Great 1st time experience with Walgreens Pharmacy in Martinsburg. Alicia is AMAZING! It was very busy and she had everything flowing smoothly. She assisted me both on the phone and then in-person, making it so easy by informing me what I needed to do, what the doctor needed to do, etc. I am so impressed with how quick and efficient this pharmacy handled everything, especially in what felt like a stressful situation. I really appreciate Alicia and the pharmacists for their quality service. If I were local, I would definitely go back.

One nice lady at the pharmacy was able to get me my medication which is usually around $100 for a refill for $57 or something close to that. Everyone there is very friendly. Sometimes they can be slow but you need to understand what they have to deal with and have patience. Thanks Walgreens.

The people are nice enough but they are always having issues with their computer systems and getting prescriptions ran through. They claim it's insurance issue or Good RX issue or whatever issue but I will say this, I don't see this at other pharmacies. I can't put my finger on exactly what is wrong but if you want to avoid a headache then avoid this pharmacy

If you have ADHD and actually want your prescriptions filled, DON'T USE THIS PHARMACY. They have rejected my prescription 4 different times this week (after telling me to come back multiple times because it wasn't filled yet, it'll be ready at this time, etc) and give me a different excuse every time even though my medication is in stock. My doctor has even called multiple times to get it figured out and was told they were filling it, which was a lie. Worst pharmacy in Martinsburg.

I am writing this review for the photo department. I have only ever had positive experiences at this location.Most recently, Bobbie called to inform me that she wanted me to check out my prints before she proceeded as they looked strange on the paper I picked. I was ordering 100+ Christmas cards, so this was a pretty expensive purchase. I have never had anyone at another Walgreen's location do this for me.Bobbie worked with me via phone for an hour to get the problem resolved and was so kind! I really appreciate her going the extra mile to make sure I was happy with the end result. 10/10 experience. Will only print pics or do photo projects at this location!

Avoid the pharmacy. Rude and unprofessional. I had scheduled an RSV vaccination for the afternoon of 11/27 after confirming with my insurance company, United Healthcare, that it was covered. I was told by the young lady at the counter it wasn't covered under my medical card or my pharmaceutical card. I returned home and again contacted UHC. I spent over an hour on hold with UHC as they again confirmed that it was covered - and while I was on the line they contacted Walgreens twice. The first person they spoke to they found to be rude and obnoxious... And refused to deal with the insurance company... Because the insurance company rep had an "attitude". The customer that pays their bills and puts food on their table.... And has had issues with this location repeatedly... Has an attitude? They called back and spoke to another - who cooperated and properly entered the necessary information and put notes in the system on how to handle and bill. My wife confirmed with the pharmacy that it was in their system properly as well as billing procedure noted on my account.I went back in this morning - and the young man - I believe his name was James - said my insurance didn't cover the shot. When I proceeded to tell him that I just spent a couple hours dealing with this issue on Tuesday afternoon - and they do cover it - and that he needed to figure it out - rather than apologize for his mistake - said he was able to print out a receipt for a $0 copay shot but wasn't going to give it to me because of my attitude. Sorry pal - my attitude wasn't the problem. It was your unprofessionalism and incompetence. The problem was you were wrong and didn't want to directly admit it, preferring to turn the customer into the issue. And you would deny an innocent and rightfully frustrated person with a heart condition a service that may be life saving? Isn't saving lives the reason you are in that profession? A woman who may have been his boss asked him "what did he say that was so wrong"? - and the young man had to admit I said nothing wrong. I walked out with my RSV shot - but I guarantee I will never set another foot in the door at this location. I wouldn't buy a candy bar or a roll of toilet paper at this place.

HORRIBLE. God help you if you get JAMES the "pharmacist." He is absolutely gut wrenching HORRIBLE. Don't even expect your federal insurance agent to try and help you out with him. He will make her cry and then curse you out afterwards. He literally is so cold hearted. Mean. Disrespectful. The worst human I have ever encountered.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have told myself to find a faster, friendly, and more organized pharmacy since I started coming here. The number of times I've received an automated call saying my scripts are ready only to come in and them not be ready is becoming the new norm. If I didn't coupon and save a ton of money here on household items here I would avoid this place like the black plague.

Waited in a line of 2 people for 30 minutes, they said my medication would be ready in 15 minutes, waited for an hour. Then made me get back in a huge line because they “forgot to ring me up” the first time

This pharmacy is so inconsistent. It seems like they mess with people meds alot and should be better organized and stocked. For instance I take a medicine that I require around the clock. I've been taking it for awhile now and its the same drama each month I get it filled. They try to run it through my insurance as a generic and yet they know my insurance requires and only pays for name brand. So I'm due today for my refill as I again require this medicine around the clock. Granted theyve had this script since the 12th...were well prepared and still screwed up leaving me without proper medicine through the week end. Because they now have to order the name brand since they don't have it in stock...they never do. Each month is anxiety inducing for me not knowing if this pharmacy will be adequate enough to take the right steps...order when they get the script and they always have a few days in advance. Now I have to go without since they don't get delivery's on the weekend I have to wait until Monday. They shouldn't be screwing with people life like this. Its not fair or right. This whole system isn't working for patients. And each time I call I get a different person and this week when I called I had one of the pharmacy techs actually yell at me and refuse to transfer me to the pharmacist.

If you want a pharmacist who is honest, cares about you & your health, will manage your prescriptions and work with you & your Insurance--- DON'T GO HERE!!!! If you want a MEGA Company who only cares about their bottom dollar and you are meaningless, and you WILL be treated that way... feel free to trust your health with Walgreens.BEWARE. Dropped off a bottle from another pharmacy to be filled, call 4 days later, they don’t know where it is, and my account has been closed & all scripts sent back to my old pharmacy. They fixed this but now one of my meds needs a preauthorization. Which it HAD before this. Now, I see a script was filled but not received with my others.

Janine and her staff are absolutely awful in my opinion. We had a package delivered from IKEA to Walgreens and they refused to give it to us and were hostile and rude. It was so bad we called the complaint line, which is something we typically don’t do. I would suggest that if at all possible, avoid this pharmacy. If I could give zero stars on here, I would. I also typically don’t do surveys or reviews unless the service is stellar or absolutely abysmal. I’m sure if you’re reading this, you know which way I lean.

I get a prescription every week! It's a freaking problem EVERY WEEK! also expect to be in line for over 20 mins every time you go no matter the time. Also they have three windows. I have never seen more than one tech at a window! Most of the time they are standing in the back talking to each other! I have one script a month that I need to pay out of pocket for. I get there and they say sorry you can't pay out of pocket for it but your insurance won't cover it either. So what your saying is I can go to a Dr and get a prescription and pay for it but your not going to give it to me? WORST PHARMACY EVER

This pharmacy is absolute TRASH. After waiting 15 min in line, I was told my daughter’s prescription would be ready in 20-25 min. After waiting the 20 minutes and waiting in line again (another 20 min), it still wasn’t ready after being there for an hour. All the while with a screaming two year old in pain and they still had no sense of urgency or professionalism. At least be honest and tell me to come back in 2 hrs instead of false hope that I would be able to leave in 20 min. The original person who helped me conveniently vanished to the back when it was my turn in line the second go around. The second lady to help was at least sympathetic and tried to get the prescription filled right then.

Wow these reviews didn’t miss. This pharmacy had the lowest price for a medicine I have to pay out of pocket.Let’s see…first they told me to transfer they’d need ultra specific information from me - which the other pharmacy confirmed my suspicions was ludicrous. Then they “didn’t receive” my faxed prescription, I received the copies of the fax receipts showing they did send them to Walgreens. They refused to answer why they said they didn’t get my prescriptions.Now I’m on hold, there is no one ahead of me. They keep putting me back on hold without answering, it’s been half an hour. The automated line says it doesn’t recognize me.

Called to verify a prescription can be transferred from another pharmacy due to it being out of stock. Was assured it was in stock. This was noon. I gave all the required information to the pharmacy staff. Came in at 7:30PM and they had no record of receiving my call. Livid to say the least. This was for a child that now has to wait another day for relief.

This pharmacy is terrible. Very rude. When you have questions about certain medications and questions about prices for prescriptions before you waste there time to get it filled, they put you on hold for someone else, then hang up. I cannot remember how many times this has happened to me, but today it has happened twice. They always pushing someone off. Sorry but if you do not like your job, then that is a YOU problem. I was very polite when I did get a rare chance of speaking with someone. Yes ma'am and no ma'am. I felt as tho I was a bother to them for calling for a refill and to find out how much it was ahead of time. First it was 0 co pay then it turns into oh we updated our system and we are having a issue with your insurance. Ok I understand, I will hold. Called back twice and they hung up on me as soon as the phone rang. I'm so sorry for bothering a pharmacy about medications. I guess that's a no no. I hope the employees get a better experience when it comes to meds they need for themselves, or there kids when they are sick and really need something and not pushed away.

Was called yesterday by Whitney for an interview to be a pharmacy tech, walked in today 20+ minutes early, another girl came in about 10min after me and said she was also there for an interview at the same time. She was taken back first which I didn't mind at first until I was waiting 40mins after I saw that other girl leave and nobody even addressed me. This is absolutely unprofessional and quite frankly after waiting that long I wouldn't have taken the job anyway.

We just moved to Martinsburg last year. Anyway we've always used CVS but I tried Walgreens twice. The first time I had a kidney stone that I was passing. The pharmacist saw me getting sick and could tell I was in extremely bad pain. He said that it would be ready soon. My pain meds. After waiting several hours I tried to get my perscription back but was told it was almost ready. After 3.5 hours it was ready.The next time I dropped off a perscription I was told it would be after two before it was ready. This was 9:30 a.m. Warning do not go to this place if you need meds. Although the gentleman waiting on me was awesome. He was doing his best for me. I think his name was Jameson. Tall young soul brother.

Waiting in line for 15 mins for them to tell me my prescription wasn't ready and that they call me up in the next ten minutes. Not even 2 mins later my prescription was ready but they made me go back in line and wait another 20 minutes. Meanwhile, I'm sick with a fever and just want to go home. WORST PLACE EVER

The pharmacy and retail staff are above and beyond polite. I have had some bad interactions at CVS recently but I have never had a bad experience with this Walgreens. The coupons are much better here along with the cashiers.

This pharmacy is complete trash. I work at a doctors office and when we have to call this pharmacy, we all cringe. Rude, hateful staff. When we call, after on hold for 20 minutes each time, we do not even get a nice greeting. The staff NEVER says any words, they just pick up and put us right on hold. When they finally pick us up off hold, about 90% of the time, we are hung up on. Then, forced to re call the store. Not acceptable. We are always having issues with this location. Something needs changed.

I would have given 0 stars, urgency of Medicine, promised to get next day and No update, after calling and waiting for 30 minutes, the update is "Medicine might be ready to pick up after 2 or 3 days". Also, Auto answering was saying delay due to insurance.

I am always put on hold for 20+ minutes, and usually I get hung up on before someone even answers the phone. I currently (as I am typing this) am on hold because they have not had my partners insulin for a month! Someone answered briefly about 10 minutes in and asked if I could hold, it's reached the 17 minute mark and I just got hung up on. This pharmacy never answers their phone I guess? 😡

IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULDHad an issue for two weeks!! Talked to the pharmacist who HUNG UP ON ME. Talked to Troy the technician who was wonderful on the phone, and and when I get there the lady tells me “Well he lied to you and there is nothing you can do but wait.” WANTED ME TO WAIT 44 MORE DAYS FOR MY PRESCRIPTION DUE TO THEM INCORRECTLY BILLING MY INSURANCE FOR 90 DAY SUPPLY INSTEAD OF 30. Absolutely the WORST pharmacy in the entire city. I would NEVER recommend a soul to have their prescriptions here. Staff is absolutely rude and will not call you back, give you an answers, nor will they give you any kind of decent kindness. Pathetic excuse for a staff and business. Called Martin’s Pharmacy who immediately handled the issue for me and APOLOGIZED ON BEHALF OF WALGREENS. Re-train or Re-Hire, absolutely unacceptable.

This pharmacy are trying their best in both departments (pharmacy and store). I was very impressed with how well the employees did on trying their best being very short staffed sadly. They are kind, caring, understanding, and patient. For the Karen's out there, remember, this is a hard time for a lot of businesses (especially from the virus) do to short staff and shortage of cash change. Please be kind and respectful to everyone who work so hard and try their best to serve you in every business. Please be respectful to people who want to work and serve you. No wonder people quit so much in businesses. Employees do not want to deal with the people like who are yelling, being mean, rude and not understanding. Businesses deserve to be respected (unless the employee was an a hole, then that's understandable) and everyone deserves to be treated with kindness equally.

Setting in drive thru pharmacy for 30 minutes with the same vehicle at the window. I feel as though you should have them move and come back if they are waiting that long for a prescription to be filled. This is so uncalled for.

The last 2 times i have used this pharmacy i have had issues. The first time they partially filled a prescription and advised the rest would be ready the following day. So, the following day i called to check the status and i was advised the prescription was on back order until 2 months later. So i had to go back to the doctor to get a different prescription. The pharmacy could have simply let me know prior to completing a partial refill which meant it couldn't be transfered. Then today i got told my insurance was denied for an inhaler, so i called my insurance company, turns out it was not denied it was approved. The pharmacy advised my insurance representative 1 in every 100 prescriptions get a false decline in their system. It should not be this difficult to get prescriptions filled. I will never be using this pharmacy again, and highly discourage anyone to go here. If i could give 0 stars i would.

Dropped my prescription off at noon and there was no where to sit, i asked if I can come back and was told yes it would be 30 to 40 minutes. Still was not ready. Call back was told it would be ready in 30 minutes prescription was not ready. Called the pharmacy again and now it's been 3 hours and was told again it would be another hour. Pharmacist was very rude to me when I explained I waited over three hours for something that i was told would be 30 to 40 minutes originally. Made me feel somehow was my fault. Will not come back again!! Only gave two stars because front end staff has been nice and helpful. Hope the pharmacy end gets better management!!
