They get all this stuff for free I really feel like they should at least make sure toys and other items are wiped down and clean before the put it on the floor. I have gotten so many items from there that is just so dirty.

Goodwill pulls most of the cool stuff & puts it online to sell at near retail cost. Sad. It use to be fun to find nice things for a low price but not anymore. Even stuff in the stores are a lot more expensive than necessary or near retail. And what’s with all the books being pulled out of stores for e-commerce?! Lastly, I never see handicap/disabled/special needs folks working there anymore. Nah, I don’t support that. Goodwill is making record PROFITS of of donated goods. Doesn’t matter if they claim to be non-profit. I also see so many donations thrown away. Please take donations to Salvation Army, Ten Up Ministries, Restore in Teays, or a local mission. Goodwill sold out years ago.

I use to work for goodwill in cross lanes and let me tell you never have I ever experienced such disrespectful rude employees I've worked at alot of places and this one here Is the most miserable one yet. My own hiring manager at the time is also very rude she blamed me for almost everything I can assure you I gave it my best when working there and never again will I ever even step foot into that horrible place thanks for wasting my time hope you guys enjoy being lazy and most of all grumpy

I go into Goodwill all the time in Teays Valley and never had a problem. I was in Charleston today and decided to stop by Cross Lanes instead and found that they have a few employees that are extremely rude. A younger obnoxious employee accused me of trying to steal. I asked him where he got his information, and he said another employee thought she saw me put something in a purse I was buying. I asked him why I would try to steal something I am buying, and I have to give it to them to look through when I check out anyway? I just had my phone and keys on me because I use my phone to pay so I obviously was not trying to smuggle out any items on my body. This was the most embarrassing experience. I have never had this happen at any other Goodwill. It felt like he was trying to show off in front of a few fellow employees. He threatened to make me leave because I responded like anyone to his false accusations in taking up for myself. I am also neurodivergent and have OCD, so I am weird at best when I shop in thrift store because of that so if they found that quirky fine it was still not against the law to be weird while shopping. I will never shop here and will only go to my regular store moving forward. Humiliating and unacceptable behavior from these employees.

Rude customers made the entire experience discouraging. One lady continued to shop as she checked out. I had around $50 items and my friend had close to $100 in our buggies. After a lengthy wait for the shopper who continued to pay for each item her son brought up to the counter we just left. Several other people did the same. The staff was not helpful in dealing with this customer, they just continued to check her out, one item at a time while the line behind her grew to over 7 other customers. I will not return to that location even though the items their were if better quality than other Goodwill stores in the valley.

Although the store is smaller than most, the selection is great. The prices for name brand clothing is priced just right. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. Overall, the experience will keep me coming back.

Ive been to every goodwill in the area. Every employee has always been sweet and helpful. And the best was the way it was color coordinated and organized but at the Cross Lanes location it was none of that the employees were rude and unhelpful and everything was everywhere all the colors were together but you had men's women's children's all together nothing was where it was supposed to be and you didn't get any help out of them just a very rude attitude

Terrible Goodwill. All the home goods are piled in bins on top of the rows of clothes so if you aren’t really tall you can’t see what’s in them. Plus it’s all piled up so you’re afraid to knock something off.To make matters worse, you can’t get through the aisle if someone is there with a shopping buggy.Bad experience.

Took my daughter to the Cross Lanes Goodwill store to look for some shoes. The store was so dirty, we left after a few minutes. They really need to clean it.

They have a lot of women's, men's and children's clothing and shoes.They have purses, back packs kitchen wares.The staff is friendly and does a great job of keeping the store organized.I will give them a thumbs up!

Prices can get expensive for a charity shop. It is conveniently located near wal mart. It doesn't have wheel chairs or carts for customers who are handing cap. Easy when I need to drop off donations although they frown if you use their dumpsters. Always a friendly staff.

Against my better judgement, this was my second attempt at donating items to this specific Goodwill location. It's closest to my home and convenient for me. Immediately upon arrival, I was witness to the General Manager being verbally abusive to employees. Once she realized I heard her, she proceeded to be just as verbally abusive to me...almost daring me to call Goodwill Headquarters and report her for workplace abuse. If less than one star was a score, that's what this location would get.

I bought two beautiful drinking glasses from Goodwill stores. I also got a nice couch, in very good condition but a lot of pet fur on it. It would be nice if they vacuumed furniture with pet fur.

I think this is the worst place for anyone to shop. They don't donate one single penny to anyone. They throw away or take home all the decent ITEMS. They were #4 on the Forbes highest grossing company several years in a row. Donate to the Mountain Mission or Salvation Army. They help people... GOODWILL DOES NOT. A lady walked in and ask for a coat for her lil girl....they refused. I was so sad for that lil girl. . . But the lady who refused her was the one I was really sad for. God help us. It was a lil big but I gave her mine because ITS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!

I really enjoy this Goodwill because it is always clean, well organized and just plain fun to shop on, not to mention that the workers are the friendless of ANY of the other stores.. I can will gladly go out of my way to just for that....

No change in rooms available maternity clothes sock so they only get a one star
