A great No Kill shelter. There are several rooms that they have the animals divided into, keeping the lil ones from older animal. The rooms are clean and full of toys. The employees are knowledgeable and love the animals they care for. They provide private time to allow to get to know the animal you wish to adopt. You pay a $90 fee for the animal, that includes their initial vet visit and being neutered (that is a deal!). They also provide you some food to get your new pet going. Make sure you bring a pet carrier.

We adopted Sidney in September and Animal Friends were so kind and helpful. Our new kitten has been such a joy and we just love him to the moon and back!! Thanks for all the long days you devote to finding these animals homes. You are all the best 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ FYI changed his name to Oliver❤️❤️

Wonderful place. Absolutely awesome people, and you can see how they care for the fur babes. Clean, well taken care of fur babies. All fur babies were happy and content. We just adopted 2 brother cats! Handsome loving boys. We are welcoming Colonel Mustard and Professior Plum into our home. Tis a happy day😁UPDATE: Jan 12th, 2023,These handsome guys have just made themselves at home. Fantastic!!!

Me and my husband went here the other day wanting to see what they had available for adoption and we were very pleased to see how clean this place was and how happy and healthy the animals were highly suggest getting an animal from them!!!

Adopted a loveable little basket case. I hope he's my companion for years to come as soon. He was groomed and vet checked before we even met. Animal Friends staff genuinely loved and cared for the animals there waiting for their forever families.

I came here to adopt a kitty, hoping I wouldn’t see an animal prison. (So many shelters get hardly any funding and are strapped for resources, and it’s not usually the fault of the shelter). What I found was a thriving animal community with loving caretakers and great care. I cannot say enough for all of them. I met Katie and Erika, both of whom are absolutely lovely. There was also a sweet volunteer. It’s obvious how much they love and care for these animals. They give them the best they have to offer. It warmed my heart. The fee I paid covered all the vet costs, shots associated with my fur baby and the spaying, as well as helping maintain this facility. THIS IS A BARGAIN. The cat I got is sweet, healthy, and clean. There was lots of advice on how to care for my kitty, due to her special circumstances, as well as the director giving me her phone number in the event I had any concerns. This is what people do when they truly care. If I could give Animal Friends of NCWV more than 5 stars, I would. ❤️

We are so happy that we were approved to adopt a puppy from Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia! When we learned about our puppy's history it was so sad to hear but just looking at her it was evident that she has been receiving excellent and loving care from Animal Friends! Don't like this place they'll take your application and they never will do nothing with it they won't call you to get a pet or nothing to act like a discriminate against people they got the right last name or the right money in their pockets

Poor service went above and beyond to try to make it work and was still denied for the fact that they spoke to the wrong person at my vet and the sad part is I have never made a review on here but my experience was that bad that I had too
