Where do I start. We showed up for our 7:30 reservation 10 minutes early and was told that our table was just getting their salads and we would have to wait. They did put us at a table about 10 minutes after our reservation time. After being seated, it took awhile to get our drink order in. When they finally showed up she took our food orders. We never had anyone come by the table for about 30 minutes. They then showed up with the salads that were not that good, and that is saying something when lettuce is bad. When they finally showed up with the food, they were very small portions and everything was cold. Seeing as food is to be held as 140 degrees our was about room temp. They offered to heat it up, but that wasn't the issue, it should never have been served that way. We where told that they were busy. When asked why there wasn't any gravy on the potatos, we were brought broth and told that the Chef has a different way of making things. Have you every used broth on mash potatos and advertised it as mashed potatos and gravy?? The dinner was $45 person plus drinks and 20% gratiuity. If the dinner had been as advertised, I would have been happy paying that price, but when the service was so bad that our meal took 2 hours to complete and the food was way below par, that is a different story. When the manager was told this, we were treated like we should be happy they offered to reheat our meal. The Meal we were served was not near the amount others were served and we received our roll refridgerator cold rolls without butter right before our dessert.

Not bad for the middle of nowhere but they try to play the place up as a fancy place but it is not. $17 for a burnt burger, the meatloaf was just a hamburger patty with ketchup on it. What a joke. The hostess just stood there and did not greet anyone walking in. We stood there for a min like idiots then we had to ask her for a table while she just sat there looking at her phone.

Good food, friendly service, love that the bar/restaurant is right at the pool, perfect to go for a little swim then grab something to eat! Cobb salad was huge , had grilled chicken with fresh veggies and greens. Devil Anse Angus burger my fiancé had said it was juicy and really tasty!

The food was tasty but very overpriced, in my opinion. I paid $40 for a salad and an appetizer. The servers were friendly. But the chef was rude. She came out of the kitchen after I ate but before I paid my bill to ask me to move from a larger table to a smaller one. The restaurant has six 8-top tables and two 4-top tables. Most of them were empty. There was no host seating people so it was not clear where to sit. The chef said that they need the table for other large parties. However, there were 4 or 5 other large tables empty and it was late in the evening. The chef also asked the live music to turn the volume down 3 times. Overall, just made me uncomfortable.

We stayed at Devil's Backbone Campground and ate at Tipple Tavern on our first night. It was ok. We weren't impressed but weren't necessarily disappointed. A few nights later we went back and had excellent service, food, and drinks! Morgan was our server/bartender on Saturday night and made me a pomegranate margarita that was absolutely amazing!! I recommend if your in the area to stop! You can access the restaurant, which has a pool on site, right from trail 59 of Devil's Anse!

Our food was good, however, the service was TERRIBLE! Make sure you DON’T get seated in Katelyn’s section. We waited over 10 minutes for refills and when our food finally arrived the chicken tenders and fries were warm not hot which was very surprising since it wasn’t busy, (I’m assuming) b/c she was MIA for so long, we literally watched her chit-chatting at the bar and in the (I assume) kitchen area. When she finally brought our food she offered condiments and we said “yes please”…. we never got our condiments. We gave her tip to the hostess b/c she was non-stop the entire time we were there, whether seating patrons, folding napkins, wiping tables, etc! When we gave the hostess Katelyn’s tip and let her know it was b/c Katelyn sucked and we had observed her (the hostess) working, she stated that she had noticed as well; I didn’t get her name but Tipple Tavern, she was spot on the entire time we were there and we felt she deserved it more than Katelyn.

We were first timers to Devil's Backbone Adventure Resort and the Tipple Tavern. The food was decent, but it is a little pricey. Burgers were expensive and so was the pizza. Our group of 4 was considered a "large party", so each of our bills were automatically gratuified at +20%. Bad move on their part. I don't tip extra when you tell me how much I have to tip! Captive audience restaurant because there's nothing else around for nearly 10 miles or so.

Amazing food, Great service awesome little pool. I love Devils backbone Atv resort but Tipple tavern and their staff is the gem that make this place stand out above the rest for me. This is the reason on my annual trip I will book Devils backbone every time!

Good food. Good service. $22 for a Cobb salad seems a little high. However, under this Biden administration if you want to go to a different restaurant it'll cost you $40 more in fuel. Overall A-

Arrived at 11:30 when they open according to the sign on the door, but Leroy / Cletus told us they actually didn't open until noon. A burger costs $17 dollars, plus $3 more for fries. Do what? Lol food was burnt. Waitress forgot silverware, napkins and refills. Looks like a place some yupees from up north opened. Stick with local restaurants.
