This pharmacy has decided to Make the executive decision as to what items they will and will NOT bill insurance for, despite the items being covered by patients insurance. I spoke with wv medicaid whom informed me that they still cover at home covid test kits and they told me which kits they cover. I contacted this pharmacy and the pharmacist said "it doesn't matter if the insurance covers it our pharmacy doesn't bill insurance for it anymore. " In other words we will profit off patients before we will bill their insurance for items that are covered and at no cost to patients, despite us accepting that insurance. I am pretty confident this is illegal. I have filed a complaint with the WV Board of Pharmacy, so I am sure they will look into the matter further. Never have I heard of a pharmacy having the independent right to bill insurance they contract with for items that they pick and choose.

This pharmacy is frustrating. I’m just trying to get prescriptions filled and you wait 30 minutes on the phone trying to get that done…. The information in the app they never go by. I have to call every month to get a refill of my medication. It takes hours to get this done. And even if you use the app, they still need a call. Who has time for all of this. Ugh

The automated system could be more annoying about getting direct help to the customer on the phone. Nobody want to download the app!!!! You guys are the slowest and insufficient pharmacy since I’ve been since I’ve been a child. You would think you guys would up your system and needs to people. Instead have super ill people that can’t leave the house and depend on phone service

Husband took script to be filled at 2pm. Pharmacy staff said it would take 2 hours to be filled! We live out of town so did some shopping and retuned at 4pm. Pharmacy staff said to come back at 5pm! Sooo… another hour wait and now told to wait another 20 minutes!!! No doubt they are understaffed. Not blaming staff at all. They all we’re working hard.

I am neurodivergent and I called this location to check in on my medication that has recently been experiencing national shortages, the male employee on the phone was extremely hurtful, I never post reviews that are negative as I understand everyone has bad days. But this employee wasn't just rude and insulting but rather uneducated to be working in a pharmacy, the employee stated he couldn’t tell me the status of my medication because of the class it was in. He then referred to it as the incorrect class of medication and when I politely tried to correct him as I felt the miss identification was resulting in the issue with finding out the status of my medication, that is now approaching two weeks past the date it was to be filled, I was told to “KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT BEFORE TRYING TO CORRECT SOMEONE” in response to me generally asking how my medication could fall in a completely unrelated class and whether he was sure he was reading the name correctly. I was then hung up on, thats when I researched just to be 100% sure as I was stunned by his reaction and confidence that he was right. But no he was without a doubt completely wrong as I already knew. And now I am still without so much as an update for when I can expect to receive my medication of which I require in order to safely drive myself to both class and work.

I could say so many things but the pharmacy is one of the worst i’ve ever had to work with. Just this morning i’ve been on hold for a combined 55 minutes to get a script refilled. Yes, I know there is an app, I have to call and get this one refilled every month and every month it is my least favorite chore. I would take my business literally anywhere else, and will be next time I see my doctor.

Horrible pharmacy staff!!! Thank goodness the doctor is a wonderful caring person because this pharmacy is a joke. The pharmacist yelled at my doctor & hang up on him. Very rude & unprofessional!!! I wish you could leave a review without a star because this place doesn't deserve even 1 star!

Never had an issue with them till they started these new hours. This 7am till 7pm is garbage. Then on top of that they shut the entire pharmacy down from 1-2 for lunch. Terrible decision. Service is garbage now. Only reason I ever used them was because they were 24/7. I’ll be switching soon.

Every time I use this pharmacy there is an issue. Small things that could easily be issues anywhere but the difference with this location is the lack of care. They just cannot be bothered to answer questions nor tell you what you need to do.

This will be my first negative google review I have ever made. I usually only give positive ones knowing that everyone has bad days, however I will never shop at a CVS again after my experience with the Pineview pharmacy. A couple weeks ago my son tested positive with RSV and was pretty bad off. He was wheezing really bad and could barely breathe. He was 7 months old and it hit him hard. We finally took him to the doctor where he was confirmed via nose swab, and was written a prescription for breathing treatments using a nebulizer. I told the nurse to send my prescriptions to this location. When I arrived at the cvs there was a long line of sick people who were very confused. The clerk was not explaining the different payment options. Apparently there are multiple payment structures from using cash, to insurance, as well as cvs coupon cards. I watched several people offer to pay cash because they had waited 20 mins or more in line only to be told they didn’t accept insurance in this line and that they had to go to the pick up line. Which is very confusing if you didn’t have an order placed. This caused a lot of problems but what really was unacceptable was how I was given my prescription. The lady told me it’s all in the bag and looked annoyed to deal with me. I live an hour away and by the time I got home I realized she forgot to give me the machine part of the nebulizer which my son needed to breathe. Everything was closed and my only option was to go to the emergency room to save my sons life if his oxygen dipped. Luckily my neighbors had a nebulizer that we borrowed. I will never shop at CVS again!

The prices of general merchandise at CVS are in the range of 2 to 3 times higher than their competition! Seems like their philosophy is to sell 1/2 as much merchandise but Net twice as much profit as before!!!

This place is always clean!! There is always someone to say hello near by as you first walk in. And always a helpful hand near by!The pharmacy team has always been helpful to me and friendly, they tend to get to know their clients well and wave and say hello before you ever get to the counter. Makes you feel less like a sick patient and more like a friendly client who is always of their best interest. Like they truly care.They always smile and always give friendly small talk. Makes your day better. No matter how your day was going, you just need to stop here and buy something to get a friendly wave a smile. Plus, they carry a wide variety medicine, make up, and snacks and are open 24/7. Just go here.

This is quite literally the biggest joke of a pharmacy. You get told 30-45 minutes and your prescription will be ready. Fast forward 3 hours and it’s still not ready. The staff is so unprofessional and do not care at all. It also takes an hour for anyone to answer the telephone. I truly do no understand how they are still in business.

This store is supposed to be a 24 hour store and a 24 hour pharmacy! So regardless of whatever holiday it, is it supposed to be open pharmacy in store! And guess what it’s not! So is that what they call 24 hours now days! Maybe I’ll just call headquarters!!

I use this store, only due to convenience. The pharmacy staff is very rude on the phone and in person. I have worked as a pharmacy technician for 16 years. I am easily able to put myself in their shoes and am typically understanding of the daily stressors. For me to write a negative review on pharmacy staff, it must have been several negative personal experiences at this location.

This review is for the pharmacy section:The key word you see in many of the other reviews is "rude staff" and I can testify to that. Most of pharmacy staff have no regard for interfacing well with the customers. The only reason I go here is because of the convenience (open 24 hours) but i dread having to deal with the RUDE pharmacy staff.On the other hand, the general store staff are VERY friendly and helpful. It is quite intriguing that you have polar opposite experiences right in the same store!

Pharmacy regularly makes mistakes in filling prescriptions and tries to pass the blame to the manufacturer or the customer. This is more of an indictment of pharmacies and pharmacists in general rather than CVS specifically. Pharmacists are really just overpaid shelf-stockers at this point with the technology we have now. Any questions about side effects, drug interactions, etc. are described on the label or online. If you ask them for help, they’ll just read it off of the label.Update as of 09/08/2023: They're still awful. I've been trying to refill a prescription that still has multiple refills remaining and they claim they need to get it approved by my doctor. I don't know why I'm still using them other than the convenience of the location. Stay away at all costs.

Terrible. Slow. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! They don't answer the phone and if they do they immediately put you on hold and leave it for over 30 mins hoping you will hang up.Go elsewhere if you need your medicine. They don't honor goodrx because "it's too inconvenient to redo the transaction" perhaps if insurance and medicine weren't for profit people could afford to pay without coupons!!!!!!I've never encountered a worse pharmacy team.Don't waste your time and money on this pharmacy. CVS corporate clearly doesn't care to rectify the problem.

So, I just resent my husband ( as it usually happens) because they did not honor all the coupons that I presented them ( although I wrote down which I wanted to be apply and the cashier said they were all to be applied)Second, and this happens ALL the time, they directed him the wrong isle TWICE and he could not find the item.The employees will never help you mind you! Go to the one downtown, better stock and helpful staff. Shame, CVS!

One of the worst CVS ever been to. The lady manager is outright rude and doesn’t even know why she is still working. DO NOT even try to use their photo services. A flip phone from 90s does a better job than them. She said she does not care of the quality. How one bad manager can ruin the experience!!

one of my family members was picking up a canvas photo of our grandfather for his wake today and the day before she had scheduled the photo to be ready for pickup today. So, when she goes in she asks the person working about it and the employee is new so she calls the store manager, Renee, and Renee let's my cousin know that the canvas photo printer isn't working. My cousin let Renee know this is for our grandfather's wake and she had scheduled this yesterday with my contact information so why would no one get in contact... then Renee proceeded to say how she doesn't care what she needs it for and how they don't have access to contact information. Then after my cousin walked out Renee continued to follow her outside where she yelled at her very rudley to have a great day. I am not pleased with the behavior of the manager at this location.

The fact that this CVS is open 24/7 is very convenient. I work at the Holiday Inn right beside it and can easily pick up small things I may need instead of having to drive to Kroger or Walmart late at night. Checking out is quick and the employees are friendly. Will continue to come back.

MegaPharmacy CVS is ruthless about procuring our prescription refills, with dozens of emails, texts, calls, even offering to bundle the prescriptions, but then not maintaining the bundle - WITH NO ADVISERY COMMUNICATIONS AT ALL - once a doctor's refill is required for any one prescription. They say it is the Consumer's Responsibility, not their technology system's. And they want to own Aetna?
