We took a group of students to Ace Adventure for an overnight rafting trip and had the best time! From the minute we arrived to the moment we left, the employees at ACE were friendly and eager to lend a hand if we needed anything.The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious, and the overnight camp site was beautiful and comfortable.Above all, I was very impressed with our raft guides. They were clear and concise when giving instructions and also had our safety in mind at all times. Marissa was friendly, informative and amazing out there on the rapids! We were all blown away by her skills and professionalism.

This place is amazing. This was my first time whitewater rafting, and our tour guide, Alex, made it a delightful experience. Alex was very skilled at what he did, even being able to reliable "surf" on top of some of the rapids. Safety instructions was clear and easy to understand. It was amazing to see Appalachia from the river, with its beautiful green mountains. I highly Recommend.

First time doing rafting and let me tell you everybody has to do it!!! My guide was a wonderful lady Elisa, she explained us everything with love and passion, she really love the old river. Truly worth it, incredible experience. 4 full hours of nature, great people and good vibes. Very easy to make a reservation, the tour was on time and at the end of the tour they gave us soft drinks and beers 🤩😂

Wow! The rafting trip my school just went on was one for the ages. The entire team made it a smooth process for our school to bring 24 eighth grade students into and out of the wild again. Annalee guided my boat and my students down class 4 and class 5 rapids and everyone had a blast. She even had one student ride the last rapid rhodeo style where she stood up in the boat in the front. It was the stuff of legends. Plus the food was better than we deserved. Steak, nachos, hot muffins and pies. Plus there was plumbing at our campsite. It looks like there will be showers soon as well and that will be amazing, for the next group. Overall 10/10. If you are on the fence or at all just nervous to go, take the plunge. It was so worth it.Walkability: You can walk between onsite locations fairly easily if that suits your mood.

Love ace adventure! We have camped here several times and always have a great time. There are many options when you visit this area. They have tent camping, RV camping. They have cabin rentals. Plenty of outdoor activities to participate in. They have mountain bike trails and hiking trails. They have tons of waterfalls available to view. There is a lake that has water activities available. The Lost paddle is on the property so you enjoy some dinner there.The bathrooms are clean. There are shower rooms available. It's a great way to spend some time down at the New River gorge. The staff there is always friendly. We have enjoyed every visit

ALMOST DIED HERE and the resort was very irresponsible. It was the worst experience of my life.First, the website misled us that the rafting trip was beginner-friendly, which it wasn’t. The reality was far more miserable than we expected.Second, when the instructor assigned the rafts, he didn’t consider that all the lightest people were in our raft. As a result, our raft flipped over three times during the entire trip. This almost cost us our lives!!We haven’t received any apology nor compensation until now. Don’t come to this resort if you and your families/friends want a nice trip.

Best place to have a vacation at! The service they provided was amazing! The food was also really good, and the trails to hike. The cabins weren't the best but still better than nothing.Rooms: We stayed in a cabin filled with bunks. The mattress was cheap and uncomfortable. The ac worked great though. The camp fire that you set up, is a nice setting and a great area to hang out with friends or family.Nearby activities: Me and my friends did the whitewater rafting and the zipling.The whitewater rafting was AMAZING 10/10 worth it. Our tour guy explained everything about the place and the history and kept us safe. He explained everything we needed to know and how to raft.The zipling was fun and also really cool. The three guides we had were all awesome. They kept us safe and made sure we followed the rules. The view from the zipling was amazing but I hated how short it was. Not their fault, I just wished it was longer.Safety: They told us everything we needed to do and told us what not to do. When one of my friends fell off the raft, they helped us keep them safe and get them back safely. They made sure to double check our gear which was lifejacket, harness, helmet and ect.Walkability: There are so many trails to go walking! I definitely got my steps in. The trails lead to many great places, like small waterfalls to bridges and great views.Food & drinks: The breakfast there was amazing! I expected not the greatest food but no. It was the best breakfast I had ever had at a resort. The lunch was also amazing they provided everything we needed to make our own sandwiches. The lemonade they had was also amazing especially on the hot day we had.

We used Ace Adventures to do the "Fall Run" on the Gauley River. We opted for the "Double Marathon" rafting trip, which is two 26 mile runs back to back. It was very strenuous, and not for beginners. The rapids were incredible, and our guide did an outstanding job on both days. We spent the night on the river after day one, and the accommodations and food were perfect ! I highly recommend Ace for River runs !

We did a guided family white water rafting trip with Ace and it could not have been better! The guides were absolutely amazing and the trip we did (upper New River, all day) was a perfect trip for families with kids. There was just enough rapids for it be exciting and plenty of opportunities for the kids to swim and play in the river. They fed us a surprisingly nice lunch and we even got a cool little tour of the island where we stopped. Just a well done experience all around. Also make sure to budget in to buy the pictures after the tour. The tour photographer did a fantastic job capturing the action shots and they are definitely keepsakes. Highly recommend this company if you’re looking to do any rafting. They were a well oiled machine but made it all feel very personal. An unforgettable experience!

This place is sweet! Lots and lots of things that you can do. They have the biggest lake with fun inflatables... high ropes, zip lines, disc golf, paintball and much more. We went white water rafting with them and had a great time! Everyone was nice and fun was their theme! They did not disappoint! We will be returning and staying longer to try out some of their other activities. If you haven't checked them out or are comparing other things go here!

We had a fantastic raft trip! We've been on rafting trips out West and I honestly didn't think this would be as good, but all of us agreed this was better! We did an all day trip on the lower New River which included lunch. I didn't realize it when we booked (this was a very last minute trip) but the route for the full and half day trips are the same. However, I still recommend the full day trips because you really get to take your time on the river. We got to go back and surf some of the rapids, jump of a rock cliff, get out and float during some parts, and got to relax between rapids instead of paddling constantly. Our guide, Garrison, was great at giving us directions throughout the ride and keeping us safe (and helping us back into the boat when we fell out). lunch was really good as well, with several options to choose from. Also, the whole ACE resort area was way nicer than we expected. The bathrooms, showers and changing rooms were very clean. We definitely want to come back again with younger kids to try the water park, because it looked super fun! I know there are several companies to choose from for rafting in this area, but I would highly recommend ACE!Safety: An adrenaline rush for sure, but I always felt very safe!

Didn’t stay here but wish we did. We started at the zip line and it was an incredible experience. Liz, Justin and Zeb were so much fun and really made the trip invigorating. Great information and tour as well scenery and personalities. You have to go zip line!We then went on the white water rafting trip with Matt. To say it was a blast is an understatement. I didn’t think we could top the zip line from earlier in the day but the rafting was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. The staff here are incredible and just want to shout out thank you to Matt, Liz, Justin and Zeb! Excellent work and keep the energy up.Safety: Safety is the number 1 priority.Walkability: Drive in and park. Walk everywhere else.Food & drinks: Resteraunt was great and the staff were so caring and sweet. Try the sweet potato fries and campfire marshmallow sauce

Our guide was Jordan and she was fantastic! She was trendy and relatable for everyone in the group. So many times we fell back just because the boat conversation was so good!Upper mash mashed us around pretty good, lost her and another off the raft, but she was able to give us direction from the middle of the water in the midst of a rapid and keep us going -- legendary!We even recovered in the midst of the rapid getting everyone back on board and recollecting the lost shoe & paddle! 😂We stayed in a cabin tent and they were a bit cold, as they aren't heated, but if you pack warm, they're pretty nice!Overall great experience with Ace Adventure, their lodging, and their guides!

My husband, 12 year old son, and I rafted the lower Gauley and had the BEST day. Lauren was our trip leader and the amazing Skyla was our guide. They were both great. Knowledge, really fun (but also super safe). They all took such good care of us and showed us the most hospitality on this gorgeous river. Lunch was perfect (would love the pasta salad again!) and Ted-our shuttle driver-was incredible. Would 10/10 recommend and we will be back!

We had the best time with staying in family camp and rafting there.Rafting - Best experience ever with amazing guide Jimbo, bus driver, Staff - everyone so helpful and knowledgeable. They are humorous and provided historical information too.Guide Jimbo never let us bored in 3 hour journey and keep informing about history and geography of the river and surrounding.After trip remaining lead staff welcome back us with drinks which I never expected.Camping - Amazing location and nice overlook with private hiking trails. We did the half day lower New River rafting. My son & I are experienced white water rafters, but it was my sisters first time. The experience was outstanding! The safety talk made everyone feel ready for the trip and there was a guide in each raft. There were 2, 3, 4 & 5’s. At the top of the 3, 4 & 5’s, the guide quickly reminded us of the safety procedures and were to swim in the unlikely event that we fell out of the raft. No one even came close to that, but the information was reassuring. Everyone from checking in, picking up our equipment, rafting and turning in our equipment was great - friendly, willing to answer questions, touch of humor. The day could not have been better.

Perfect in every way. Starting with the views and drive on the way in, it was beautiful. Cabins were new-ish and very clean. Supplies that are given are basic but beds are great considering they're in cabins and towels / linens are plentiful. Everything is very convenient. We did zip-lining, rafting and ATV'ing on the same site as well as waterfall exploring all within a 1 to 1.5 hour drive from Ace Adventures. We were there for nearly four days and there's plenty to do and is very enjoyable for all ages. Our youngest is 8 and we all had a great time. Staff was very kind and welcoming. Guides for the adventures were extremely nice, welcoming, helpful and attentive to every need. They really know how to make everyone feel included and happy. WV is truly a beautiful place that everyone should experience!

Just all around terrific. Went to the water-park, it was great, really fun inflatables, plus long slide and zipline (included in admission!)Went whitewater rafting, also fabulous. They're professional, yet really bend over backwards to give you a great time. They also let you take some risks in the rapids -- if you want to -- which makes it more adventurous. I did the all-day Upper New River, it was about 6 hours long, including orientation, and the drive back.Great people, great place, great activities: look no further . . .

We set up a tent for the weekend and had a great time! I would definitely recommend to stay longer though. There's so much to do and see. All the staff was super fun and helpful. They seem to really love their jobs. We did the zip line tour. Jordan, Cole, and Justin were so awesome! Made the experience super fun. The lake was awesome! We were unable to go down when we got there on Friday due to rain and timing. They switched our dates to Sunday without question. The food was good and reasonably priced. 10 out of 10, would definitely go again!!

We had so much fun with Ace adventures. Started off our kayak trip with Mark who was an incredibly patient and thorough instructor. One of the people on our team had a little trouble figuring out the dynamics of how to paddle into rapids. However, Mark took the time to ensure that she was 100% comfortable and safe before moving forward. In the end ironically she was the only one not to tip over! The second day we did repelling and rock climbing with Heidi and Laurel. Again, we were surprised at the friendliness and knowledgeability of the staff and had another awesome adventure. Lastly, when we came back to the Ace HQ we were really surprised to see how well built the swimming area was and enjoyed our drinks and food at the lost paddle. I'm surprised I haven't made it out to this place before because it is so awesome and I'm definitely going to make sure that I bring my family here in the future. Highly recommended!Safety: The entire time we felt we were in good hands with the staff and although the activities would typically thought of being somewhat dangerous, we felt safe and secure.

We went rafting down the New river as a family and had an AWESOME time! All the guides we interacted with were kind, knowledgeable, and kept the laughs rolling, and our guide Matt got us down all the rapids like a pro. After getting off the river, they even had cold drinks for us to enjoy on the bus ride back to Ace! I couldn’t recommend these guys for rafting more - terrific experience!!

My family and I stayed in Blackberry. It is a small open campsite towards the back. Bathroom facilities were pretty good for camping and campsite was well-maintained. The rafting was fun (Upper New), and I definitely recommend taking a duckie over the raft if you have the choice. The water park honestly stole the show though - lots of fun for the whole family with dozens of obstacles, water slides, zip lining, a blob, and more. The food was excellent too!Conch outlook is worth the drive as well. Definitely will go back!

we loved it!!!! The rapids are amazing, the company was so wonderful too. The lunch during the all day trip was delicious, and the guides made the trip SO FUN! If you have the option to have Kevin as your guide - DO IT! Such a fun, adventurous, and helpful guide, and his deep knowledge of the area was such a fun plus! I can’t recommend this place enough :)

Had a great full-day rafting trip along the lower New River. Our trip leader was Bodie, and our rafting guide was Jason. Both were spectacular! Went on July 4, and the river was amazingly not busy. Our guides were friendly, challenged us, and kept us safe the entire time. Would recommend this company and these guides.

We had a Boy Scout troop from Knoxville,TN in two of the cabins. The resort was beautiful, staff was great and extremely helpful. Mandy, a team leader in reservations was an absolute lifesaver when our planned day out was cut short. Hannah was extremely patient and helpful with a getting a group of 20 through the waivers and checks for the water park. The water park itself was a blast for the scouts and adults alike. The food at “The Lost Paddle” was fair priced, excellent, and the service was top notch!! We’ll be back!!! Thank you for everything!!!!
