There’s this lady that has buzzed hair cut, black. that works here who doesn’t like to do her job, she thinks she’s better than people! Not really sure what her deal is. I put my basket with my items on the counter. So she grab my items and scan them, but she wouldn’t do it. And told me I have to take my items out of the basket before she would scan them. Now I don’t understand why she acts that way maybe a little bit entitled. Idk she thinks she’s above doing her job I guess.

Scary at night. Between the location and the condition of the store I was uneasy being in here past dark. There were towels on the floor I guess due to some sort of leak. Everything was dirty. I would definitely opt for a different location to shop at. This one needs some major cleanup/renovations.

Wow wow wow I'm so shocked about my experience with the " assistant Manager" ( Katy) at this dollar general. There was no TEAM WORK AT ALL she just sat there and did nothing why this poor employee does everything. I seen her out side advertising the cigarette products more then the store? Just so so rude and doesn't seem to be in her right state of mind. I'm so proud of her employee that she haves working with her. She needs a raise.. I believe tracy was her name. This poor girl needs to be promoted.. I love this store but honestly I'm so disappointed in the higher managers for allowing someone like katy to run a well known franchise store.. LETS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PEOPLE AND DOLLAR GENERAL.. Friday 4-15-22 worst experience of my life

If I could give it zero stars I would! The place is a complete mess nothing is in the right spot, the staff is rude and just doesn’t care, and one of the workers was wearing a tank top instead of a work shirt! When we tried to inform them a jar was broke (which was glass by the way) all they did was laugh and say “we’re not surprised”. That is not customer service and none of them should have a job!

Morning of 3/26/22 8:10am.NOT IMPRESSED at all. I know in this day and age its hard to get employees, but come on DG. The cashier was leaning on counter at register too busy playing on her phone, rather than working. By the looks of this there is plenty that needs done. This store IS disgusting, it needs a thorough cleaning from top to bottomThe foors are covered in trash. Shelves a mess and in disarray. It seemed as though I was walking through a store in a 3rd world country. Then man stocking was the only one working , however he never offered any assistance. I will not return to this location it was appalling!!!!Had to give 1 star to post, didnt deserve that!!

Absolutely love this nice store! Huge variety of products from all over the globe at a good price. Deli food is fresh and tasty! Empanada like bread is amazing!Bakery is so good and a lady behind the counter is super friendly suggesting what to try!!

Staff is always respectful,helpful, and surprisingly for martinsburg always in a good mood. They also have great deals going on more than half the time. I go here more than most stores, even for little stuff like yogurts or drinks. Keep up the great work

This is a very large Dollar General. It's well thought out insofar as the location of items. The check out girl was very friendly and very helpful. Lots of signage to guide you around to different items. It's also very clean, that's always important to me.My only negative is the display of dog bowls, leashes, etc. Dog owners want more items from which to choose. There wasn't a water bowl for my 8lb. Italian Greyhound.

Prices are good. They have some good deals sometimes. The girl that was there today was rude. Took the bag of chips from my four year old and instead of giving them back like I asked after scanning them she put them in a bag.

Not only was the store a wreck but the staff seemed almost absent. Myself and 2 other customers waited 5 minutes at the register (while letting them know we were ready to check out) then finally when the guy showed up, he never apologized for our wait or anything. I will never give this dollar general my business again.

Biggest Dollar General around. I like this Dollar General due to it being close to where I live and it has been around since I can remember. This store always has most the things I am looking for when I visit. The seasonal items are always my favorite isle to look through. I would give this a better review but the store always seems very dirty and not very well maintained. Plus this store gets crazy busy at times and you literally stand in line for 15+ minutes. The employees are always very nice and helpful. If DG corporate put some more money into this store it would be one of the best.

The Dollar General used to be our go to place for quick office items, maybe some two liters or quick party stuff. Since the renovations done to the local store we have noticed a "dramatic" change in prices, some as much as 80%. Really Dollar General? Two stars are only because of the amazing staff.

This is a blanket statement that is applicable for all these stores in this region not just $ General it applies to Family $ & Dollar Tree as well as Walmart or any other store of convenience where families wish to shop & spend their monies~Outside parking area & sidewalks of the store really need continual cleaning maintenance.The trash blowing all around & mounds of discarded cigarette butts littered along the storefronts & parking lot from customers is a really bad eyesore & people do not want to step out, shop, & get back in their automobiles where it is filthy.We are always seeing employees standing outside in the front smoking or sitting in their cars smoking or standing out back of the store or in the public restrooms or refusing a patron the key because an employee was just in there smoking or using vape or placing a cleaning sign or mop bucket to perpetuate this activity in the public restroom of the store.All the while not properly maintaining said restroom in clean standards.An employee walking down in front of another stores place of business operation to smoke or vape or use any tobacco products are all violations of the rules & regulations of your companies employee handbook which are also violations of laws that can place fines against the business where you are currently employed.This is inappropriate activity at all of these stores in this entire region of Maryland & West Virginia & Virginia & Pennsylvania or in any state nationwide.It is extremely unhealthy to customers & their families who have to pull in2 a parking space or walk by you as you are Smoking or using Vapor materials or Substances of any kind. The attitudes the employees give toward their paying customers because they have to put out their cigarette & go inside to actually do their job is deplorably disgusting not to mention the fact they reek of tobacco smoke, vape, or other & do not wash their smoked up dirty hands & touch the items you are buying for your family w their filthy hands is beyond gross.Invest in self check out terminals & outside agency contracted security personnel to keep your customers & employees safer.Pay your employees a decent working wage to just handle freight, continually clean & front merchandise & properly stock shelves their entire shift.Eliminate all the lazy members of your management team who are not physically actively working with your staff members to keep an excellent appearance of your stores inside & out.Immediately terminate any member of your staff who does not maintain & represent proper business standards at all times & lacks work ethic especially if they are or aspire to be a member of your management team.Do Not Allow any member of your team to talk/gossip about any of your Customers especially in any ill manner.This type of inappropriate conduct will result in that person or other persons who are shopping within the store where you are working to go elsewhere & quite possibly not return themselves as a customer.WITHOUT that CUSTOMER who just left your store, restaurant, or any place of business that serves the public because of their extremely horrible experience be it a few seconds, or minutes, or almost an hour or longer when they did not receive proper care or service while they were there will eventually result in absolutely NO NEED 4 you as thee employee.

This is Definetly my Go To Store for alot of my quick pick up groceries, grandbaby items, kitchen/bath items, pet items, laundry & heck just everything I need. I have found that since I shop at Dollar General, I rarely go to the big "W" anymore. I mean, why fight finding a parking spot, the crowd in the store & then only one or two cashiers open when they have 20+ in the store. That just makes no sense. At Dollar General, the employees great me when I walk in & are at hand if I need them anywhere in the store.

Family owned and run "Do It Best" hardware store. Same owner and manager since store opening 10 years ago. Peeps, rabbits, garden plants, seeds and everything you need for a DIY home project. Better prices and customer service than their big chain competitor across Route 9. Support your local small business!

I have been shopping the Eagle School Rd. Dollar General for years now.. I am able to find a lot of the little to the big extras I need there and manage to save money which is important for all of us now days.. I have never had any problems with their staff and have found them helpful when I couldn't find a particular item or was unsure about an item..

I absolutely hate this location. I carry a large purse every day because i have alot i have to carry due to a child I watch in diapers as well as my own child with meducal problems and my own personal items. I walk in the door and was told that I could not bring my purse in the store due to being a large bag or they would search my purse before I left and that it was policy. I have been to the dg near my house a million times and never was i ever told this before. I will not allow anyone to search my purse and physically handle the medications and equipment in my purse that is needed for my daughters health nor my own medicine. My purse is where I keep my wallet (like most women) which is where i keep my money (like most people) to pay for the items im buying. How can you tell someone they cant bring their purse into the store unless they agree to have it searched before leaving and who the hell are any of the employees to determine what is and is not the appropriate size for a purse!?! Absolutely disgusted! Will never shop at the location! Family dollar is right down the road from this location and no one there had a problem with the size of my purse.

Im giving this store a 5 star just for the great customer service keep up the hard work guys you do a great job running the store i wish the other doller generals was like this store clean an respectable! Has everything you need for your household needs and a groceries, laundry, pet supplies, electrical supplies, rugs, batteries, flashlights, lighters, beverages of all types but no alcohol beverages. You definitely get your dollars worth on each item for the amount in each. Highly recommend.

I went to store to make a return I did. The manager then proceeded to tell me I couldn't purchase cig with a gift card. He yelled at me in front of other customers and told me he was going to call the police on me for making a scene. The cashier then did my transaction. YOU CAN BUY ANYTHING IN THR STORE WITH A GIFT CARD ...

NEEDS updated..automatic doors, computers, check out lanes, floors etc. With these things it would definitely be a 5 star store very clean, well stocked store with hard working & feeling employees :)

Haven't been in the store for a while. Things have changed a lot. It looked very cluttered and dirty. Hope to see it improve.
