definitely worth the trip.

Great store!! It's actually pretty big, everything is well sorted, so it's all easy to find. The dressing room is open to try things on. The parking is always close. There is always enough cashiers to keep the line moving fast.

Spent several hours in the store and had about 400 worth of merchandise only to be disrespected by the cashier over a item w no tag as she asked if there was a tag in the cart as I asked her to check if I had another one prior in my items I believed it to be she ignored me then said she never rang anything up in a snotty voice wo looking. I then told her to cancel my items and refund them I never raised my voice to her just asked for a refund and left, with proper training it could have been avoided unfortunately but I won’t be returning.

This is the best store I have ever been in! We don’t have Gabe’s on the west coast, and while visiting Parkersburg, I discovered Gabe’s. The selections of items is amazing, and the prices...WOW!!!I have never been one to enjoy shopping. Fact is, I detest shopping, but I was having a lot of fun in Gabe’s. The other shoppers were all really nice (I couldn’t hide my excitement and I ended up having nice chats with several other shoppers...super nice people).The employees I encountered were really awesome...especially the young lady that helped me find lady’s shirts, makeup, and a few other items. Her name is Nalani and she’s a little bundle of sweetness and sunshine.Bonus: the restroom was super clean! I’ll make it a point to come here whenever I get another chance to visit this lovely state.

Good prices and clean place. The staff I interacted with was great. Just wish there was a bigger selection of "big & tall" mens clothing like 5X and above or 54 waist and above. That's why I gave a 4 out of 5 stars. I hope to go back in a few weeks and find more than 1 outfit.

They may have some good deals, but good luck finding anything. The store is an absolute mess. Everything was mixed together. The sizes weren't organized whatsoever, and there were random items mixed in with random departments (there were several men's items in the women's and vice versa. I literally found two pairs of shoes mixed in with the cookware section.) Plan on spending a couple of hours in here because if you want it, you're going to have to hunt for it. Literally.
