Just a friendly place to shop and I am not just saying that because of my sister-in-law working there LOL. The kids and I always get excited to go in there for sometimes when they're looking for real good bargains that's where we shoot off to and often times we don't leave disappointed.

Cashiers are very nice, but they only have 1 working between 5 & 6pm . Thats the most busiest time, thats when people are getting off work and want to run in a back out but they cant because of the long line to get checked out. Its managements fault! I feel bad for the 1 cashier that works at that time because they are to busy to think straight!! Come on management, think about it!!!!

I stopped in to buy some diapers wipes and a few things for my girlfriends grandchild. UNFORTUNATELY I had to purchase an entire case rather than just one bag of size 6 diapers... But I guess they were really busy and sold out. I attempted to get their app while I was inside their store and well they don't have good enough Wi-Fi connection so ppl can do that. It was unfortunate not to be ABLE to put some savings back into my purchase with their weekend coupons but at the last minute my friends daughter was finally able to get the app to work. It was supposed to be easy to install and begin using OUTSIDE... Yet when I didn't find everything in new Martinsville dollar general I headed to the one in paden city on my way home. STILL the app doesn't work. HOWEVER... I never did FIND my item I was looking for. So I guess in the end it didn't matter. I do like dollar general but this is definitely NOT the first time that the app didn't download as easily as its claiming to be. Frankly I believe they should do better.. And employees should be trained on how to assist ppl with these errors that keep popping up on the app. They furthermore SHOULD also be better equip by having functioning Wi-Fi available for their customers while in their store shopping and or to download their app for well deserved discounts. Either that or make all discounts AVAILABLE for everyone all the time.. Not just occasionally and there computers should give these discounts. NOT MAKE customers jump through difficult annoying hoops that never ever worked for all of us. Its really unfortunate bc I really do like dollar general. My last suggestion for dollar general is PERHAPS they be PERMITTED to select merchandise based on what their customers want and need rather than corporate headquarters making blind decisions based on what they THINK we want. It wouldn't HURT if they gave ppl in the area an opportunity to tell them what we want and need. But as a customer of over what 20 years or more.... WHAT on EARTH could I POSSIBLY know what items I personally would buy from them.If MORE businesses asked customers what their looking for... Less businesses wouldn't go belly up in the first year or two.Again...what WOULD a committed loyal customer know???? Hmmm just a thought.

They seem to have random selections of products. Cereals buy no milk, but cheese and cold cuts in the dairy case. I'm not sure meat is dairy, and I'm pretty sure milk is basic dairy?

Place was organized and clean...very little out of place. Staff was friendly and efficiently. Dont usually go to the Dollar Store, but they do have some good bargains. Will visit again in the future...

Workers are nice and try really hard the owners do not treat them right though. No AC in the middle of summer, roofs leaking, staffs over heating, snow covered lot in the winter.

Nice staff run it but in stock items are missing a lot. It's such that you can't run in and grab an item because they won't have it.

This store is dirty.I was in there just a little while ago.The floors were filthy.Most of the items on the shelves were not priced..Just a big messy mess.Dont think I will ever shop there again..Management needs to check on this store...
